  1. Is anyone else amused that two of the biggest foul merchants in the NBA (LeBron and Embiid) are the ones complaining the most about officiating? I personally find that to be comical. Maybe it coincides with both of their teams being down 2-0?

  2. Nice bounce back for the Avs last night, and it was great to see Georgie have a good game. Taking one of two on the road is what I was hoping for, now they've got to dominate on home ice the next two.

Yeah definitely should’ve stopped a couple of those but the D breakdowns and that ridiculous perfect centering pass, to the wrong team, from Manson didn’t help. Georgie has to find a way to bail them out at least once in a while.

I actually thought the Avs looked pretty decent, at least better than I was expecting. The refs didn’t do us any favors. That questionable goal by the Jets had to be the quickest review in NHL history and that uncalled for whistle on our disallowed goal  Puck was still loose on a delayed penalty. I think Avs take game 2.

I sure hope so. It's funny, because I remarked to our group that Manson was on fire to start the game, and how great that was to see. Fast forward just a bit and his mistakes led to two Jets goals. Oof.

  4. Prime is such an a$$. The whole excuse about not visiting kids is absolutely ridiculous. This morning the radio was all about him now advocating for Shedeur, Travis, and Shiloh. He believes that Shedeur and Travis will both be drafted in the top four picks, but that they should only be going to certain teams, and they know which teams those are. When asked to expand on that and if he was referring to an Eli Manning type situation, he said absolutely. The local media, who has been d-riding him hard ever since he got to Boulder, were discussing if they think this is good for football or not, and even they are saying that his schtick is starting to get old. Some of them flat out expect him to leave Boulder as soon as his kids graduate (funny, that's what a lot of us on this forum have been saying all along), which is why he's trying to influence where they go in the NFL so much, almost like a package deal that could include him coming along with his kid(s). Yeesh, what a tool.

  5. I think people are worried about his injury history. The latest mock drafts that I'm seeing have Denver taking Bo Nix, which I think would be a huge reach at 12. Why the hell could they not offer Chicago something more than Pittsburgh did for Fields? I would have preferred that.

  6. Locally there has been a big push for JJ, although I'm not sold. I just didn't see much out of him at Michigan, but apparently the team is very high on him. Nix apparently had such a lousy combine that his stock is dropping considerably, and Penix is a stud athlete with terrible injury history. If JJ isn't available, I'm hoping they take the CB from Bama (I think) or Bowers if he falls far enough. They may bring in Tannehill for a stop-gap, and maybe Nix or someone else is available later (just please not Spenser Rattler, for the love of all that's holy). Bottom line: it's going to be a LONG several years for us Donkey fans.

Am I calling LeBron James a pu&&y for consistently over-acting when fouled?

    I guess I am.

Completely agree, can't stand him. I think Brooks is a bit of a jacka$$, but man, does he get in LeBron's head. LeBron is such a flopper, which is too bad because he's such a talent.

I actually felt bad for Philly fans in Denver  that paid money to see him in uniform. As a nugs fan, if you want to gift us a free win at home every year, fine by me. West us tough and we need the help

I completely agree. I like what the NBA has done to remove players from award contention if they miss too many games, but it's crazy they have to go to those measures. I hate to be get off my lawn guy, but back in my day, players just didn't miss games like they do today. The Pistons beat the living hell out of MJ, and he didn't take games off for it. Just a different game back then.

Also, nice win against the Bucks last night!

  9. We're going to be in New York for the Super Bowl, so we were figuring out where to make plans. Now, based on the results, I think we're honestly just not that interested in watching the game. We have a family of Giants, Bills, and Broncos fans on this trip. I am just so tired of the Chiefs, the crap with Mahomes and Kelce yesterday, the T-Swizzle coverage, etc. I hate to say it, but we may actually give the game a miss this year, or at the very least just be casual observers. Seems weird, I know, but that's kind of the sense we have.

  10. Lots of talk here locally (very one-sided, obviously) about Embiid once again dodging the Nuggets for the game here in Denver. I'm just curious what everyone else thinks about the situation. Nuggets fans have strong opinions about him not playing in Denver since 2019, especially with this most recent game. What do people from other fan bases think? I'd be really interested to hear the Philly fan take on this.

If you're talking about Nelson, are you sure you heard right?

This is all the 247 article says:

"It’s something that I’ve been dreaming about forever," said Nelson.  "I’m extremely excited to see the way of life and different culture. This will be my first time to Hawaii."

It was a graphic after he caught a pass with his name and info, and it said that underneath. I thought it was odd too, so maybe an oops by the broadcast; he sure doesn't look Hawaiian to me.
