Carriker worked his ass off for it, and Wali is doing the same. Whatever we can do to motivate these guys I say do it. NOt saying just hand em out like credit cards on campus, but crap if a guy is asked to fill the shoes of a downed teammate why not show him you have confidence in his abilities by rewarding him with a blackshirt?! But yes when AC comes back at that time Wali will need to give it up. But that will only make him that much more hungry to get it back...

Holy crap I cant believe this acutally happned!! Not to blow my own unit here... I mean.. anyway, this is how I repsoned a few hrs ago to redouts questions about how a loss effex recruit.. I know recruits can be fickle, but the good part is that since he said he is 100% committed, he isnt supposed to have ANY other official visits. If he does, we can revoke our offer to him and pursue someone else. So that wouldnt really stop someone if they truly wanted to go somewhere else.. but the cool thing is that we were his first visit!! So if he can say he is 100% after ONE visit and doesnt care about going anywhere else he could be pretty solid!! This is so cool.. B) Let the snowballl effect begin.....

Yes this sux but I actually dont think it has as much of an effect as we would think. Hopefully the recruit is looking at the whole picture, and takes other aspects into consideration like overall experience - the facilities, crowd, atmosphere, coaches, potential.. which all bode well for us. Yes last night probably had a bit of a damper on it, but maybe that could also say to him "damn imagine if they won this place would be nuts.. i could really make a difference here and be a hero" type stuff. so it could go either way. depends mostly on the individual kid.

I dont give a rats patute who Callahan thinks he needs to impress, b/c if he keeps that crap up the only wow factor is going to be HOW fast his ass gets the hook. Im sorry to say and Im not usually pessimistic or one to attack, but our coaches blew this one for us fellas. I know the past is the past, but sh#t guys Solich and co would NOT have lost this one. period. Why? 1) They would have kicked 2 field goals where Callahan went for the 1st down on 4th and long at midfield. Even if we didnt convert both of these you can bet your ass Solich wouldnt have thrown 4 straight times on the goalline. Yeah yeah I know.. if we didnt have Callahan we wouldnt have BEEN on the goal line. And I realize this is all theory but crap, I AM PISSED. A very demoralizing way to lose. I know a lot falls on Joey Ds decision making, but we have had players make worse decisions in the past and still came out on top. i.e . J Lord last yr in several games... even the So Miss game. Seriously guys. take a good long hard look at these numbers. and then go puke. b/c thats how they make me feel and should you too. THERE IS NO WAY WE SHOULD HAVE LOST THIS GAME with those kindof stats. 5 turnovers or not. Lets take a closer look... USM didn't have a rusher over 100 yards nor a passer over 150 yards. NU had almost 500 yards total offense and an 11 minute advantage in time of possession. We converted 3 of 4 chances in the red zone and averaged 6.1 yards per rush. And if you really want to make yourself sick, check this out: we gained 293 total yards on first down for a 7.7 yard per play average. 60% of our yards were on first down. Yet still a big fat L. This is unacceptable and hate to say, but losses like this wont be accepted too many more times.. This was a tough way to lose, and I feel for the guys who kicked ass like Cory Ross and the line and the D et al. grrrrrrr. not happy.

Screw that we gave the game to them. Happy birthday merry xmas and yada yada yada b/c you just got the gift of your life.

Its non stop until Monday night! first its MU getting punked by TROY STATE!! next its the Pats and Ponies then its FSU Miami ina jailyard battle for most crims. Then of course Sat morn its the Big Red Machine rumblin all over SoMiss yellow birdies, and then to the NFL for a full day of the best day of the season, then the Chiefs Sunday night then Monday night football!!!! holy mother of all KSU sow cows I am winded!!! I know all the good RBs will be gonzo and I really dont want to take a WR as my 1st pick overall, so shouldnt I take the best player available?? That would be Mann and Culp no?
