What regulations that are in place are so weak that companies like Tyson just blow them off and chalk up any fines to the cost of doing business.  Imagine the green light given to industries when the EPA is completely neutered under another Trump regime.

I don't know of any regulations that would have prevented this.  But, companies that allow this need to have major consequences.  There are lots or people who think those rules shouldn't exist or be greatly reduced.  There are people who think the EPA should be disbanded because they are horrible and we don't need them.

I'm showing an example of where these laws and the EPA is needed.

My thoughts exactly. We were -17 (#129) in turnover margin. I don't expect to magically vault into positive territory this season. But if we can get it down to a single digit deficit it will go a long ways in getting to six wins and having a successful season. And the defense needs to do a better job too. 14 takeaways sounds OK until you realize we were tied at #103. Top teams are in the high 20's.

That was my next question.  What has our defense done?  They were decent last year overall.  But, they have room for improvement in getting turnovers.

For us to actually be one of the top 25 teams in the country, there'd be a huge assumption that we've pretty much completely ditched the problem with turnovers & false starts in one offseason.

I find it really hard to believe that will be the case, but hopefully we at least put a big dent in the problem.

Turnovers is one area that can take a huge jump in one direction in one year.  It's frustrating that it's been a problem for Nebraska for so long.  But, we have a coaching staff in their second year.  Their first year, the turnovers were mostly from the QB position.  This year, we are going to have a completely different QB situation.

Can I guarantee it's going to improve? No.  But, there's a lot of potential for it to changing.  This staff knows what needed to change.  They made one bad guess on a transfer QB that ended up being the extreme mirror image of what the Nebraska QB position has been for so long.  It was a kick in the nuts.  Then he gets hurt and a guy tried really hard to fill in, but couldn't succeed.  I respect the hell out of what HE did last year.  He's original QB1 from last year is gone.  We have two freshman QBs that have great potential to be nowhere close to the turnover machine he was.

We have potential to see a big improvement in turnovers this year.

Ugh.. and I live downstream. Guess it's even more money spent on bottled water for a while. No heavy metals though so with all this rain it'll be in KC in no time. :P

    Just added flavoring.

These protestors have already ruined in person learning and graduation ceremonies at some schools. Now professors want to hurt kids that have nothing to do with these protests. Maybe some of these students need those grades to graduate this month. I would just fire them.

The semester is almost over, some schools are online. Just empty the campus so the protestors have no one to bother. The media should ignore them, like a little kid throwing a tantrum.

Looks like a major lawsuit that some lawyer would love to take up against the professors.

And, maybe the school should sue them for all the pay they earned this semester.

If you go to the Middle East, Russia, North Korea, China, or above its hard for me to feel bad for you if something happens to you. You should’ve known better.

ESPECIALLY with the high tensions right now with Russia.

    The guy is an idiot.

Now....I guess our government should do something to try to get him home like they do with everyone in this situation.  But....I don't feel one bit sorry for him.

And...the reporter that's there should come WAY before this idiot.

    When you've lost Newsmax...

NEWSMAX HOST ROB FINNERTY: If you asked me a month ago who's at the top of the list to run with Donald Trump, I would've said your name. If you asked me that same question this morning, I don't even think you're on the list.

NOEM: Really? And why is that?

FINNERTY: It's because of things that came out in this book, like your claims that you met Kim Jong Un.

NOEM: I've been to the DMZ.

FINNERTY: Governor, that never happened, did it?

NOEM: What I have said in the book is that when I became aware of the content, we had it changed. I should not have put that anecdote in the book. I am not going to talk about my meetings.

Wait till he figures out all the other stuff the Republican party and Trump have told him is a lie.

  8. Let's just let this sink in a bit.  The leading candidate for the party that claims Christianity as their guiding light.....is thinking about his DAUGHTER while having sex with a porn star.....and evangelicals claim he was sent by God to save our country.

They also need to stop seeming so "pro" everything that a lot folks don't relate to.  For example, Instead of going out of their way to show support for LGBTQ, rebrand it as supporting individual rights to exist and be happy as long as they aren't hurting people.  It's also okay to recognize that Christianity is the prominent religion in the USA and Dems need to be okay being vocal about how their religion shapes their philosophies.  Stop letting the GOP from being the only party that hijacks religion.  It also sounds stupid,  but it would also be helpful if Dems very publicly stated that they are strongly against "abortion after birth!!!!"....They need to realize critical thinking is a struggle for most folks and they need to stop counting on people to be able to do it...

OMG...this could be a game changer for them.  If they would actually open up about this and how Christianity fits well with their policies......

But....they have totally forfeited Christianity to Republicans...forwich, Republicans than took that and bastardized the religion to their political views.

I don't think they're saying how or if this change might affect walk on's. Hopefully it won't and yes @BigRedBuster I agree, if the roster limitations don't get implemented this would negatively affect balance. I just can't imagine them doing only the scholarship change and not the roster limitations.

Well...we are talking about the NCAA here.

My 94 year old dad thinks she's great.  But then again, he thinks the election was stolen too.

Yeah...SD seems like similar to Nebraska in that, as long as there's an R behind their name, they are most awesomest politician on the planet.

I always thought Elizabeth Vargas was a good reporter.  She still is.  At one time I thought Noem was a good rep in Congress.  I was mistaken.  I guess her book was all about making her look tough.  She is beginning to look more like her mentor Trump -  a clown.

Like many Republicans, at one time, she may have been a good Representative.  However, to be a player in the Trump Party, you have to bend the knee to the Dear Leader and become more and more like him.  This is why the sickness of Trumpism, is a party issue and not just a few wackos.

Hmm .. yes the roster size would be reduced from 40 to 32 but the talent level will likely improve. It also spreads the talent out across the entire sport and with NIL money offerings it very well may result in more 4 & 5 year players as the college experience offers many comforts not offered in the minors. Top players earning more from NIL will keep them in college. This results in less turnover and better competition, yes?

I think the only way this spreads out talent is if the roster limitations actually get implemented.  If they get the unlimited scholarships, without the roster limitations, it's very bad college sports.

And, it will be interesting to see how this affects football.  Where will they put the roster limitation?  100?  If so, that would be huge.
