I love Rhule, but what happened to Trev talking about not winning the press conference? Out of everyone available, he's the most polished and biggest press conference guy.

We took the only advantage we had by firing Frost early and waited as if we didn't.

At some point, stories will be written how the "process" was successful and some of the setbacks the were experience etc...  Were we faked out with stories fed to us by "internal sources" or did no one really ever know until the last moment?  If the former is true, then we can expect a very unique hire (Urban/Fickle/ Kiffen/dare I still say Locksley) or  (latter) is it over-coming the Panther's financial obstacles and it is Ruhle?  Either way, the light is at the end of tunnel and we will all know very soon.   It does feel like Christmas Eve with all the speculation.   I just hope when one was opening a large box of a live animal; your parents got you a cat instead of a well bred hunting dog.  I saw two ladies walking their cat on the MoPac trail nd it did not look normal.

 

I will miss the speculation.anticipation/anxiety eating and drinking like genital warts, yes it was fun while we were in engaged, but I am so looking forward to moving ahead with our guy.  Beat Iowa and GBR.

 

P.S.  Can we got to 800 before the announcement? This is the finest as semblance of members anywhere.

 

Honest question. What is the contract department? If they are on the general counsel of the University, there seems to be little way they would share that with anyone

It just doesn't make sense for anyone to be so tight lipped for anyone outside of Fickell. 

He's turned down other jobs before. Is as Ohio as possible and would be the Coach at OSU if he was just a little earlier in his rise. 

Also seems exactly the type of thing the search firm would be able to get done.

Not trying to offend you as I've always respected your posts. So I was shocked when I read this post. 

Any P5 athletic director in the country should have 5 names in his desk drawer in case they need a football coach. Trev should have went into this season with 15. 

If he wanted to fire Frost in the off-season, who was his pick then? 

This whole thing is going to either underwhelm or over deliver. What a time in the world! 

Two of the better coaches flamed out elsewhere before finding their groove (Sark and Kiffin). 

Couldn't Tom Herman be in this group?

He's got three (Wentz, Lance, Easton Stick) and Dabo has two (Lawrence and Watson). 

His eye for talent is quite good. Having 2 top 3 picks at QB from NDSU isn't shabby at all. 

If Klieman was coming from NDSU, would that change the perception around him more? He was a very good recruiter there, a proven winner, and , from all accounts, a well prepared game day coach. 

It's a weird phenomena that his promotion to K State has taken a bit of that shine away. He has more QBs in the NFL than Dabo.

If it is Rhule there is no reason to wait until after the season to announce it. Same with Mickey.
