  1. To note on Gerry, one of my best friends is engaged to his sister. He said he wants to play for Nebraska, but we haven't offered yet. He wants to play WR, but thinks he might fit in better at safety.

I'd say Love and Mathis seem the most interested so far. Possibly Bailey.....anyone of those guys would be great.

If we get just one of them I will just be the happiest person ever.

To my former post Problem solved Love is N!

  3. Any news on what happened and who really impressed? I did see Nathan Gerry took home camp MVP.

Nothing really just a combine I watched it on Huskeronline.com. I did see DJ Foster a 2014 Nebraska instate kid who has an offer was there and is camping at Bama next week so he is very good. I also noticed a lot of the people there had Iowa offers which Iowa has a decent amount of influence in the state.

  4. It was always going to be USC, he would've walked on if he had to. He might take other visits, but it's just to enjoy the process.

Yeah So would that mean Mathis and Cravens wont be going to the same school after all? Mathis could wind up anywhere and I think Su'a goes to USC. God I hate USC.

  5. I'm well aware that Kimbrough and Brunson don't have offers at this time but it's only April so there is plenty of time for those two to receive one. I still believe that both of them are better prospects than Anzalone and Love.

Love may not be Nebraska's 1st choice either. We will take 3-4 this year. One of those could easily be a JUCO as we have a gap after the seniors graduate this year. We already have 1 great commit in Banderas... so we will take 2-3 more out of High School. We have a number of guys who could end up being those 2-3 guys. There's currently 12 guys besides Banderas who have offers and 9 of those are just as good if not better than Courtney Love. Does anyone know for sure if Courtney is one of our main 3-4 guys we want or if he's second on our list?

    Committed Linebackers:

Josh Banderas 5.8 :star :star :star :star Lincoln, NE

    Uncommitted Linebacker Prospects with Offers:

Chans Cox 6.0 :star :star :star :star Lakeside, AZ

Michael Hutchings 6.0 :star :star :star :star Concord, CA

Tim Kimbrough 5.9 :star :star :star :star Indianapolis, IN

Melvin Jones 5.8 :star :star :star :star Lake Charles, LA

Marcus Newby 5.8 :star :star :star :star North Potomac, MD

Darian Claiborne 5.7 :star :star :star Port Allen, LA

Cameron Judge 5.7 :star :star :star Westlake Village, CA

Walker Jones 5.7 :star :star :star Cordova, TN

Skai Moore 5.7 :star :star :star Fort Lauderdale, FL

Courtney Love 5.7 :star :star :star Youngstown, OH

Eric Beisel 5.6 :star :star :star Fenton, MO

George Williams 5.6 :star :star :star Hialeah, FL

Cox is being recruited to play offense and they only guys on that list I think we have a chance with are cox, beisel and love. Maybe Newby due to the connection with JP and I thought at the beginning of the cycle, Hutchings was fairly interesed in NU. Haven't heard much about that recently. I think where these guys are from may also plays a factor in who we accept commitments from. Being NU is trying to make its presence felt in ohio, if love wants to be N, the staff takes him.

Claiborne and Jones have some big intrest in NU as well. But even if we got one of them I think it would be DEBO 2.0.

  6. This situation really sucks. No parent or child should ever have to go through this. Prayers to the Hoffman family.

Agreed. What couldnt Osama Or Hitler or someone like that get a disease like this instead it just isnt fair. Huskers are rooting for you Jack.

  7. He is really fast and has good timing and patience. He would have a good amount of numbers if he had a good QB throw to him. I think he should be our #1 WR target and we need to get him.

Who you talking about? Statement applies to another team we all know so well!

    What?

Statement could be about our WRs and our QB.... Is what I meant.

I See. He has good patient routes and good timing to catch the ball.

  8. This and the Tannehill situation are products of the same NFL idiocy - measurables and numbers mean more than the eyeball test, actually watching how players performed and getting to know the people they are.

This. I don't understand why Tannehill has shot up everyone's draft boards.

Agreed I think he will be a bust in the NFL.

  9. New recruting pitch for Saban if you break the trophy we still wont kick you off the team. Its funny because there is going to be some kid that buys into it kind of like this: Duh I like football I can count to 3 1 2 3 I did it all by myself!.

  10. Nebraska has had a history of great defenses for as some great coaches have said defense wins championships. Nebraska has also had some fantastic offensive lines as well. So what would happen if they where to sqaure off in a history clash on the gridiron? Please include the years and some of the key players if you are going to comment.

(Hey its the offseason im bored and I want to watch football let the debate begin!)
