  1. This guy is turning out to be the biggest pick up. Not in recruiting but X's and O's. He's like a second Callahan.
  2. If this is his first game, anyone have statistics?? Quotes, link??
  3. How? Who? What? I don't give a crap. Dyches is the key word here.
  4. "In an era of manufactered stars...(Dave Mathews) acquired his fans the old fashion way, he earned their devotion, night after night on the road, putting on great shows and letting word of mouth take care of the rest." -Announcer introducing Dave Mathews at a Johnny Cash triubute show. I share similar thoughts as Red Country, I have been to about a dozen shows including 2 at Giant Stadium, 1 at Soldier Field, and a half dozen near Kansas City. I even took a road trip to Des Moines to see "Trippin Billies," a DMB tribute band to get my "Jimi Thing" fix. My trip to the Windy City was one of the greatest times of my life. A Dave concert is a revolution, an epiphany multiplied times over. Whether you’re old or young, white or black, sober or drunk, high or trippin', Dave and his mates can soothe your soul with their divergent, flexible styles. Whether it be the laser sharp shreds of Boyd Tinsley’s unique violin play in “Warehouse,” “Two Step,” and “Crush.” The dynamic slap of Stefan Lessard on his cool bass in an original version of “All Along the Watchtower.” The controlled violence that hits you in the depths of your belly when Carter Beauford’s 28-piece drum set revs up with “Halloween.” Or the beauty that can tingle your heart with the tap of his high hat in a soothing version of “Lover Lay Down.” With an extensive jazz and rock background, LeRoi Moore screams and squeals in one and then sings you a lullaby in another with his unorthodox sax and clarinet notes. He can jam for hours and hours and then a many more. Just check out and then “Drive in Drive Out,” and “Proudest Monkey.” And of course there’s that voice. Not big, nor extremely fluid, but rather the perfect fit. Like a small child, innocent and developing in “One Sweet World,” “Satellite,” and “Recently” He let’s fly in classics, “Grey Street” “Bartender,” and a live version of “Crash.” The music moves you, like Stefan said, “The music I listen to needs to stimulate my mind, nod my head, move my feet, or shake my hips, if it doesn’t we don’t get along.” I get along with Dave. Those with small children know you can have the worst day of your life but when you come home your little boy or girl will give you a big hug as soon as you walk in and then everything seems all right. Dido with Dave. Put on any CD, grab a beer and jam on your couch. It’s heaven on Earth. In 5, 10, 20, 30 years from now, Dave, the Band and his fans will look back and be able to smile at the run they had. All bands pass, and sooner or later DMB will too. When?? Who knows? Every album produces more fans and keeps the old. They fill stadiums!!! But when they do, everyone in the family will be able to say, “You know what, at one time, we were the best band in America.” In a recent issue of Rolling Stones, Dave Mathews said, “I have to admit were badass.” Yes Dave Mathews, the Band, is Badass.
  5. Okay there's a huge problem with that pic because you actually know where to find it.
  6. Interestingly they are both from the same high school in Texas, Beamont I believe
  7. Wallace Franklin out of Texas, a 6'3" wideout has commit to NU He runs a 4.39 according to Rivals. Nu wsa the first to offer and that's what hooked him. He is considered the #62 ranked WR in the country. Cavin Mickes a DB/WR has also commit to the Huskers. He's 6'2" and can also run. A&M had also offered him.
  8. By the way, if anyone is curious, Marlon Lucky who will be visiting on Sept. 3, is now considered the #1 Running back in the country by Rivals.

Bull crap dickes, you sell them for what you can get for them. $100 if you can
  10. Dude if anyone finds that they better get a picture of it on this site and how to purchase them.
  11. People keep thinking the hUskers will get back to the top when the offense comes around, but you really need that combination between the offense and defense. Could be next year and then not again for another 10.
  12. Couldn't agree more...I think it's just got to be they think they will never get caught.
  13. Hey "some devil" was crap, but Dave was one of the bands who doesn't care if you bootleg his music. So you didn't have buy it.
  14. For all his talking and shoutin' about how freakin' good he is or suppose to be, he hasn't done a damn thing. Oh wait he has 1 sack last year. ONE FRIGGIN SACK!?!?!?!?!?!?! I couldn't be happier that he is ridin the pines right now. He's a god damn waste, a bum. Hopefully he sits the whole year and plays special teams. Maybe he things somebody owes him something. Screw him.
  15. I've done a few seasons all ready and I'm easily bagging the top classes every year. Anyone else having this type of success.
  16. Recruiting analysis Jeremy Crabtree likes what he's seen in Callahan, "You have to think Nebraska's in line for a top-15 class,"Crabtree said. "They've done a masterful job of being aggressive nationally. They've worked their butts off to get kids interested in Nebraska who should be interested in Nebraska." Now as someone else has said, let's hope he's not another Mack Brown.
  17. Nebraska got there third 4 star recruit and as I said there could be more on the way with the a big recruiting weekend on Sept. 3/4. Rodney Picou, an offensive lineman out of Moreno Valley, Calif., commit he's an offensive guard that plays in an option offense. Rivals100.com ranks Picou (pronouced PEE-koo) as the nation's No. 3 guard and the No. 86 prospect overall. Three of the state's top players are scheduled to visit Lincoln Sept. 3 and 4 for Nebraska's opener against Western Illinois. Among them, running back Marlon Lucky of North Hollywood ranks No. 3 nationally at his position and tops among all California prospects. Inside linebacker Rey Maualuga of Eureka is rated as the nation's No. 1 inside linebacker, and Averell Spicer of Rancho Cucamonga is No. 1 at defensive end.
  18. The things seem according to this board and others W. Illinois is going to be a tough ticket. But of course as we all know $$$ talks. So. Miss game is a much better bet. If you got balls of steel look to purchase tickets anywhere from a half hour before the game up to kickoff and you shouldn't have a problem. Keep walking around the stadium with two fingers up.
  19. Is anyone else a friggin junkie like me. I got the game a week after it came out and haven't stop playing it yet. I'm a little dumb when it comes to codes. Does anyone have codes to unlock teams or anything for that matter?
  20. I was checking out a few sites and the first game against W. Illinois will be a big recruiting weekend all ready. And why not? You know the stadium will be packed and hoppin. Louder than ever. There are some nice recruits coming in, including some big names. Marlon Lucky a RB from N. Hollywood,CA is in the first week. He is a five star guy that has offers from everyone. Two big time receivers will always be in town the same weekend. One is a shorter speed type guy the other is a lanky, stretch the field player. Both are from Cally. There is also an offensive tackle, a huge recruiting year for that position, also from Cally, Russell Tialavea wil be here 9/3. One guy I know Nebraska wants bad, along with everyone else, is Dan Doering from Illinois. He should be setting up a visit soon. He is one of the best in the country. Ranked #1 at OT. I belive it will come down to Iowa and Nebraska when all said and done. ANybody else have info? B)
  21. This guy is from Maryland, he was home schooled which is what I think caused the delay. But if NU does not sign another player this year, they will have 5 scholorships to offer next. Surprisingly they have all ready received a commitment, from the birth place of the modern point guard, from a player in Brooklyn, NY. http://www.journalstar.com/articles/2004/0...ts/10053303.txt
  22. I have had the chance to hear a couple of the NU coaches speak a few times over the summer. I recent heard them at the annual coaches clinic at NorthStar H.S. in Lincoln about a week ago. Coach Callahan spoke and then the sat and listened to the offensive coaches speak. At the end there was a question and answer type thing. One interesting question arose from the discussion that was directed toward recruiting coordinator Scott Downing who was on both staffs. The question centered around different recruiting strategies. "Why does NU seem to be getting more high profile athlete looking to Lincoln?" This is what I got from it. It appears as though Nebraska has taken a more direct approach with more attitutde. They simply won't back down to any other school. They feel they can get any player in the country. They are more aggressive. No more "nice guy" routine. Where a player says I think I'm leaning toward another school in the past NU said "ok have a good career." That wont happen anymore. Which of course begs the question, why haven't we always done this. It will always route itself back to the head coach. Norvell is very important to the NU roster. Ican tell why Callahan waited for him. He got pretty personal when speaking about the Raiders and there managment. Norvell will be up in the press box. His job primarily will be to spot the ball for Callahan and give some suggestions, but Callahan does the bulk of the play calling. Has anyone else heard these coaches?? Any impressions so far? Even if you haven't heard what do you expect?
