Trump isn't tough on China. Come on, all he's doing is leveraging the US economy to get more trademarks for Ivanka, and Hotel deals for him. This was never about the American worker for him. How does anyone still believe that???

you might want to check out the latest happenings in the SCS.  Now that the trade deal is kaput I think Trump is on the verge of issuing a Reagan-esque directive to put the CCP out of everyone's misery.

Of course Biden doesn't work for us, he's taking millions to billions from rich people and corporation. You know, just like Trump and the Republicans. Plus Repubs are taking from gun manufacturers, so take maybe take their motives with a HUGE grain of salt.

That's probably the scariest thing about Biden.  For years we've watched multi-national companies shift jobs overseas to China with the explanation "Globalization is good, the market is just being efficient and those factory workers can now do more technical jobs".  Next came high tech jobs as multi-nationals required their engineers to train their Chinese replacements.  Along comes Trump and he starts talking about the dangers of China.  Trump wasn't elected by a bunch of racist deplorables, he was elected because of one word- China.  These multi-national American companies don't give a damn about American people.  If Trump was controlled by corporations why would he be tough on China?  It's the exact opposite, the multi-nationals still want the fools gold that is the China market and need Trump out of the way.  I don't want the tax returns of a billionaire that decided to become a public servant.  I want the tax returns of public servants that have become millionaires while in office.  Why are Democrats so quiet on China?

Are you ignoring where Biden explained his interpretation of "defund the police?".

I tried but his explanations tend to be rambling, incoherent...you know, the thing.  If Biden wasn't a blow with the wind politician that never had an original thought, and had strong convictions I would listen to what Biden says.  He is not and I don't believe he has the ability to fend off the far left.

I really don't get the logic.  The "opinion" article is based on the idea that most Democrats don't want to disband police forces, but re-organize responsibilities and services.  AOC disagrees.  And you took the logical leap to assume that most Dems want to disband police?

You don't sound like a thoughtful poster at all.

You do know that Biden wants AOC to be part of his administration?  Are you ignoring Omar?  I'm not.

The police definitely seem to have a little too common a habit of escalating with weapons rather than de-escalating. There's actually a thread about that, with over 700 documented cases of bad police behavior over the last several weeks you should check it out.

At least the police have trigger training.

So defund the police?  I see a problem when Democrats want to take away or erode police protection while eliminating the ability to defend oneself.  Some on the far right might support getting rid of the police.  Don't complain when they take matters into their own hands and there is no police to arrest them, they may not like your complaint.  There is $500M worth of bad mob behavior in Minneapolis, should we examine that?

Mark McCloskey is a pompous douchebag who probably broke the law, was 'defending' his home against zero people trying to get in to his home, definitely shouldn't own that specific gun and is lucky that his escalation didn't turn lethal as those situations too often do.

If McCloskey was a threat to these "peaceful protesters" imagine what the police would do to them, so defund the police?

Is Obama coming to take away our guns again? Or FEMA putting us in camps again? Or is the migrant caravan going to get us again?

WHICH THING THAT ISN'T ACTUALLY HAPPENING SHOULD WE BE OUTRAGED ABOUT NOW??!?!?!

Biden wants to get rid of AR15s, the gun Mark McCloskey used to defend his home.  Remember, Biden doesn't work for you.

captain bone spurs to the rescue?

I think he is the best choice.  If Biden is elected you really have no idea who will be in power.  If you look at their policies it appears far left people with a lot of Bernie influence which will undo a lot of what Trump has put in place.  Trump created a decent economy with low unemployment, why undo those policies that got us there?   It's because Dems believe in a bigger government giving more control over people.  How do you pay for that- higher taxes.

I laugh every time people call liberals Communists because I know several people in the U.S. who lived in Communist countries and they all think the Republican party right now is horrible.

Tell your friends to stop watching main stream media.  What I see in the Republican party and Trump are freedom lovers willing to give up their lives to protect their freedoms, not the Republican party.  Democrats on the other hand show some disturbing trends.  Lately Democrats have been hyper critical of America to the point it appears they hate America.  If they hate America do they want to shred the Constitution?  If you listen to the Squad, the answer is clearly yes.  Cancel culture is a creation by the left and now extends to all subjects: race, religion, politic views resulting in a loss of job if the mob deems you not in line with their thinking.  This created a slippery slope where 1A is being infringed on and is frankly totalitarianism behavior.  BLM, an organization founded by Marxist, with a convicted terrorist as a fundraiser directly supports Democrats.  A stated goal is to get rid of Trump.  It doesn't take much imagination to imagine BLM and Antifa on the march as modern day brownshirts.  Perhaps the most disturbing thing is the Russian collusion hoax.  All started with the bogus Steel dossier commissioned by Hillary and the DNC.  Throughout the investigation, despite the belief that there was nothing to the Russian collusion, politically motivated people continued for 3.5 years costing millions of dollars.  Now details are coming out to show how bogus the whole thing was.  This is an abuse of power that makes Watergate looks like a church social.  Remember the government has unlimited funds to prosecute people.  This should be a concern for all citizens but it begs the question, how far will Democrats go for the sake of power?  All but 1 case of mail in voter fraud I've seen is by Democrats.  All people should insist on a in person voting with ID to ensure a fair election.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. Do you understand that the Kaya Identity is itself a mathematical model? It's trying to mathematically describe the factors that contribute to CO2 emissions.

And there's nothing magical about that equation that makes it the correct model to describe what's actually happening. That requires data and experiments to provide supporting evidence. For example, swap out population P in that model with any other variable and the math still works out because the equation is simply a circular identity: F=P*(G/P)*(E/G)*(F/E). For example, if instead of population I used number of cars C, then the equation still works mathematically: F=C*(G/C)*(E/G)*(F/E)

Gotta give credit to people that are still worried about the environment right now.

For the record, I'm not.  I thought the pandemic would make people more worried about having a job than pursuit of a green utopia.  Along comes the Democratic platform :bang

Amazing that you managed to both put forth how population matters based on  a mathematical model for CO2 emissions and implied models are worthless in the same post.

    twisted-up.jpg

That looks painful so I'll help you out.  The equation is a simple one of how much CO2 is being produced.  Here it is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaya_identity.  The models predicts how earth reacts to the CO2 produced which is not so simple.

This kind of nonsense is why Democrats might win the Senate, nobody takes the threat of "omg socialism" seriously outside of highly conservative circles.

Please, continue to post stuff like this all over social media, here, and any platform available. Democrats might actually win Senate seats in Georgia and North Carolina at this rate!

So socialism with 1 party rule sounds good to you?  Congratulations you now have communism.

Whoa man, @Notre Dame Joe is our village idiot. You can't just waltz in and take his title. It's gotta be earned. That being said, fine work so far, keep grinding my guy.

I consider us the adults in the room.  Conservatives let Dims play government for a while and then we step in to clean up the mess.  New York is a good example:  Dinkins (D), Guiliani (R), Bloomberg (D), DeBlasio (C), Some Republican.  Democrats are in such a mess they almost nominated a communist for president!  Now y'all have a puppet controlled by radical leftists.  Fret not, I am here to red pill you.  It's not your fault the Democrats have been taken over by socialists, take my hand and we'll just #walkaway.

I love how we've gotten to a point where doing the absolute bare minimum to be responsible and try to protect other people makes you a clown for some folks.

And we've somehow retconned Russia as a friendly, helpful ally against China. It's almost as if it's all a ploy so Ivanka's Chinese trademarks, Trump's being massively in hock to the Bank of China and his kissing of Xi's rear end can fade into background noise.

Alas, it's not going to be that easy for our Trump-loving friends, I'm afraid.

I'd give Ivanka 10 cent for her Chinese trademarks which is how much China respects trademarks.  Bank of China no longer holds Trump debt.  I guess you are unfamiliar with triangle diplomacy.
