  1. http://www.hogshaven...loited-redskins See you guys obviously have no idea what you guys are talking about. Proof. Like I said on message boards there is generally 1 person that knows what they are talking about and the rest bash them. NOW I am going to go talk to intelligent people about football. As opposed to staying here talking to people that know NOTHING about football.

No one said it wasnt a package. Your better of going and talking football with intelligent people. Maybe someday we will all know football as well as you, and you can come back and grace us with your presence. Since, you know, your the 1 person on the message boards that knows what they are talking about and the rest of us are...unintelligent

You will never know football as well as me, you all lack intelligence!!

  2. HSome articles have mentioned it. Especially when Bo was targeting some hybrid type players that would fit a 3-4. Also Bo favors a two gap which is primarily used in a 3-4. I use to think that he was going to switch as well for a while. Bo is not going to switch to a 3-4 though. He might sprinkle it in a little bit he is going to stay with the 4-3.

  3. Bo wants to run a two gap, that is why he is getting the players he is getting. My thoughts on the two gap is that you need leverage. Steinkuhler is 6-6 it is hard to get leverage at that size. Bo is not going to abandon the two gap. Look at the DT's he is going for.

  4. Wow just wow.

Serious question do you actually watch Nebraska play or do you just come to the message boards?

This is thee most ridiculous question to thee wrong person. Paul and I went to three games together and I'm going to tell you the man knows football big time. The fact that he refraining from commenting on your post should tell you a lot.

    Obviously he doesn't

  5. kind of both I always think of a the peso. as a combination of a LB and CB. Bo likes hybrid players, and I think he is a defensive genius. He hasn't quite got all of the players he wants to do all the things he wants to do on defense. He has kind of been making due with what he has. At least that is kind of what it feels like. There was a transition period when going to the big ten, but watching him recruit the players he has this year, I get the sense he knows exactly what he wants for the defense he is planning on running. I actually think he is going to get the players he needs to do what he wants in this recruiting cycle. Ben Bradley is definitely one of those players that he is looking for. Which is why he has been recruiting these DT's the way he has. People that are calling for Bo's job don't understand this, but I am really hoping he gets these guys, cause I want to see what Bo's defense will be like once he has the exact players he wants. He is a little unorthodox but Bo is a great defensive mind there is no doubt about that. The difference between the DT's he seems like he is going for now vs. what we have now is they are a little bigger. 300 to 315 lbs. kind of a DT/NT hybrid. Bo is going to have hybrids all over the field next year. DT/NT DE/OLB S/LB CB/LB.

  6. A 2-4? Brown at peso? Not sure where to start here, but, no.
and basicly yes a 2-4 all the ends have to do is stand up and it is a 2-4 100%, but in our system they play in a down stance. Although I have seen our ends stand up on occasion, and Brown is already getting reps as a peso type player. so yes. I am going by what I have heard from practice.

A peso is basically a small, weak side linebacker with strong cover skills, ala ciante, and hagg. I hope brown has that kind of cover skill, but everything I've heard to this point emphasizes his pass rushing skill. I would love to see him have the ability to play peso, but I'd be awfully surprised.

As to the 2-4, if you're talking about for specific pass rushing downs, sure. No way we're moving towards it as a base though.

Well they had Eric Martin as the listed starter, and you guys can bash me all you want like PaulCrewe who knows nothing about football. I am just pointing out that are DEs are LB hybrids. Every expert on the planet says the same thing, but you can go ahead and disagree with the obvious. As for Brown he runs a 4.4 which is part of the reason I was told they were using him in coverage situations. So he's a 6-2 210 weakside linebacker that runs a 4.4 40. So it made sense to me that they were using him that way. Anyways this is what I sometimes hate about message boards there is usually one person that knows what they are talking about then a bunch of clueless people like Paulcrewe bashing the person that knows what they are talking about.

  8. I like Ben the more I research him the more I like. A lot of people were thinking that we were going with a 3-4, but what I realized is that we are basically going to a 2-4. The OLB will most of the time be in a three point stance, but all you have to do is stand them up and it is a 2 -4. It is a combination of a 3-4 and a 4-3. Cause we already run a two gap with the DT's. Instead of having a DE NT DE. We have two DT's. Honestly though. The type of DEs Bo is now recruiting are Eric Martin like. The are basically OLB's and will play that at the next level. So I think of the defense as a 2-4 with a peso like players in Evans. soon I believe Thomas Brown may be our next peso type guy. But with that type of defense. I would think you would need a NT/DT hybrids at your tackle positions. You want them big because you are giving up size for speed at the LB and DE positions. but you also want them to be agile enough for willing in the gaps not only up the middle but the guard/tackle gaps as well. A DT at 310 would be a perfect size for that. I think Ben and Toby would be perfect for Bo's scheme. Any combination with these guys and VV would be great especially due to the fact we are in the Big ten

  9. We just signed 3 Safeties in this class, plus are still looking at Willis plus we seem to be moving a CB to Safety. Almost over kill if you ask me. I wouldn't mind seeing a CB in this years class. I think Harvey will do fine, and since we will probably see Rose starting next year at CB, I wouldn't doubt if we see one of the CB's start next year at Safety. We have several good CB's and Safety would be a way to get that talent on the field. Cooper would add some depth.

Willis is a CB and would be the big fish we are trying to get. The kid's a stud.

If we get Willis.. he will be starting next year by at least 3 games in.

Maybe at Safety. Who is he going to start in front of Evans?? Evans is one of the leaders on defense. Jonathan Rose?? Rose has experience, and was rated just as high or close to what Willis was coming out of high school. Mitchell?? Mitchell has been our number one coverage guy all year on a defense, and our pass defense already is one of the best in the nation, and as a junior he will be even better, and I doubt any Freshman will be able to walk in and just take his starting job. We also have a lot of depth at CB and a lot of Seniors. If he wants to play significant time next year it would have to be at Safety. He is capable at excelling at both positions.

  11. He is looking away from Georgia cause Rodney Garner left from Georgia for Auburn. He is visiting Auburn before he makes his decision. Ben Bradley seems to have us as a favorite, but there is still no reason for us to believe that Toby has put us towards the top of his list. Package deals are not something Nebraska has ever had luck with. Both Ben and Toby coming here seems to be more rumors and speculation at this point. There is some teeth to Bradley looking our way though.
