Maybe the staff has done enough recruiting for the year already and it's finally time to take it eeeeeasy. This recruiting stuff is hard.

Snippets from this song:
"While we're on the subject of changing team names, there's no jazz in Utah
and few lakes in LA.
Just this once give me the benefit of the doubt,
the Bullets became the Wizards, too violent? Get out!"
"Wouldn't it be offensive if we cheered
'rah rah rah' we're the Carolina negroes with a beat box cheer and a big foam afro,
the Minnesota Vikings became the New York Kikes with dollar bills on their helmets
cause thats what they're like ya know"
"What about the Saints, Angels and the Padres too ain't that the same thing for Christians thats offending you?
When there's a Jesus Christ mascot shooting crucifixes
they nailed to a cross dying to save the team,
you'll be right" -
St. John's Red Storm has to be offensive to women.
Not to mention the Crimson Tide.

I don't think it's a huge controversy, it's not like the members of the committee all have to be huge football geniuses with a bunch of insider info. They don't even need to rewatch game film 5 times and tell a message board how smart they are, or have to come from a naturally strong family. They just have to watch and know about football and make an opinion regarding who the best 4 teams are. I'm not a fan of Condi Rice but I'm sure she'll be fine. Hell, I could do it. So could you (any of you, probably).

It's so potent, even seeing it's name or knowing what it is will kill you dead on the spot.
We shouldn't even be talking about it! This thread is putting us all in mortal peril.

+31 now. God god. I would cry tears of joy if I ever got +31 for a post.
+1. You're on your way.
In fact, these latest posts are worth +infinity for finally derailing 4 silly pages regarding how SJB should tackle.

This makes me feel good. After the UCLA loss and audio-gate, it was an awkward time period.
I remember in 2007, we were putting together a pretty good class, but then the best recruits all started jumping ship when the wheels came off the Callahan bus. After UCLA and the peudo-scandals that followed this year, we haven't had any decommits, and now a little momentum is coming back. Kudos to the coaching staff for keeping things stable through the storm, and welcome to the newest recruit.

Sparty may have found their offense. We will need continued defensive improvement every week before I count that game as a win, unless Martinez plays. With either RGIII or Armstrong, that will be a very tough game to win.
I'm still counting Michigan at Ann Arbor as a loss. Maybe we'll pull off another win like we did at East Lansing last year, but until we play well on the road in a big game that isn't against a team days removed from the worst scandal in college football history, I'll be skeptical that we can win. We can win at Ann Arbor, I just wouldn't bet any money on it.
We still have major questions on defense, we still are without the services of our all-everything quarterback. Unless that changes, I don't see us as a major threat to take the Legends.
I have heard that all over the Big Ten network. I think they all need a jumping to conclusions mat since this found offense came against a team that is 101st overall in points allowed.
Not a statistician, but I think a larger sample is needed.
You must have missed all of the Tommy Armstrong discussions here the past few weeks.

I like the 11am games. With two preschool age kids, the game occurs during lunchtime and nap time, so I actually have a chance to enjoy the game, and when it is over, we still have the rest of the day in front of us to play and get other stuff done.

It's based off conference records.
But if NW wins out and NU, MSU, and Mich all beat up on each other, NW could sneak back in due to head-to-head records with in-division foes since their two losses now are from the other division. However, I really like NU's chances to get to the CCG.

HELLOOOOOOO WEEKEND
HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOO MONDAY
HELLLOOOOO COLUMBUS DAY
Should I feel bad that federal employees are still laid off but as a State employee I get a totally ridiculous paid "holiday" off? Also, I can't wait for Arbor Day to roll back around again.

Fighting the police usually turns out to be such a good decision, too. He was already cuffed, it probably seemed like a good idea to keep fighting. Gotta show 'em that Michigan fans are tough!

Good lord, an entire generation will have been born and in and out of college between the signing of the Tennesse contract and the date that the actual games will be played.
-
One thing is clear: Stanton is likely to be one of next year's most popular Huskers, and every interception or punt following an Armstrong-led drive next year will result in multiple threads calling for Armstrong's benching.

You dont know the rudimentary basics- tough having any type of meaningful dialogue
I love reading threads in which people can talk about schemes and strategies and components of the game that I don't know as much about. I don't know X's and O's very well, and it's enlightening to read some of this stuff on Huskerboard and actually learn something.
But when you keep throwing out the "I know more football than you" and "I watch more film than you" in so many threads and give a dismissal of "tough having any type of meaningful dialogue," you no longer come off as an intelligent student of the game, you come off as a condescending douchebag.

For some reason it warms my heart to see Gabbert all alone in the left-most column for QB suckitude.

If only we had a real quarterback to throw to them the past couple years...we coulda won state.
(before anyone gets bent out of shape, that was a joke. I like T-Mart.)

32 states plus D.C. I don't think I know anyone who has been to all 50, but that is something I've always wanted to do. Most of the states I haven't been to are in the northeast.
