  1. There are some great football minds on this Forum and reading these comments and just looking at some the analysis, I can actually "feel" myself getting smarter!!! Even more so than when I sleep with an Encyclopedia under my pillow! Which, trust me, is saying a lot! Welp, on my way to the chiropractor again...got this crazy crick in my neck. See ya!
  2. Nonsense. I have it on good authority that it's always the coach's fault. Of course, I'm sure they didn't coach them to line up well enough. And this is why this process that has involved Coach Power'T and some others here has been such an eye opener!!! I am speaking to the process of taking the game film, trimming it down and analyzing Exactly what is going on, on the field and seperating that from what is going on in my (and maybe yours too) head! Because let's be honest, when you let the game set for a day or two, you see it differently...am I right? And if you're like me, you see it MMMUUUCCCHHHHHH different after a day or two. I too have been making these snap judgments during games and/or shortly after and for what?!?! What is the logical explanation for being so cynical/critical during the game and shortly after on Social Media and Forums across the Cornhusker Landscape??? Honestly, I gotta say, it's -------> Emotion. When I watch the Huskers play, I get fired up and I have this vision of how good I want my team to be, how good I think they should be NOW, how good I think they will be and a complete blindness to the fact that they are in a (should I dare say it???) process! *Insert Pelini's voice here* "I see some good things out there, some things not so good", but...and I am not exagerrating here, the more I trimmed this game film down, the more I saw the excellent play of the team as a whole. Seriously! Were there some mistakes made? Yes we are not dumb. Were there some missed tackles? Of course! Was there some EXCELLENT play on both sides of the ball that your naked eye missed during live action? You betch yer eyesight there was! What perhaps impressed me the most, and I've said this somewhere on this thread, is that visualizing the offensive/defensive minds that have drawn up this plays (and not at random) and placed them into a comlete package is astounding!!!
  3. This is top notch analysis IMO. Bravo!!! This is great for those of us that want to be students of the game, learn more visually about the defensive/offensive minds behind the methods we see on the field and (my personal favorite) identifying who is performing NOW and who is showing positional improvement week-in and week-out. I would like to continue to trim the film, if we have any one else out there with related technical experience, maybe we could do something semi-organized...it's up to you guys. If this is working well and you don't want to fix something that's not broke, I'll do my best to keep posting the trimmed version and you can do what you will with it. I hope to get faster at trimming it down so I can get it out by Tuesday or by some miracle Monday Night. Everybody is busy though! Our high school season is over after tomorrow night so I will have more free time to watch film on Nebraska. I'm actually excited. I'll be watching more film today looking for some more things that did well, and things we didn't do so well (head scratchers). I have actually been working on the first half of this game and I'm almost done. Not saying I know what I'm talking about or good at analysis, but this will be my first attempt at it. It will not be the quality that you provided, however, it has been fun but it takes SOOO much time.

  5. I did it again this week. I would should have uploaded this a day ago, but I was trying to be fancy, so I said forget it and I just uploaded this. It's trimmed down the best I could do. I hope that it helps some of you with your analysis and game study.
  6. Let me try again here. I fixed her up a bit flipped her right side up.
  7. My wife stole my new hoodie...don't suppose I'll be getting it back anytime soon...
  8. I start fast...but I finish real strong...if you know what I mean (Actually, most of that is not true) Bwahahahaha!
  9. It could be argued that less than half of those things have been happening all year to the degree that I intended to highlight here. My intention here was to point out a noticeable shift toward the right direction and yes a positive/encouraging shift. You may not agree with my analysis and that's ok. Which of them have not been happening all year? The biggest thing is that I think both of us agree we are building into being a very good football team this year. Definitely

  11. Is it just me or did Tommy Armstrong come leaps bounds in terms of game management, leadership and decision making against a very gritty team? Is it just me or did Tim Beck try to stretch the defense vertically down field more than normal (with success I might add)? Is it just me or was AA solid as always? Is it just me or does Pierson-El give the defense just enough to think about in order to take some heat off our other role players on offense while being much more than JUST a decoy? Is it just me or has the defense really started to establish an identity and gel halfway through the season? Is it just me or did the second half offensive line make the first half offensive line take a walk, thus forcing the coaches to make some serious changes? Is it just me or do we always come out of the gate slow and flat, gradually picking up speed, rarely finishing poorly?
  12. Kenny B was a little off tonight. I liked his over all effort and his blocking down field as always. Would like to have seen Westercamp get a couple more touches in front of the home crowd. Tommy A had a great game! His vision was much much better this game. He is growing and that is scary for our offense.
  13. Great game by our boys, not perfect by any means...but we are coming along little by little.
  14. It's the kind of Kool-aid that kicks in after about two quarters of football.
  15. Woot woot!!! I would love nothing more than the Huskers win, and a big cup of "I told you so!" from you
  16. Off topic but the roulette thing is not really that black and red...the odds of 18 straight reds is a long shot...so yes every spin is an equal red/black percentage but odds do change with each subsequent spin. So history shows Bo will drop a game as the favorite...heck most teams lose a game they are favored in every season...I don't knwo how this team will respond. Will we try to out muscle them like we did with MSU or will we actually gameplan and exploit NW's weaknesses... Red and black aren't 50/50 bets. I stand corrected...I forgot about 0/00 bets. Not a betting man...you can see why. Albert Einstein said the only way to win consistently at roulette is to steal chips from the croupier when he's not looking. My bet is on Nebraska for the record.
  17. If I offended anyone with my stance on this thread, plz remember it was the Kool-aid talking and I can't be held liable for any of outbursts for the next 24 hours.
  18. I don't suggest you play roulette my boy. Past events are not indicative of future results. If the ball falls on red 18 times in a row, what are the odds you will hit black this time? Still 50/50 'm I right or 'm I right??? You know, I feel bad for you just a wee bit. Your glass is half empty... I understand. You came, you saw the optimism spreading like wildfire. You thought you were throwing around some realism and you were actually overcome with pessimism. It's no big deal...just next time, I would keep that crap to yourself or at least change up your delivery. Not telling you what to do, just a suggestion. Can I engage you in a little wager? I would like your permission to say "I told you so" because as I said at the beginning of this thread, I would rather be one the ones saying "I told you" on the side of a husker win rather than on a loss. I am not superstitious, but I got a feeling... I could just have gas, but I really believe we are on the verge here. Enjoy the game. I'll have you on the back of my mind and praying that your foot makes it into your mouth by the end of the game. Start stretching!
  19. Is this guy for real? Why are you here? Not even a "Well, through my extensive expert analysis, I give Northwestern the edge in this one" he just goes full on "Northwestern will win" bull crap. Who in heck are you? Go somewhere man. Put on some purple my boy and go stand on Northwesterns sideline cause you are not worthy to wear Red.
  20. That's what I am believin'. I believe we can and I believe we will.
  21. I decided to make another thread for this and I might be crazy but... I am confident (plz don't ask me why...I just have a feeling) that Tommy is going to come into his own as the season wears on. I think that game came at the best time and we got our clocks cleaned at just the right time and the bye came at just the right time. Everything is just ripe for picking. The timing is right, the fan base is slowly starting to want to believe and the momentum is teetering just enough where tommorow will lite a fire under EVERYONE AFTER WE DESTROY NORTHWESTERN! *Can I get one more cup of that delicious Kool-Aid plz* Plz don't say we'll see, that's not faith. Have faith in this Team. Have faith in this program. Have faith in these coaches. If you wait till the boat leaves the dock (so to speak) you are just like a bandwagon jumper, are you not? Have faith and believe in our guys before the first snap. If you don't believe right now, make it happen before 6:30pm tomorrow. Who's with me here? I may have a massive Cherry Red mustache right now, but I'm dead serious here. I would rather be a "told you so" on the side of a Husker MASSIVE win, than a "I told you so" on an epic Cornhusker fail. You choose how you want to look at it. Husker Pride forever... I'm out!
  22. so tommy needs to play perfectly and the rest of the offense can struggle? seems a little unfair. Why Do I feel like you are my personal nit picker? We already know how amazing A double is. If we are gonna win out its going to take some serious play at QB I agree with you here. I think Tommy could have taken some pressure off AA and the OL could have taken some pressure off Tommy and here we go I am confident (plz don't ask me why...I just have a feeling) that Tommy is going to come into his own as the season wears on. I think that game came at the best time and we got our clocks cleaned at just the right time and the bye came at just the right time. Everything is just ripe for picking. 23. At the end? When he placed the ball right where the cutting receiver would have been had he not ran into the other receiver? This is exactly what I am talking about. If you watched it, watch it again and then rewatch it. It was a "RUB ROUTE"!!! The receivers were suppose to "RUB" off the defenders and one was going to be wide open!!! The corner gets hammered because he gets in the way of the route. If this is 5 minutes into the game what's the call? You can not impede the progress of a reciever down the field past 5 yards. It should be a flag, but because they refs try to stay out of it at the end, we lost.actually I think the defender had the right to his own space, if he isn't moving or pushing or grabbing and the we runs into him it's not dpi I actually think you are right on this one. It is close though. Again the beginning of the game this type of thing could go either way, but at the end of the game you are not going to get this call no matter what.
  24. The Quarterback makes the throw just as the reciever is making their cut. The throw was timed properly. I think they wanted the corner on the right hip of the slot reciever.
