Tony not looking so hot today.

My favorite was the 2002 Super Regional where Justin Seely hit a grand salami and sent us to the CWS!

We need a plan that gets us at least a three touchdown lead.....to beat the Big Ten refs.

Are they thinking of putting a robotic arm on Haarberg so he can throw better passes?

Unpopular Opinion maybe: Heinrich Haarberg is a division 3 level passer and Marcus SatterField called a good enough game to win. Heinrich missed tons of open Receivers this game. His field vision and awareness is terrible.
Popular Opinion: These refs sucked. Wtf
I don't think the refs suck. I think they cheat. Why in a bottom feeder game? i can't answer that.

I didn’t learn much. It’s hard to watch when every play is full of penalties that they may or may not call. The offense was as bad as ever and every bounce went their way today. We needed something from special teams and defense today but didn’t get it. The running game still blows chunks. I think the Big Ten cheats regularly and never liked being in it. I don’t think that will ever change.

I'm not one to blame refs and Nebraska deserves the L but these guys shouldn't ref again
They did exactly what the Big office told them…. Let them hold receivers every play and maybe we’ll call it.
-
That’s great that the Big Ten made it look good after all the cheating. If it was up to me we’d go back to the Big 12 and tell them to keep their money.
-
Obviously the Big Ten refs cheat.

Still time for Crouch to score 6 times.

Wow, three quarters gone and we finally call a rush on Roger Staubach.
-
Wow, MSU is playing the game of the century. Figures

Harby needs to protect himself from grabby Big Ten players.
-
I hope Harby does a better job finding the open guy and getting it there with the right lead and touch.
Other than that, just hold onto the ball….you know they’ll be grabby as hell.

Somebody tell the coaches that Michigan State is a typical BIG TEN team;…. they’re gonna be reaching around and grabbing at our guys stuff every chance they get.
Usually that’s how you make sure you are never allowed back to your job, like when Andy “Nard Dog” Bernard left Dunder Mifflin.
Our guys need to be prepared for that.

I love the passion but I think your rose-tinted glasses are working a little too well today.
Purdue defenders were doing what they should've been doing. On Haarberg's first fumble, as a defender, if you get an offensive player stuffed up and he's still standing, you rip at that ball like your life depends upon it. Doesn't matter if he's "close" to being down. You play until the whistle blows with zero exceptions because sometimes you're going to get one that goes your way. And as the game goes on and a team gets more desperate, you'll start to see more aggression to strip the ball. NU's players would do the same thing, and have in the past.
There were a lot of things Purdue players did yesterday that I thought were unsportsmanlike, but this wasn't really one of them.Sure seemed like that one guy was adept at pulling guys on top of him then reaching around to grab his stuff. That’s assault brotha! Harby was probably shocked. Had that been me I would’ve dropped the ball too. He gets a pass on that fumble!

Are you saying it's bad to try and rip the ball out from an opposing player? That NFL players would agree with that statement? Do you hear yourself?
They were doing that the whole game. They couldn’t play so they started grabbing at them when they were down. It was a bad look.

I'm gonna keep bringing up Woche and Longval since I got laughed at for suggesting we give Haarberg a shot. I guess you could say I'm holding a grudge. I'd give Purdy a shot but it seems like he checked out and is moving on.
The first Haarberg fumble he was almost down and the defender was grabbing at him like an angry B. Most self-respecting guys don't act like a bush leaguer in public....like when Prince and the Revolution was setting those fruity picks... players don't want to be seen with their hands down there. NFL players would frown on that. I think Harby and the guys also struggled with the cold some when it came to ball handling.- 3

I wonder how well Woche and Longval know the playbook? Way back in the day we used to go 30 points ahead and get to see some of the backups in the 4th quarter. It looks from the highlights that they both passed quite a bit in high school but I guess from not knowing anything about them that I'd start out giving the ball to Woche due to Longval's knee injury since our QB is required to run for his life much of the time. I wonder if a local reporter has an accurate take on these guys?

At this point I'm not blaming the offensive coaches for anything but going after Jeff Sims and not keeping Cody Thompson.
Or Casey Thompson...he was good too.

What I learned that I didn't already know is that the rest of the teams on the schedule are not the world beaters they were made out to be.

I bet Luke Reimer would be like Jeff Makovicka at fullback.
