We still need to win to recruit. Time will come.
-
Got to put some blame on Miles too though..
It's Miles fault because the AAU coach was pushing Auburn! WOW! Where is your facts that he made a mistake?
-
Can not take it no more, I am going to bed. UGLY! UGLY! UGLY!
-
Smith is just a backup plan to the other 2. I hear he is big and takes up space. Other than that, he is not very impressive.
-
I know this kids uncle and he is coming to Nebraska to play as a Freshman. He is an all around great athlete.
-
It does not matter how tough our schedule is, if we can not win games! I like the tougher schedule, but we need to play a few teams we can beat!
-
I agree!
-
Hawkins is still working!
-
This kid will not be a starter, but will be a very good bench player. He will be able to help us break the zone and spread out the defense, because you can not cheat. If he runs the floor, he will be a great wing on the break. If appears he will be dangers when he has room to shoot!

7-4 Fullerton

We would lose money because we can not play at home, because they start renovation of Bob for volleyball!
-
Erstad has pushed too fast! We do not have the talent to play this type of schedule. If does not help if we keep losing, Our only chance to make the NCAA is to win the league tournament. Not where I thought we would be.
-
Hopefully today's win will push into tomorrow! Go HUSKERS!

lol... talent? Where? Chad, maybe, Kelly but outside of them, where? If it exists it hasn't showed up and I've given up excuses and sugar coating.
Sang - bat is useless at .149
Darby - is average
Scheff - at .240 (wth)
Kash - .222 and questionable fielding
Headley - .172 enough said though I do think he has talent
Lubach, - .167 (umm... does anyone other then the fans see Stringer sitting there at .444)
Peters - .167 inexcusable average...
If anyone see's talent above, well... take the goggles off. No excuse for these numbers. None!!
edit:
I don't see any reason to play them.. we need runs and the above mentioned isn't getting it done. Maybe Erstad gives them Friday to show they want to hit.. if we are blown out again and can't put the ball in play, maybe we see the underclassmen Saturday and Sunday. Regardless, this is turning into a wasted season rather quickly.
Luback is in his first yr of D1 and Peters is just terrible. The rest all hit over .300 last year. This is why I said sit them on the bench for a week and see how the respond.
Also you can not blame it all on the players. They are still swinging for the fence on the third strike.

Cant you just be happy for the team. Always gotta throw that little extra in there.first post season win in this century
With our roster this is extremely impressive
Not sure if serious? Did you expect this from our team? I find it to be very impressive with our 6-7 man rotation that we were able to get as many W's as we did. It is very impressive
I agree Hedley. This is a great win with what we put on the floor. It is amazing that we won with several players averaging 36+ min. a game.
-
This is a winnable game as long as Ubel shows up and Talley does not try to do too much.
-
Other than Christensen, the Sr./Jr. class is .000 to .244. Pathetic! Need to send a message and play the underclassman. If they do not respond, at least we can give the younger players experience.
Was not aware of this stat...thanks.
And I agree--if this continues, we need to consider playing the younger kids, warts and all, if our Junior and Senior players can't produce. I'd rather we take our lumps getting our younger kids seasoned for future years than just flail away at this season with little to show for it...
Don't get me wrong, there is some talent there. BUT it may be time to send a message and see how they respond after setting on the bench for a week!

I don't know what I think about this move. Part of me is scratching my head because I was under the impression that our youngsters were studs and ready to step in. Now we are moving a longtime OL player to the DT spot?
Is Nickens that good at DT or are we still that thin at DT?
Hopefully the Spring game clears this up a little bit
Hedley, we are still light. Other than VV, we avg. around 280. It appears to be a 1 year backup for VV or it might be a message to the your guys.
-
I like this kid. He can shoot and wants to prove he belongs in D1.
-
You forgot talent!
-
Miles has stated that he wanted to save at least one scholly for next year, as there was only 1 SR next year.
-
Maybe a backup plan, if Atewe does not sign.

We have 1 schollie for next year. Miles is not going to just grab a player to fill a spot. If he does not find the player that is going to help this team, he will save the schollie for next year. He has shown in the past that he is willing to lose games with what he has to build the program.
