    100/150 (66.6%) - 1463 yards - 6 TD - 2 INT - 166.58 QBR - 9.75 YPA

    118/180 (65.6%) - 1497 yards - 9 TD - 6 INT - 145.2 QBR - 8.3 YPA

Which is which through 6 games in their fourth season?

Or you know, we could compare both of them this season which actually makes sense.

    Martinez:  86/138 (62.3%) - 900 yards - 4 TD - 0 INT - 126.7 - 6.5 YPA

I'll take Thompson for $1,000, Alex

Your first and only claim was that Casey is making throws we haven't seen in years. And you cherrypicked examples, so I cherrypicked examples of the same types of throws from literally only last year.

You don't need to try and come up with a half dozen other tangent talking points about how they're different or whatever different point you're trying to get to now, as I wasn't addressing any of that. Only the specific point that we have never seen those throws before.

I haven't gone back and read the thread, so if I missed it and that's not what you're trying to say, my bad but if you are trying to claim that Casey and Martinez are even remotely on the same playing field as passers, that is simply false.

An argument is being made that GT is a better job than Nebraska.   A few valid points -  -1. easier place to find recruits around GT - my counter is that NIL levels that some what and the right coach will draw in great players OR develop / coach up those he has    2.Expectations - Yes Nebraska's expectation have been unrealistic - but  right now we are at the bottom - so those expectations aren't so high as when we hired Frost to get us to the NCG by year 5.   - 3.  ACC - easier schedule - that will always be the case I think just by the make up of the conferences.  Depends if the coach wants a real challenge or not. They can possibly take the easier route to the playoffs and then flop once there or face tougher competition in conference and be prepared for the playoffs.   With the right coach, and with out financial resources and fan support, I think we can overcome these issues.

Brad Crawford sounds like an idiot.  Who are these "people" that think otherwise?

I watched him play Sunday. He was flying around. Man do I miss him.

Same.  He’s a beast and extremely underrated.  I honestly think we win against NW if he was there.  He masked so many deficiencies.

    Exactly.

In my post I mentioned that as a matter of policy, there really are both sides. I get it.

But, regarding my post, was there something incorrect @RedSavage or a point you disagreed with? Or are my factual statements leading to an uncomfortable echo chamber where other people also point out obvious crimes, anti-democratic rhetoric, etc. just something you find annoying in politics in general?

Nope.  Just that I'm shocked this thread went the way it did.

The general conversations in these threads always turn into how bad Trump is/was and I'm not here to disagree but you'd think everyone on the left was a gift from heaven if all you ever read was opinions on this site.

Uh, yeah - DSL is questioning whether "right AND left" are really equivalent in the divisiveness, which is the topic of the thread.

And Walks started the thread by saying they're both divisive and both sides essentially suck.  My point was that DSL's post is a perfect summation of the echo chamber that is politics on this site.

I don't understand, what should the left do here? Politely point out the crimes of Trump, and kindly ask those who defend him - in his attack on Democracy and willful violations of law - to pretty please stop?

Look, you can "both sides" policy debates. I agree there are two sides to issues like Student Loan Forgiveness, Healthcare policy or funding for government programs.

There are not two sides to Trumps crimes, calling his supports anti-democratic or a danger to the country, because all of that is true.

You don't have to be nice or understand their side on this issue just because 70 million Americans don't see anti-democractic rhetoric, criminal intent by the leader of their party, or dangerous flirtation with white nationalism as a problem.

He literally said the right AND the left and you instantly go full DERRR ORANGE MAN BAD.  I agree that he's a s#!t human but Jesus.  I rarely venture into P&R on this site bc it is such a ridiculous echo chamber that others have alluded to many times and get ran off, or called Trump apologists (which just to clarify, I am not at all), whatever the case may be.

Is NPG just not going to live up to hype? I was pumped to get him, but just hasn’t been able to crack any type of chart or earning PT. Am I missing anything like injury?

I think he's really undersized is a big part of the problem

I know people love to slam the guy with the "he was a financial planner FFS" comment...but he was co-offensive coordinator & WR coach at Washington before he moved to Colorado to do that.

Is Mark Whipple a more qualified OC? Yes.

But personally I've got a long list of specific things that I believe lost us nine games last year and Lubick's participation in the scheme & play calling is practically at the bottom of the list.

do agree though that Scott shouldn't have used the buddy system when he got here - he should have swallowed his pride and went out and purchased the best OC money could buy. That's what he should have done. But he didn't and here we are. I still don't think Lubick was towards the top of "problems" list for 2021, though.

I would agree that he wasn't at the top of the list but I don't think he's even a remotely good coach.

Lubick got canned for a reason.

And not picked up by anyone since.

I don't think it matters. I think we could have kept Lubick on and had him call 100% of the plays and it would have been fine.

The O-line coaching needed vast improvement, and it seemed like QB coaching was really dropping off a cliff as well.

But just pointing it out for others: The offensives scheme or concepts aren't really going to eliminate turnovers, false starts, and poor blocking. We're talking about player development & game preparation more than anything.

I agree the execution has been lacking but I couldn't disagree more about Lubick.  Dude has no business being an OC.

If anyone is a comic book/graphic novel fan, Amazon just dropped S3 of "The Boys" a couple weeks ago.  It is...a lot.  Super dark, graphic violence and lots of humor.  The really go for it.  Premise of the show is there is a band of superheroes that are out stopping crimes, etc. and they work for a megacorp that puts them on TV shows, movies, sponsorships, etc.  As usual, things don't pass the smell test.  Cast is a little under heralded although there are some recognizable names like Elisabeth Shue, Karl Urban, Laz Alonzo and a few others.  Show is definitely not for the weak of stomach.

Best show on TV right now.

I went back a few pages and searched for people talking about Barry. We just finished the the third season over the weekend. It stars Bill Hader (SNL) in a non-comedic role as an ex-Marine who does murder-for-hire after coming back from Afghanistan. One of his jobs is to kill a young actor in LA, but as he's stalking his target he gets caught up in the guy's acting class and learns he loves to act. Some really interesting and quirky characters.

My previous knowledge of Bill Hader was from SNL, mostly his Stefon character. This could not be more polar opposite of Stefon. It's just a really good, really unique show.

I keep forgetting I need to watch the new season.  It took them long enough to come out with it.

I don't know where to find the rankings listed above.  But on a yards per game basis, we went from average (#66) to pretty good (#22).  It was even better on a yards per play metric - from #72 to #18. We gained 3 inches less per play than Alabama did last year.  Which doesn't seem "bad" to me.

    Three inches is a lot!

I don't think it was the offense in general so much as it was costly turnovers, not being able to make FG's, etc.  All that has sure made it seem like we've regressed.
