  1. NICE!! Man they str8 mashed them wildmuffs, 81-63! http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB...00&ATCLID=31663
  2. I can respect that. We have to realize that there are probably more people like WyHus than we want to admit. Especially the hard core purists which it seems Wy is a strong member of. That is understandable, after the drastic 180 slash and burn that just occured. I mean truly, when you really stop to think about it, it leaves your head spinning with the complete institutional overhaul that took place, and continues to ripple like a big red quake. I think the "others" with strong convictions about tradition like WyHus have just completely thrown in the towel and said the hell with it. So thats why he seems so enigmatic. But I bet there are more like him than we think. Personally I wasnt a "true diehard" fan during the good ol days so to speak. I was so young during the late 70's and early 80s that I dont think the tradition had as long to soak into my "big red brain". People like WyHus and others that have older roots into Big Red lore will take a little longer to assimilate and "break" and some may never accept the NU era. But whether you get back on board or not WyHus, I think its good to have a perspective like yours around here. So even if you drift from supporting the team over the next season, feel free to drop in here ever now and then to give your side of the story. But man if I have to look at that blasted Wildcat logo in your sig again I might honk!! shirt
  3. We have a couple skers runnin for the North today at 4. Roster: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/features/sto...iorbowl/rosters shirt
  4. I was actually just referring to people from those other schools, rather than Husker transplants WyExHus. I believe you are an NU grad am I wrong? But since it seems that your loyalites have now drifted closer to Wyoming, I will add you to the list. But despite the negative attitude, you seem pretty optimistic about the upcoming season. Whats the deal? You have too many drinks during that last post? I actually think we will probably drop 2-3 games in the regular season, but compete hard in all of them. We should compete for the Big 12 champ too b/c Im not sure CU or KSU really have that much returning. MU may be our biggest comp in the north, and weve got them in our yard this year!! GBR
  5. HuckFuskers. Watch the trailertrash talk sugarlips. We designed a forum called 'Smack Someone' for that type of garbage. So if you have nothing topical or relevant to add to a discussion that doesnt include f'n bleeps, dont bother. KState fans wonder why everyone is so bitter towards them, but 95% of all your posts on this board have been nothing but trash. I realize that some of it has been instigated by people on "our side", but they have had the decency to keep it where it belongs (smack someone, Eric the Red's forum) instead of spraying it all over the board like a fat kid with high speed internet and no parental controls. We've had LSU, UCLA, OU, TX, Cal, Wis, and many other fans on here, and most all seem to find an objective non-vulgar way to make their points. I dont care if we agree with your opinion or not, thats irrelevant. Contradicting non-offensive opinions are good for discussion. And I understand you think you have this "role" to play as the jaded pissed off kstate fan that we all love to hate, and I agree that there is a place for that Barney character to beat in every Huskers life, but give it a rest once in a while wouldja? But if thats too far above you, whatever, just keep it where it belongs, thats all I ask.

  17. Great, now the unstable image can resurface and bring doubts back into the kids minds who are nearing a decision, and are planning to play for Gill, i.e. Grixby. Apparently the South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting in today's edition that Gill is one of four candidates for the Dolphins job along with Oakland Raiders Offensive Coordinator Marc Trestman, former Arizona Cardinals Quarterbacks Coach Geep Chryst and San Diego Quarterbacks Coach Brian Schottenheimer. wonderful. http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_np=0&u_pg...38&u_sid=982047
  18. Havent heard too much about this guy. Doesnt appear that he even had another offer. kinda odd. http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.a...sp?pr_key=17410
  19. Damn, just saw the score! 76-47. Man I nailed our total. And no I didnt post at 8:45, it was more like 7:45, the timing on this board is hokey. As for my prize, naw, keep the gimp another wk. He's worthless to me. Instead of E-gimp, how about a Baylor review since you finally got on the wagon and went to a game. Did we really look that good, or were those dope blowers just that bad?

  25. SI.com: BCS update Commissioners for the six BCS conferences met on two occasions at the recent NCAA convention in Nashville, Tenn., discussing both potential changes to next year's rankings system in the wake of this year's LSU/USC debacle as well as the upcoming contract renegotiations with ABC. Pac-10 commissioner Tom Hansen said there are three options on the table for revising the rankings: letting the human polls stand alone if there are consensus No. 1 and 2 teams, giving those polls greater emphasis than the computer rankings and/or eliminating the quality win component. Hansen said they'd also like the strength-of-schedule system to distinguish between home and away games. In the meantime, the Rose Bowl's renegotiation with ABC, slated for the first half of the year, is on hold due to the uncertainty surrounding the BCS' future structure. The Rose Bowl's existing contract is separate from the other three BCS bowls but expires at the same time, after the 2005 season. While the Rose Bowl and its partners, the Big Ten and Pac-10, remain committed to staging a BCS title game, bowl officials aren't thrilled with the possibility of the championship moving to after the bowls as has been widely speculated. "We're pretty much in the range that's been publicly discussed," said Hansen. "Four games plus either a fifth game played concurrently with them, or the 'plus-one' game, those are the major structural differences we're looking at. Or you could do both. Or there are various subsets within that."
