  1. oooops...how embarrassing. NU finishes 5-3. Losing to Colorado only. Not at KU. Sorry. Kay U is definitely not ready to take out NU.
  2. MU (5-3): W at KU L at CU W vs Baylor L at KSU CU (6-2): W at KSU W vs MU L at ISU W vs NU NU (5-3): W vs OU L at KU W vs KSU L at CU
  3. I think people s/b able to feel free to state the obvious w/o fearing for the demise of their professional life and destruction of their credibility because of a panicky media that loves to distort Christianity and ethnicity issues. There are what, 250M US citizens? Maybe 50M are African American? Yet, 80% of all skill players in D1 football are African American. I don't understand what the media is freaking out about.
  4. We all now the current conference standings at the top of the B12 North: MU 3-1 CU 3-1 NU 2-2 What are some takes on how the three top teams will fare week to week to finish the regular season? All three of these teams face each other in the coming five weeks. Whose schedule appears to be most favorable? MU: at KU at CU vs Baylor at KSU CU: at KSU vs MU at ISU vs NU NU: vs OU at KU vs KSU at CU Here is my prediction for final reg season standings: CU (6-2) MU (5-3) NU (5-3)
  5. Thanks, BRDT. That's a classy sentiment. Best wishes to you against blOwU this weekend. BEAT UGLYHOMA!
  6. He had an amazing day, there is no doubt. I just think the other 10 guys on the team get overlooked. For instance, Will Franklin had 7 or 8 catches on the day. All but one was for a first down. That's the kind of stuff you love to see from your sophomore skill players. Knowing where the first down markers are, getting open and making the play. Little stuff like that is exciting. Smitty running around like a banshee is icing on the cake. The scoreboard final was the absolute best part of all. Team game. Your team played a great game on Saturday, I will hand it to you guys. 2 games in Columbia in a row. I am just a little sore for the treatment of myself and my girlfriend on saturday and numerous other Husker fans. If you are here to talk football, then welcome aboard. Lord knows you would do your fan base a great service by being a good representative for MU fans. I will certainly do my best to be a decent ambassador of MU fans while here. Don't look for me to be the sharpest tool in the shed (see my screwup with Rucker's first name above) and don't profess to be a know it all historian of MU football. But, I have been a big fan since the age of 8 or 9. Every single year, I hope it's MU's turn to shock the conference and win the thing....every year....always kept waiting. This year is probably not the year either, to be honest. I can see MU laying an egg in Larryville, getting beat up in Boulder, maybe beating Baylor in CoMo then getting psyched out in Manhattan to end the season 4-4 in conf play and heading to the Dove Soap Bowl or whatever.
  7. Never....ever.... I'm a lifetime Mizzou fan. Born and raised on the black and gold. Good on ya. The way you enterd the board I thought you were going to be trouble, but you seem to be pretty decent after a couple of posts. Brad is quite the complete athlete. It will be interesting to see how he fairs in the draft, where he goes and what position he'll play. He should be as exciting as Vick if someone drafts him for a QB position. Being a passing QB he has a lot going for him already. Unlike some of our talented option QB's from years past. I can get a little edgy just like any other fan posting on a forum. But, hang in there with me. I'm OK overall. Whether Smitty sticks in the NFL is anyone's guess. To me, he doesn't possess the arm strength or timing right now to be considered a legitimate NFL QB prospect. Vick has arm strength, accuracy AND wheels. Smitty mainly has wheels. I can see him as a DB if he bulks up a little. He can take the hits cuz he's done so over his career and always bounces up. But, you know what. I'm not concerned about his NFL future. I am only concerned about him leading the Tigers to a North Title and appearance in the Conf championship game. What happens after that is icing on the cake. A nice bowl win would be great.

  9. Touched a nerve, eh? It sucks to be in your position....I know. But you'll be alright when it stops hurtin'.
  10. Last I checked, Mike Rucker was a Husker and currently plays for the Carolina Panthers. The first Cornhusker game I attended was in 1996, against MU. Nebraska won 51-7, never showed up MU on the field, never witnessed any fans get shown up in the stands. The abuse MU endured was on the football field. What I witnessed in Columbia was pure Busch League. Ya know what guys, if you act like you have been there before, perhaps you wouldn't get called out by local and national media as being second rate soccer hooligans. I will go back to Columbia in 2 years, I will yell even louder, and it will be even sweeter when you boners crawl back into the holes that you crawled out of. LOL....yep....he does. Kid brother is a stallion at TE for the Tigers, though.
  11. Is there a control button that will direct a guy to the most recent post in a thread. This constant scrolling down to the lastest post is a pain.

  13. Thanks, OKC. I like Smitty. He's an exciting player...probably the best player to ever put on pads at Mizzou. However, I'm extremely excited about some of the other players as well. It took a total team effort to beat NU. Everyone seems to overlook the fact that MU held NU's offense to less than 50 yds rushing. They also brought the pass rush as well which really rattled Taylor. If Pinkel (whom I have issues with just like most MU fans) would not have inserted Daniel into the QB spot when he did during the first half, the momentum of the Tiger offense would not have slowed and it may have been 41- to whatever at the half.
