I think we offered early because they know hes likes Bama as well and hes from there, and they felt like the needed to offer him first and not mess around. The last few years i cant tell you how many kids have said...Nebraska was my first offer and i fell in love. I think being that first offer means alot to kids and it tends to stick in their heads. I believe we were Turners first offer for example. Im sure if Bama offers hes going, so i dont think that will happen here, just saying in general i think it means something to kids to be the first D1 offer.

Yes. He really likes Bama as I said in my previous post he is visting Bamas combine. Hopefully he doesnt get an offer.

I think he has the biggest upside because he would be a fantastic special teams player maybe a Hybrid SLB. Or if he can get to 240 he could be a LB.

Just thought of this, but you think Bo may have been talking about Minter as one of the silent commits?

I dont think he would be one of them. I think he is possibly really into the stardom and would announce it.

Based on what recruits have said and which ones have visited or have us as one of their best offers at the moment, I've made a list of possible silent commits below.

 

- Jerel Morrow (we are his best offer so far, close to home, really discovered his talent before anybody else big)

- DJ Foster (lives in Lincoln, originally from Bama I think... could have committed when he got his NU offer, like several in state kids do)

- Aaron Bailey (loved his visit, said we moved to the top for him, and Ohio State got their QB so they may not need him anymore)

- Joe Mathis (raved about his visit, said NU is at the top for him, he fits in well there and loves everything about the program, Michigan had been at the top but Nebraska pushed them to second. He did say he want's to take officials in the fall and wait to commit)

- Chans Cox (grandfather went to NU, dad is a big fan, he went to a game last year and loved his visit. We want him as a RB, most others are recruiting him as a LB. Could be a silent commit, but I don't think so cause he is still taking a lot of visits places and still racking in big offers)

- Jon Wiskieski (Iowa kid who has had an offer from us for a while. He hasn't gotten any big offers in a while. He could have silently committed somewhere)

- Drake Martinez (Taylor's brother. Has had an offer from us for a while and has been very quiet.)

- Mackensie Alexander (Loves Coach Joseph. Was a Tennessee commit and then de-committed when coach Joseph left. He said Nebraska was sitting really really well with him and hinted that they might be further ahead than people think. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy committed to NU just based on his relationship with coach Joseph. He's said a lot of things hinting about Nebraska.)

Foster is not a silent commit visting bamas combine next week. Alexander would be a fantastic get though. Wiskieski would be fine. None of these Would be silent commits in my opinion.

Just seeing what people had for opinions on who it is going to be, since bo said we have a few silent commits. I have to say probably aaron bailey first if not him maybe hannon or id like to lock morrow up! Go Skers!

Ill check Hannon for you I have a friend that goes there and he is friends with Hannon and Mike. He also said he would think Hannon would go to Nebraska because of Mike. I dont think it will be Morrow as he is just adding more and more offers and at least I wouldnt make a decision yet.

Way better then last years class. Could be another class of 2011? We will see I think its going to be just as good or better but it is way to early to tell.

Why do people have to be all stupid about this and ruin the polls. Start it over and count votes from FB.

What if DJ Foster (2014 recruit from Nebraska) is another silent commit. He would be apart of next years class, but he is a local kid who did get a Nebraska offer.

 

Other thing... the other silent commit could easily be Zach Hannon from Missouri. He's been to see Nebraska at least 2-3 times at this point and was in town for a practice just before the Saturday of the spring game. This makes complete sense that this guy could be a silent commit.

He is going to Bamas spring combine doubt it.

It could be Zack i have a friend that goes to rockhurst ill ask him about it. I think it could be Terrel Newby.

It always gets me upset when someone from Nebraska decommits but when they steal a commit it makes my day. Day in the life of a hardcore Nebraska fan.
