I know the rivalry isn't really there with CU hoops but they're going to be really really good next season. I'd like us to sign a 3 or 4 game series with them, one in Lincoln, one in Boulder, and then maybe 2 "Neutral" games in Denver and Omaha/KC.
The idea sounds great - i'm all for more games against teams in the 500 mile radius for all sports (get rid of some of these non-con games that are nothing more than a game against somebody besides our scout teams. This is a chance to support the western side of the state and could include more games with Wyoming. I don't see Omaha and KC fitting in here - are there any options West? (NW Kansas, Grand Island, Hastings, North Platte, Scottsbluff.....

The Bobfather. He built Nebraska football
Frazier. Without Tommie, TO might be remembered a tad different.
Ahman Green. I've always thought he didn't get the credit he deserved.
Fryar. It's hard to take him over Rogers, but he didn't have that felony thingy.
If the stories are true then fryar would have never recovered

I put the spreads based off nebraska being the first team. And the actual line is Nebraska +1. The BP line is what Brad Powers would have it at based on his power ratings.
You missed my point .

If the reality is that Adrian is the great QB some think but the rest of the team is not good enough to win games this fall then maybe it makes sense to redshirt Adrian this year along with any of the two deep prospects that can also be held out. With the 4 game rule Adrian can be saved for the games where he can make the difference in games as we go along. We need to build for the future and if this year is another rebuild (throw away effectively) the Frost needs to plan accordingly. I dont think 2020 is hopeless at all but that seems to be the gist of what quite a few are suggesting.
Wonder if this plan will have an effect on roster management and recruiting?

SF wants the run game to look different then it has - the 2 missing links were the oline and TE/WR that could double as running backs - we should start getting a taste of it this year

This applies to fans also - F all of them
Oh wait - all but .1.

Really interesting quote from Wan’Dale about Lubick and Frost today “Him and Coach Frost probably get along a lot better than most people that he’s ever worked with.” Am I reading into that too much?
seems like a shot at Walters. Maybe I’m reading into it...
No way that you read too much - WR almost said too much and then paused and tweaked his tone to not say too much.

There will also be a star system that kids talk about and Nebraska will be in the top tier - this is a recruiting tool that is already leaning in our favor

NU will go 1-1 to finish the season
There will be red koolaid for sell this off season
-
The two walk ons are not burning a red shirt for 1 or 2 games in the tournament- so adding a "body" that would be a 1 week walk on is wise....

A lot will depend on what he did. If it is due to being late to practice and meeting, I can see him back for a while.
Agree if that is the case - my guess is that CM was looking for a reason to screw up and not being in the lineup was enough / at the same time FH and staff were looking for a reason and the screw up could be the final straw.... I just look at a guy like Thor that seems to have had success and probably showed a good head the whole way and then CM maybe not so much..... FH has a plan and he wants to get there quick and a 6'2" headache is not on the path.

Problem is, if he's as good as advertised I wouldn't be shocked if he's a one and done. Could be totally wrong, maybe he really wants to get his degree, or wants a second year of good film. But I agree the future on offense is looking much brighter.
This is a valid concern - but if it occurs SF should be able to sell the same story to another guy in a similar situation. The following year the young pups should be more then capable.
-
Cam Mack is a great player and has the talent to be really good. I'm not sure in year 3 or 4 if I guy the size of CM gets recruited to Lincoln. I think there is a good chance that the staff would rather bring in an extra transfer and not deal with the headache that will continue for the next 2 years. There are a lot of unknowns when bringing this many young guys in for the first season and the staff likes what they see in the 3 sit out players that will be eligible and playing next season.
-
Biggest difference is 4 years ago we didn't have a backup plan - now we do.

Their maturity level has a diect correlaion to how this season has gone and the new players that will be eligible to play next season.

For the life of me I can’t figure out the rational of those people. Aren’t all these qbs “his guys”. Couldn’t agree with you more.
Actually heard frost didnt want to recruit any qbs the past 2 years and was going to start in 2022 - but he then read on the board that we should take one a year

Here's hoping that his medical issue is nothing that will affect him with any quality of life issues later on in life. Is he eligible to go on medical scholly so he can finish up his degree?
This is second hand - so dont know if true
But injury is no longer an issue. Problem is that it was BP fault that he got hurt and straff was not happy because he didn't take things seriously and things were down hill after that.

I don't necessarily disagree with you fully, but before teams can go from point A to point C, there is generally a point B in the middle. Also, take a look at the teams which scored 40+ in 2019. These are the tops teams in the country. Yes, it's a great long-term goal, but I think NU being in the top 20 in scoring offense is more attainable for 2020 and 2021.

Maybe point c = 50

If Manning gets to campus and we find a QB, the offense will be unstoppable. The defense will be the same caliber, we basically will swap good groups and struggling groups so will be a wash and we will all hate Chinander again. Special teams will be better simply as a regression to the mean. Find a QB and a take the top off receiver and we will be a much improved team.
This looks spot on - however don't know that our DL will be downgraded. We have so many options this year and Green could have played more last year if it wasn't for the redshirt / plus davis twins weren't really built for this defense and not sure their heads were 100%. I think only position on d that will be iffy is Lamar Jackson and even that may be a surprise with what was held out last year.

I think Jervay might be told to move on. A walk-on could also be in the mix above. So that covers three of the four. We need to see if someone else moves on.
Good chance that when you see 13/14 new players and most envision themselves being in the mix that 2-4 would move on if things don't go as they had hoped.

Why would you not believe a woman who said she's not pregnant with someone's baby......in an unfortunate situation where she shouldn't even have needed to do that about a personal situation?
It's a terrible situation that young kids have to be put in that situation, however Nebraska is a very sports oriented state and sometimes that comes with the territory. The tweet didn't really go into depth and didn't really answer the situation completely which I agree shouldn't have been needed. But there is a chance that the rumor wasn't so rumorish.

Assuming both teams get off to good starts I see this spread approaching and passing 7 points. So Getting NU right now under 6 and even at 3 would be solid - a 1 TD victory for NU would be very obtainable. Now if the season doesn't get off to a good start we all have seen what can happen.
