  1. Regardless of who is at QB, even though I am on the TA side, our offense should be able to put up more on Minnesota than just 23 points. We have the line, the run game, and the weapons on the outside that it shouldn't matter if Fyfe or Martinez is playing. The play calling was atrocious and Martinez has no presence in the pocket and locks onto one receiver that it essentially ruins our passing game. The tenacity of our offense was just not there today, whether it was due to the play calling or the quarterback, I don't really care just get it fixed because we are Nebraska and we do not lose to Minnesota regardless of the circumstances.

In Nebraska offense, the QB has options to every play that comes on the field. TM played in 4 games and our offense has looked ugly. Even though Tommy or Ron at times did not look great, our team plays better. The facts are there!

  2. Kenny can shove it in my opinion. It's hard to decipher the players who actually want to play for 4 quarters. Boom Roasted. Roasting so hard right now.

It's remarks like this make wonder what's in your Kool-aide!

    A turd.

    Ha! Ha!

I just do not like fans how negatively tweet players & recruits. It does not show much class!

I don't tweet them, I'm mad at what I saw today and huskerboard is my outlet. I'm mad that our players and coaches made Minny look like the far superior team. I would never attack a player or coach, its just nice to bitch and moan on here after watching an embarrassing performance, which is more regular than celebrating.

Sorry, I was just explaining my opinion of the original post which was from a tweet from Kenny! He is kid that is frustrated over the loss and my guess some negative tweets.

  3. One. why do you put an exclamation point in every one of your posts?

Two. He ran the spread option pretty well and his "choice of(wat?)" was pretty good today.

I just don't see how people can continue placing blame on this kid when there were 5 drops, and the line was horrendous in pass pro. Long made an impact and without him there,no matter who is qb, we'll struggle in passing against good DTs. Our defense is why we lost today, not Taylor, not the Offense, not the T.O.P. None of it. Just Bo's read and react defense with an untalented guy like Randle at the forefront (or should I say backfront because he was 5 yards away from the line so much).

Bo Knows... How to lose games he shouldn't and get blown out in ones he should contend in. No team that has faith in their coach or that has a sound defensive scheme, allows you to have a 21-3 lead at half and lose 42-21. (UCLA)

    1. I like "!"

    2. He is lucky that we did not have a turnover on the pitch that went out of bounds!

    3. Most of his drops were high & behind the receiver! They can not always make one hand catches!

    4. He is a not a good fit for our current offense and he has had very little improvement!

    4. I will agree we have some Sr. who that should not be starting like Randall & Ankra!

    Sorry. I can not count!

  5. ^^ To add to that, I do however believe that we would have been more effective with the speed option had TA been playing. But that is the only area.

Really? I thought he made the correct read each time and the fumble out of bounds was due to a facemask... the read guy jumped TM each time so the outcome would have been the same with TA in. We would have ran more possbly but that was the most true option we've ever ran with Taylor at the helm and he looked pretty good doing it.

TM runs the read option and can not run the spead option. His pitching and choice of is not good!

  6. Kenny bell tweet: I appreciate those who r positive and supportive. It's very difficult to decipher real fans on days like these

Sorry but is this Bo Pelini speaking or Kenny Bell? Obviously our HC doesn't appreciate our fan base. Too busy complaining about the fans than worrying about the ass kicking minnesota just gave them.

I agree with Kenny! We argue amoung ourselves, but there are others who will tweet players and coaches. I may not agree with all the member on this board, but I do respect your opinion. Tweeting players, coaches & recruits with negative comments is lack of Husker class!

  7. I wouldn't be too harsh on Martinez here. Or any player for that matter. Today's failure begins and ends with Bo Pelini.

No, it is on Martinez for not being truthfull about his injures.

Do you know for a fact the coaches weren't aware of his injuries?

I knew about the broken toes weeks ago from a friend who works at the University. I did not know about the shoulder. I also knew Martinez was going to start, but not play the whole game.

  8. I'm not sure why everyone is so shocked. What has this staff done to make you think they are being forthcoming with injury information? This also all but confirms that the coaching staff was passive aggressively calling out Taylor for not being honest with him about his condition.

I, and others, have stated that he will not be 100% this year and that it wasn't "just" turf toe. Not surprising - Bo hitched his wagon to Taylor and now he gets to deal with the consequences.

    AMEN!

  9. I thought there was a noticeable difference in how the team responded with Armstrong/Kellogg playing. Kind of like when Ganz took over for Keller.

I agree 100%. I thought I was the only one who saw this. I felt the team was more confident when Armstrong/Kellogg were in there. Obviously the teams they played had issues defending both QB's. Opposing defenses are just not threatened by TM and his sketchy decision making. Even a simple swing pass was completely telegraphed and resulted in a 8 or 9 yard loss against Minnesota. You can tell Martinez has very little on field awareness and no ability to check down receivers. He can only lock onto one receiver that's a defenders dream on pass plays.

Same issues for 4 years! We all thought it would get better, but it has not!

  10.

And if you think the defense would have played better if Tommy Armstrong was out there, you need to double-check which side of the ball he plays on.

Really???? You can't be serious can you? Did you not watch the last three games? The whole team was upbeat and having fun. The Offense was making plays and giving the D time to rest and adjust. And in making these plays on Offense also gets the D pumped up.

And Martinez was hanging receivers out. How many times did we get hit hard because of throwing in coverage or a pass thrown behind or short. These guys know who the best option is for this team to win and its not TM. It's simple, watch how they play.

I am 100% serious. And I did watch those games, and no, the team wasn't having any more "fun" with Armstrong out there than with Martinez. The TV people even commented on it in one game, how flat the team was on the sidelines. It's absurd to keep parroting this notion that Armstrong is going to magically make the defense play better.

The offense was making plays against crap opponents. We also lost Long in our last game, which has had a massive impact on our O Line.

And this nonsense about Martinez hanging receivers out - did you not watch the Purdue game? We lost Burtch to injury on a poorly-thrown ball, and Armstrong was all over the place, mostly missing high and making our WRs go up in coverage to try to pull the balls down.

I get that some people have a bug up their ass about Martinez, but these arguments are baseless. Just say you don't like the guy and be done with it.

Wow ! Tommy is a Freshman and has one bad game! TM is a Sr. and this has been happening for 4 years. The kid can run, but he can not throw. You and Bo need to take off the blinders.

  11. Even Lou Hotlz said NE looked better with Amstrong! We simply quit!

Lou Holtz isn't any kind of authority I'd be quoting to make my point.

And if you think the defense would have played better if Tommy Armstrong was out there, you need to double-check which side of the ball he plays on.

  12. There is simply no way "the team plays harder" if Armstrong plays this game and Martinez doesn't. We spotted that defense a ten-point lead and they couldn't hold it against Minnesota.

When are people going to learn that the Quarterback has zero affect on the defense? And what will the excuse be next year when Martinez is gone and we give up another game like this, or another 500 yards of offense to a weak team? Hangover from the Martinez Era?

You are wrong, twice we went 3 and out and the defense had less than a minute to rest. Minnesota is a physical team. The offense needs to give them a break and Martinez was awful throwing the ball today!
