Heck offer Colorados old OC the gig for the rest of the season. Can't get any worse.

I want to know why our offense makes passing look so damn hard? Either our QBs are not being taught how to read a defense or our coordinator has no idea how to draw up plays to get receivers open. This is straight up embarrassing. And yes it is the play callers fault. Your team clearly cannot pass so call as few as possible. It's not rocket science. Just dumb decisions.

Good God the holding on our pass rushers is terrible. Damn near every play.

We have no QB. That was not Satt’s fault.
He knows his personnel. By asking them repeatedly to do things they can't. He is putting them in position to fail. That is on Sat.

Wisconsin's defense is great against the pass (15th in yards/att). Rush defense they are pretty average.
Defensive Yards/Carry
4) Nebraska 2.57 ypc
18) Iowa 3.27 ypc
19) Maryland 3.28 ypc
36) Mich St 3.58 ypc
49) Minnesota 3.78 ypc
50) Wisconsin 3.79 ypc
60) Purdue 3.99 ypc
This means Satterfiled will go 55% downfield pass and 25% bubble screens, 15% QB runs and 5% handoff to the RBs. This is obviously because Wisconsin will know we want to attack their weakness, so we definately shouldn't do it.

He definitely seemed completely oblivious to the safety in the hole yesterday. It didn't seem like he'd had that issue before. Which again makes me think MSU did a good job of baiting him into throwing over the top by intentionally getting "beat".
I would say he has not anticipated well for most of the season. Although it is definitely harder to do that when he wasn't getting a lot of reps until Sims got hurt and the WR room as been a merry-go-round since.
Getting beat or holding the receivers?

I just found myself amazed, again, at the past couple years of just pure 100% misses in QB talent. I mean we are not an above average P5 team, below average really....BUT, we are a historic Blue Blood with a rabid fan base and amazing facilities...and we simply recruit QB's who were obviously starting QB's in HS but also the starting and/or 2nd string player on defense, and likely better at that position than QB...it's weird.
Hard to build a QB room when you have a true freshman starter that would need to be unseated. As soon as A-Mart happened you had at least 2 years of QB misses. That said, AMart would win the division even with this line.

The blatant missed face mask call in the first half. The td call. The blatant non passing interference call on the pass to Coleman. The fumble on the last possession. The terrible spot that didn't stop the clock, not a single holding call on their Oline (I generally dont track those any more because clearly Big Ten refs have been told holding doesnt happen against Nebraska). I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. Doesn't absolve piss poor play, but the refs were clearly calling the game for Mich St.

As bad as we played, the refs have 2 huge missed calls that impacted the outcome of this game.
Only 2? I can think of at least 5.

They marked us short for some reason.
He caught the ball in front of the line and was driven back after catch. Should've been a first. Like I said someone needed Mich. St. to win.

3rd down should have been reviewed. Wasn't a fumble. Thanks again refs.

Here comes a stop by the defense and the hope of Big Red Nation that we could pull this off followed by a game ending int.
Ok fumble, not int. Hate being mostly right.

Wow Refs.... thanks for the f. u. BIG 10

Jesus. Everybody anywhere saw that and saw the ball hit the ground, except the refs. ESPN/ Vegas must need Mich st. to win this game.

Haarberg isn’t “quick enough” to avoid big hits. He is a straight ahead runner.
First time watching this team?
That's why he's better off lowering the shoulder and delivering the hit.

HH is going to get killed stopping to take the hit.
Yeah Tommy and Eric and whoever else was telling him to quit taking hits have messed him up. The best way to avoid getting hurt when taking a hit is to be the one delivering it.

Johnson looks a bit like Ameer running out there.

#1 HALFTIME observation. Haarberg needs to learn how to do a fake pitch. Mich St. is over pursuing the option so bad he could run for miles.

This is a fair take, but do you really believe we are winning BECAUSE of him, or he is simply doing enough/not screwing up as much as Sims for the team as a whole to win? I applaud his effort, his heart and his want to. I simply think his ceiling is pretty low overall as a well rounded QB, and we should be trying to shoot higher. I also acknowledge that the same should be said for the entire offense around him, so yes he may be better with better performance around him. I think we want him on the field in some capacity regardless regularly, and he could be an emergency QB for the rest of his time here.
How many games would we have won without his legs? Dang straight we are winning because of him. The QB run is the reason we will go bowling.

You may get stabbed getting to La Ja’s, but it is still worth it. 10 out 10, would recommend. It is the only thing that makes visiting friends/family in the area worth while.
Otherwise, there is no other need to stop in Sioux City.
The solution is the LA Juas location in South Sioux City.

I mean .... I'm usually a decent defender of the guys in stripes.
But there were a bunch of really questionable decisions there. I was at the game so I probably didn't get all the replay angles. But it sure didn't look like there was enough to overturn either of the fumbles that they did. And the trargeting call looked to be straight out of the definition but they tossed it. Seems like there was another one that seemed really odd...
The ones that seemed odd were probably the holding calls that went against Purdue. I saw Satan in Scheels picking out a Columbia coat shortly after.

The thing is, Simms and Haarbergs deep pass interceptions all look the exact same. They are not being coached to read a defense.
