Obviously. A QB that is better than the current one on any team would make any team's receivers better. But that wasn't the point of the exchange I had with the other poster.
The point I was making is that it'll be hard to draw in a pass-first guy with the receiver corps we have.
We wound up with Sims because Sims couldn't get any better offers - and Sims' play is really bad. Definitely worried that Rhule brings in another sub-par player like Sims for next year, big concern. Was it Rhule pushing for Sims or Satterfield? I agree the decision to bring in Sims was a bad one but I am hopeful they will have more time to consider better options for next season.

I just don't see us being a destination school for any good transfer QB with the offensive line woes we have.
With a decent QB we would be winning the BIG West now. I realize we will not have 2 divisions next year, but leading Nebraska in the very visible BIG would be a step up for some non-P5 QBs.

I know I said this earlier in this thread, but Nebraska needs to go after Kaidon Salter. He plays the exact style that Rhule wants and is a winner. I recommend watching this video on mute unless you are a hip hop fan.

I knew South Carolina fans wanted Satterfield gone, but I never realized he also sucked as a head coach and was previously fired.

Satterfield needs to go. He is the highest paid assistant in Nebraska history and cost us the game today at the end. He called 2 pass plays when we were in FG range...had we run it 3 times and settled for a FG, we go up 3 and leave less time on the clock for Maryland.
How long is his contract?

What is the record for the most different QBs by one team to throw an INT in the same game?
-
Here are the top QBs so far in 2023. In looking at the top 20 on the list, I could see a couple guys who might be willing to move to the BIG. Oregon States QB and the QB for Liberty (Kaidon Salter) who appears to be a good fit for Rhules offense. Salter has 19 TDs and 3 INTs and is a sophomore.

As bad as we played, the refs have 2 huge missed calls that impacted the outcome of this game.

This loss on Haarberg and the offensive line.
Its a full team loss. The defense sucked today too and our punter and special teams was not great.

Have you seen Haarberg try to throw it on the run?
When he is rolling out it opens up the field and gives him a lane to run.

We do not have pocket passers. Why on earth does Satterfield keep calling pass plays in the pocket. Make it make sense.
-
At this point we need to throw the ball downfield and take the risk of an INT. Small ball will not work down 10 in the 4th.
-
When HH makes good throws the WR biffs the catch.

Michigan State appears to be the more talented and physical team. This just shows how pathetic the BIG West is. Indiana is still beating Wisconsin in the 4th.

Michigan State playing a clean game which is exposing all our weaknesses...bad O-line, QB that cannot pass, recievers that drop catches, D line that is getting manhandled and a punter who belongs back in high school.
-
I have no idea why Satterfield does not have HH rollout. He is not a pocket passer.

Buschini is on the Ray Guy watch list and he's a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy.
And he just came up with a punt a six-grader would be embarrassed about.
He has had many bad punts this season. Not a fan and we need to look at backup options.
-
We need to sit the punter. He looks horrible. HH's interception has been the best punt today.
-
MSU has better special teams and better lines. We have to hope for them to make some mistakes on offense.
-
The d line having their worst game since Michigan. MSU has all the time to throw

Defense has not made any big plays today. We need them to get a TO or sack.

BB needs to pin them deeper with that punt.
-
Great drive and play calling. I like that Satterfield stuck with the run and we had a long methodical drive!

HH is NOT a good QB.
Yet he appears to be the best on the team which speaks to the lack of talent at this position.

I like HH at WR and he could come in as a wildcat QB or for trick plays as well.
