Are you freakin serious!? All we heard about after Callahan was fired was how he disrespected and cast out former players, removed all of the 90s memories off the walls, destroyed Husker Power, and on and on. He was toxic to everything Nebraska and him and Pederson were doing everything in their power to remake Nebraska in their image.
The one that sticks out to me: Callahan could have beat Auburn in the Cotton Bowl but wanted to be cute. NU had success running right at them. He was all about himself and not about the program.

My question is how much heart does this team actually have. I’d say very little. Add in very little talent, not a winning recipe.

I agree. That's why I'm saying firing Chins doesn't matter whether we did it now or later. That's exactly my point. I'm pushing back against this wave of joy in this thread like firing Chins accomplished something - it didn't. Example of what I'm talking about:
the guy blew dead tuna. I said he sucked when they hired him from day 1. You can lament the firing and push all you want. Stab at wind wills if it’s your thing. Me? The firing gives a little bit of hope of getting the program back to being competitive. Keeping him sure was not going to push the needle into playing winning defense.- 2

Did NU suddenly learn to block, tackle, and not do stupid things like pick up a partially blocked kicks? I bet against NU as long as Chin is a part of this team. I just hope for a good showing. I feel they will be boat raced and the whole MJ is the future conversation goes in the tank. (Hope I am wrong though).

Mickey stated plainly on Sports Nightly that we will see some schematic changes to the defense this week.
Best news I’ve heard in a long time.

Speaking of Players what are the chances of players hitting the Portal to save Eligibility only three games in so not at the four game rule?
If their on defense, I’ll help em pack.

Does anyone think the best way to handle this is to have a presser on Monday and annouce that the OU game will be Frost's last? Get the interest early and make the transition smooth. Maybe fire up or make the players crumble. Either way it is a good sign for the next coach to see who he should work on keeping and who to ask to leave
If you have a bird in hand for next year, yes. It better be a home run guy and not some jobber from pee wee tech.

Maybe that’s why Frost looks so unhappy

Defense should be rested….

Been saying this since he was hired. I hope the next guy attacks and mixes it up.

Matt Campbell.would be my choice. Offense built around talent and defense gets pressure. Would be an upgrade over the last two coaches.

If you get ahead Frost, onside kick it

Those who argued the DC was great last year and wanted him as the next HC…were wrong. Terribly wrong.

How could that be? I was told NU is doing great in this space? I mean we paid the guy who would’ve been Texas’ backup QB this year six figures- we gotta be doing something right!
Nebraska loses more games than wins…that’s how. Are you new here? Pay ‘‘em what you want but one has to win.

in fairness, you've never seen NIL before either.
Neither had the other teams and they are winning. Problem is internal.

I really was happy with NU naming Frost as coach but have times changed. I’ve never seen an exodus of talent like this. I’m betting under .500 again.

What did we learn: Indiana

I learned the B10 can find worse officials than usual. Quite the accomplishment.
