  1. Just wanted to get this out there so people can get started. Here are some early rules, and I'll come up with some others as we go...

    Join our group here: http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/group?groupID=39683

*I believe ESPN closes the brackets about 10 mins before the 1st tip on Thur morning, so dont wait.

    General rules:

    Members & guests can participate.

You can create as many entries as you want, but...

only board members will qualify to win the prizes, and...

the only account considered is the one with the same email addy you used for the board, but...

ESPN allows each user to create up to 5 entries, so you are entitled to create as many or few as you want, and..

the best of your entries will be used.

I'll announce the prize details soon... good luck.

*You may need to 'refresh' your browser for the updates to display.

  4. Wanted to offer a little contribution of my own to the '07 Recruiting SPECTACULAR this has become, so put together a resource of all kinds of cool crap about each player.... scout vs rival ranks, total team ranks, articles, quotes... pretty much everything I thought was interesting from numerous sources, combined it into 1 central resource for everyone.

    2007 Husker Recruiting Resource

*Offensive players are complete -- defense & special teams will be done tomorrow.

One thing I found interesting -- check out how many players mentioned something about "how great the fans are" in their quotes ... quite a few... and if thats the main thing that sticks out in their minds, its pretty cool to know we have an impact on the program on that level.

*Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions for stuff to add, or notices any errors. I should have it finished up by tomorrow evening.

    Enjoy!!

  5. USC now has 10 scholarship I-Backs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might have one less real soon:

LOS ANGELES -- The University of Southern California is looking into whether it may have violated NCAA recruiting rules while pursuing highly rated recruit Joe McKnight, a university official said.

McKnight signed a national letter of intent with USC on Wednesday and made comments during a news conference that seemed to suggest communications involving former Trojan Reggie Bush, who is now with the New Orleans Saints.

Former players are forbidden from telephoning prospective recruits, their relatives or guardians.

  6. Thanks again for the info AR. Well I did end up purchasing a similar application, but went with a different brand which had better reviews, and was a better overall value.

    SimpleTech STI-NAS/160 160GB SimpleShare Network Attached Storage RJ45, USB 2.0 - $79.99

I received it a few days ago, and so far am very happy with my purchase. Very slick device, which allows the creation of multiple "letter drives" on the network for shared storage. Also included backup software which will be useful, and not to mention 160 GBs of internal storage!! With the ability to add on 2 add'l drives if needed. Great overall buy.

  7. Ok, we've seen the requests for the Womens Skins - so heres your chance to make it official.

    My thoughts ...

The business side of my brain says it looks like a great opportunity to capitalize on the "ladies night" phenomenon - you know, cheap drinks for the women = more women at the bar = more doods with disposable income looking to take said women home from said bar = more capital... to spend on chix.

And on the other hand, the "guy side" of my brain says, now just who the hell do you expect to seek out the pictures of these banana boat wearing ass puppets, to post in the "dood skin"?!!? And being in a position of authority, I vote NOT IT. With that said, anyone else that would like to nominate AR Husker for the position of "nanalama hunter " say EYE!!! :corndance:corndance:corndance:nanalama:nanalama:nanalama

  8. ........to fight with it, and after successfully detaining the raptor, she swallowed it whole and immediately the missing part of her a$$ grew back. Lee stood there in amazement and then......

Corso ate Rosie, hoping that the same regenerative process would help him regrow his genitalia, but alas it failed. and then...

... my ditch shrooms started to wear off, and I found myself back in my front yard with my neighbor Iggy Pop licking my cheeto fingers...so I quickly took a hit from the resin that happened to be lying on one of his several shoulder blades, and found myself back in....

  9. ...back in Lubbock, the Red Raiders football program was being taken over by none other than General Bobby Knight. In his first practice, Knight punched Graham Harrell in the arm ending his career. Immediately following the incident...

...SportshockCenter rushed to the scene to do a 78-day expose' on the BREAKING NEWS incident, titled "KNIGHT IS ONE TOUGH LOVER... and Colorapo football players still like to rape blonde kicker girls" - albeit not nearly as tough as...

  10. Well, first of all - are all the comptuers networked? If so, then why not a simple batch script that runs early each morning, such as at 2:30 a.m.? You could designate a single machine as the "central" server, then have all the others run the script using Task Scheduler. The central server becomes your repository for all backed up data, and would be accessible from any computer on the network.

In addition, if you throw in a cheap RAID card (or if it's already available on the motherboard), you could mirror the data on the central server on two hard drives.

I've got an older file server that I use just that way - everything is mapped to that server and the batch files back up all computers to it. Very handy, and pretty cheap.

Thanks for the geekback.. i mean feedback. Theyre all networked in the sense that they all use the same wireless router, but they arent all on the same LAN or anything.. if that makes sense.

Your suggestion is probably just a cheaper way of accomplishing something like this box would do?

    http://www.netgear.com/Products/Storage/Ne...rage/SC101.aspx

What are your thoughts about Netgear and this device in particular -- good, average, bad solution? Should I just stop being a little B and use a 3rd PC as the central server/hub? i love me some geek talk. chuckleshuffle join on in BRI, dont be scurred!!
