  1. Some buzz that Aaron Green is leaving Nebraska, not sure if this is set in stone, or even reliable information, but it certainly would be a shocker.

Here's a highly touted recruit who showed some flashes in limited usage as a true freshman, although he didn't shine. But by all accounts, he had a stellar spring, vaulting possibly to the #2 position at tailback, which in this offense means a very large role. One of the criticisms I think many had for his play as a freshman was he tended to try and rely on his athleticism too much - bouncing around to the outside to his detriment. Sounds like that area of his game was really shored up this spring, and he's been developing as an all-purpose feature back who can go between the tackles.

And of course, who can forget how exciting the possibilities were for catching balls out of the backfield? And not to mention the positive reports on his ball security, playing a large role in how much he (seemingly) secured the #2 position.

If Aaron truly is leaving, best wishes, wish you'd have chosen otherwise, and thanks for a positive year. This one would be harder to understand than most (as players usually leave for playing time / better shot / new beginnings), but I'm sure he has his personal, private reasons.

It also looks pretty official, unless Rivals has jumped the gun here: http://nebraska.riva...&fid=&tid=&mid=

:hmmph I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!

  2. Two things intrige me here. One, that we are possibly hosting a second junior day, and two, that some of these committed prospects would be visiting such as Elliot and Ramirez.

    Edit - I'm stupid, I didn't read "

    First JR day visitors:"

Haha. I dont know who is visiting would be nice to host Su'a and Mathis. Hopefully Su'a can see the campus before his decison so we can have a chance. Maybe we can keep doing this thing and it can be a beneficial recruting tool.

  7. Visiting Washington's junior days this weekend. USC is out of his top 5. OU & Bama are also suitors, but are behind Nebraska and Michigan. Nebraska leads slightly.

"I liked (Nebraska) at first but then I stopped liking them but after I visited them I was like 'Man, both of these schools are really nice,'" Mathis said.
"I like Nebraska a little bit more. I got to spend four days with the coaches. I spent a lot of time with the head coach and the defensive line coach. It was pretty big."

    ughhhh......

he's either very unintelligent, or very immature

Both? He seems kind of attracted to the media if anything.

  8. This is clearly an unsanctioned contest. Can't you see the title? It doesn't have the three ***asterisks*** Still, I'm a sucker for a contests, so here goes:

The nickname for Taylor Martinez should be Snuffleupagus. LINK

    IT'S HOT SAUCE DAMNIT!!

I beg your pardon. Snuffaluffagus beat out Hot Sauce by a 2-1 poll margin.

    Snuffaluffagus.jpg

Snuffaluffagus is a winner! sorry hot sauce!

  9. Very dissapointed and angered by the remarks of your football coach and his anti-gay homophobic remarks....This is

the Big 10...its 2012....This kind of blatant open discrimination and hatred is NOT what Big Ten Universities are all about.

Get rid of him..the sooner the better it negative PR will only mount and grow worse...

So what at least he stands up for what he belives in. And the B1G is not above anyone else.
