Per this he coached the 2-5 record. So 5-7, 2-5, 9-1. 1 winning record out of 3. Kind sounds like Frost. 5 losing. 1 winning. Sorry but for me if you getting $10 million a year you have proven you can sustain success.

    College[edit]

Year Team Overall Conference Standing Bowl/playoffs
    Colorado Buffaloes (Pac-12 Conference) (2019)
    2019 Colorado 5–7 3–6 5th (South)
    Colorado: 5–7 3–6
Michigan State Spartans (Big Ten Conference) (2020–present)
    2020 Michigan State 2–5 2–5 7th (East)
    2021 Michigan State 9–1 6–1
    Michigan State: 11–6 8–6
    Total: 16–13

Yep, you're right.  I must have blacked out that from my football memory like most things in that regard nowadays.  I would agree but since they didn't have to pony up the money I'm sure they're all about it to not lose him to LSU.

What has he actually accomplished to get nearly 10 mill a year. He has a career 16-13 W-L record. Consider me confused if true.

Took over a team that was 2-5 and got them to 9-1 the following year and in the top 10.  I was going to say, that's a pretty big risk if this is just a flash in the pan but I guess what do they care if it's not their money.  Might as well.

Are any of these guys any good?  I see that QB tore an abdominal muscle and lost his job and then broke his arm (fishing?).  Are they just attractive because the LSU behind their name?

I think Brennan would be one of the best transfer qb's we could realistically get.  Joshua Moore is very talented but comes with some baggage.  Don't know crap about the other guys.

I could very well be wrong but Rahmir seems more like a the hole is supposed to be here I am going to run here more often than not. I may have some kind of bias to Yant. Not sure what it would be but it is possible. He just seems to have a higher ceiling to me.

Yea, if the hole isn’t right in front of Rhamir, far too often he misses it.

The thing that seems to get overlooked in these Clash song should he stay or should he go questions is, the people on the go side always assume things will get better with a new guy. Nebraska has proven repeatedly that is not necessarily or even usually the case.

I won’t and can’t argue that Frost’s results thus far don’t lean towards needing to start over. It’s been subpar and less than acceptable. Fact. But we have all seen the flashes of what could be and have all witnessed spells of much better football than we’ve seen the last 20 years in Lincoln. You’re being dishonest if you can’t/won’t acknowledge that much. I won’t claim any moral victories but I have not seen the Huskers competitive the way they were against OU, MSU and Michigan this season in a long long time. The line play has improved by leaps and bounds even if they have a ways to go. Just look at the difference between the last two Michigan games. It’s night and day. But yes, actual victories need to start happening.

I am on the fence on this question but have decided that I will wait and see what happens in these next 4 games. Seems like the logical thing. We all know that Trev will definitely not be making any changes before this season ends. Might be helpful if some armchair know-it-alls took the same approach. The window is closing for HCSF to keep this job but it hasn’t closed yet. Be careful what you advocate for, you might just get it.

I agree with this.  I was watching the Seahawks and Saints game last night and watching the Seahawks was like watching NU.  Horrible oline play, couldn't kick, horrible penalties on third down that gave the Saints a first (4 times) and a qb who wouldn't get rid of the ball fast enough.

They are extremely average without Wilson to cover some of their flaws.  Look at Clemson, they are struggling awfully hard without Lawrence this season.  Ohio State was struggling at the beginning of the season but now Stroud is playing some great ball and they look much better.  There's plenty of other examples I could find.  WE NEED AN ELITE QB.  Martinez may get there some day but at this point he's not there.

What? Do you remember how awful our OLB core was before he took over?? They have become much, much better. DeWitt was horrible

True.  I guess I slightly question how much of that is to his credit or more Chins.

Dawson? Maybe fired from special teams duties but that was Frost’s fault to begin with

Nothing against him but what has he done to deserve to be retained?  As has been said, a dedicated ST coach would be much more useful.
