I fail to see how my statement is false.  Just because he had investors in his venture?  Because he bought a company and pretty much totally changed the business model to what he envisioned which grew that company from what you mentioned here to one worth billions of dollars....Oh...BTW....while doing it with fairly liberal policies.

I fail to see how my original statement of a billionaire being out of touch with today's middle class is false but you claimed it was.

Just because Schultz grew up in the projects and started a business "from scratch" in the 70's and 80's literally has zero to do with if he understands what is affecting the middle class today.

Yes, he worked for Starbucks.  At the time, it only bought and sold whole bean coffee.  He had the idea to start brewing coffee and espresso in the stores.  Starbucks owners said no, so he left, found some investors and started a company called Il Giornale.  He grew that company to the point where he then purchased Starbucks and rolled the companies together...kept the Starbucks name.

So...yes....he started his company from scratch.

You're right.  He started Il Giornale on his own.  He took in investors for a coffee shop.  One of those investors was the owner of Starbucks.

But he didn't "grow" his company.  It was still one shop.  1 year after opening his shop, the Starbucks owners wanted to sell for $3.8M.  They gave him first crack.  He took investors, again, for about $1.9M.  Then Bill Gates Sr pretty much chipped in the rest.

He was a good investment and salesman.  No doubt.

The only people we see today having violent protests and death threats against speakers- seem to be from the left and on college campuses against conservatives like Ben Shapiro and Laura Ingraham. Almost all of those speakers being banned or threatened seem to be conservatives. Very shameful anti american stuff.

Have you not read the story of the Coast Guard member with the hit list?

Really???  He grew up in projects in NYC.  He started his company from the ground up.  He also has expressed openly that people that make as much as he does should be paying more in taxes.

He didn't start Starbucks from the ground up.  It was already a company and he joined them as Director of Marketing.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Schultz

"In 1981, Schultz visited a client of Hammarplast, a fledgling coffee-bean shop called Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle, curious as to why it ordered so many plastic cone filters.[12] He was impressed with the company's knowledge of coffee and kept in contact over the next year, expressing interest in working with them. A year later, he joined Starbucks as the Director of Marketing."

Also, he says he favors rich people paying more in taxes but has dismissed both Warrens and AOC's proposals and has no plan of his own so far.

Donald Trump was quoted in 2016 “I am willing to pay more, and you know what, the wealthy are willing to pay more.”  And we know how that turned out with his tax bill.

Either way, I don't see where any of what you said indicates that he understands the issues facing the majority of people today.

  5. I think the disdain people have for Schultz and others is that they have a very different view of what America is like compared to the vast majority of the public.

Trump, for instance, thought his highest ranking generals made $5M/year (It's around $180-$200K)

Schultz has no idea what food in a grocery store costs.

I'm not saying that makes them bad.  It just makes them appear to be unaware of what the middle class is.  So there is going to be apprehension of trust, disdain, etc

I've frankly never understood the point of wash cloths. Even bar soap lathers fine. Seems weird to put it on cloth then on your body. I just lather it in my hands and rub it all over myself (© Out of Context Quotes).

Anyhow, to answer the OP, I would say 10 towels max for 2 people.

4 bath towels, 4 hand towels for 2 bathrooms, 2 hand towels for the kitchen. We normally just use 5.

Growing up we used a different towel every single time we bathed or showered. So with 4 people that was 28 towels per week. My mom was doing it wrong. Same thing with jeans. New pair every day.

I suppose maybe the washcloth was used for exfoliating the skin as it’s cleaning you with soap?

This is a good summary, Thanks. As for the part I bolted, where have you found this information? That is new info to me. How do we know Mo wanted a sexual relationship with her now and then got mad? I know you said it was her and the police report words but where is that from?

BTW, I still am having trouble believing her. Sure she could’ve felt ashamed and not made the sexual assault charges sooner but I find it highly unlikely given all the other evidence, especially with a lack of any assault charges.  It just seems extremely convenient now to make that allegation.

The only reason I even ventured down this road is because I felt some people were jumping the gun on how heinous Mo’s supposed actions were, without hardly any evidence or facts. I know I run the risk of being labeled some kind of monster for doubting the character and voracity of a sexual assault victim. But false claims and charges by “victims” is extremely damaging to the efforts of actual victims. Much worse IMO than anything Mo has been accused of. Considering I really don’t know jack squat about it, I may have picked a bad hill to die on but I’ll still give Mo the benefit of the doubt until the facts suggest otherwise. Not because he’s a football player but because I don’t think the facts yet warrant many of the things that were said about him.

The bolded was from one of the articles posted a few pages back.  That’s all I can tell you.  I don’t remember which one.

Hoiberg played for the Wolves and everything I have heard is they fired Thibs for Fred.

Hoiberg will be the next wolves coach if he wants the job.

I wish they would have kept Thibs and made roster adjustments to fit his coaching.

I don't think Dirk said anything profound either.

But one time I heard Dirk say that if you touch a hot oven your hand will get burnt. I agree with that for sure. 100%.

Am I not allowed to say that I agree with someone even if it is an obvious statement?  Is that what you're going for?

Not hiring a good coach will make it 'x' amount of years longer until your program is better?

    Wow. Insightful.

Ffs, I didn't say Dirk said anything profound.  Just that I agreed with him that anything less than a major, major hire would set us back further.
