  1. just offered quarterback anthony jennings today. thats all you Nexus

Yes but he is a Pro style QB. Thats weird to see the staff offering both.

No Jennings is a Dual threat. Hurt his knee last year, but played all season despite that. The injury forced him to be primarily a passer, but when healthy he is supposed to be a pretty good runner.

Thats what it said on 24.7 sports.Said he was the 24th pro style QB in the nation.

  2. Not concerned at all. Ive said before i would like to pick up an OL or two before fall and that would be a great start going into fall. We are sitting pretty decent at skill positions, except TE. Would like to see 2 HS TE and a juco, with one of the 2 HS TEs able to switch positions if necessary, being more of a develop kid, since we have the numbers to take this year.

Pelini has said he wanted to be around 10 by the end of the summer. We are seeing this defense only because kids are looking at our depth at LB and DE with the opportunity to play in a Pelini defense and play early, and the smart kids are jumping on it. We have enough "develop" kids IMO, we need kids like Mcmullen and Mathis that can come in and play very early, because we are going to need them very soon, and they recognize it. Same at LB.

I will keep the thread going and guess that Nathan Gerry will be the next committ. I know quite the stretch.

Nathan Gerry is a good guess but that kid from Skyline really seems to like us add in his dad is I think a Husker fan you could get #7.

Devante Kincade probably doesn't commit anytime soon. His offer list will blast throught the roof after the Elite 11 camp. He "won" the Texas/South sectional of that Elite 11 camp to get the invite to the big show. And he didn't just best a bunch of patsies there either. As, I believe it was da skers said in Kincade's thread, he looked and played better than Tommy Armstrong in the state finals last fall. Much like Nate Gerry this recruitment is about to get very busy.

Add Jerel Morrow to that bottom list.

  3. Man Hope this works, I put it on facebook and gave a few more $ ..... Funny how we are a 3 gereration family that lived in Lincoln for 7 years and got addicted, now we are all grown up but once a year we go a game at all costs and come from Oregon, Utah,Minneaplois, and Indianaplis ........... There in no place like Nebraska.

Haha funny how that works I am easily the biggest husker and I was born and raised in Kansas and my dad was born in Omaha. I also have some cousins in Omaha as well. Im from Kansas so I cant go to that many games but when I do go there is no place I would rather be. Goosbumps every single time and it never gets old.

  4. I think Joe Mathis is a silent commit. Will he hold up as one? I have no idea. But I think he is a silent commit at this point. His coach had too many quotes that hinted NU was knock your socks off impressive.

    Possibly why Sua is visiting?

Im trying to remember but wasnt it because his coach said it was wonderful and had a meeting or something here? And add in that Joe probably told him it was good he might want to expeirence it himself.

As much as I would love to belive this I cant think this is true. He said he also wanted to take his time to make a commit just recently.

  7. I

Anyone concerned that all our commits are defense and non are offense? I wonder why we aren't landing any offensive guys at this point.

Nope. But if I had to guess its because we really need some playmakers to start early and make an impact. They offensive kids will come just give it time. It is only May but flashback to last year at this point and I was freaked out but we are leaps and bounds ahead of last year.

  8. good to see this kid some offers. he will be ours in the end high 3 star and maybe even a 4star when they evaluate him. Also will likely play in an all-star game from what Im hearing

He is not ours yet. I recall on a couple sure gets for the 2012 class that ended up leaving us in the dust. Great that he will play in an all star game kid deserves it.

  9. In My Opinion... Hosting a second Junior Day, in the summer is a must. We should have been doing this the past 3 years. A lot of kids can't make it up on a weekend cause it's just too far to travel and they have games/practice/meets/school. Plus if they're going to spend the money to fly up to NU, they'd like to get to spend some time there. Hosting a day in the summer allows kids to take their time getting to NU, spend time on campus, and really get to meet with the coaches. There are so many positives to hosting a summer 2nd Junior day. Even if we only get 4 or 5 kids up to campus it's worth it.

Exactly what I was thinking right now we have three and it is next month I would estimate about 8-15 kids will come.
