Frustrated

I have to go with the most recent Wiscosin loss. But it was close.

All of the Wisconsin losses. Their fans support their team like we used to.

How is this fan base supposedly the "best and smartest in the country" when a lot of them seem to be nothing but a bunch of ignorant front running drama queens.

This. Exactly. But, we have known this for a long time. Hard to be front-running when we don't win, though.

 

 

I'm guessing 8 wins. I think we'll lose to Miami, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Minnesota or Northwestern. I'm okay with that assuming we improve next year.

Really no different than the last 7 seasons. Only, sometimes we'd beat a team we shouldn't only to follow it up by losing to a team we shouldn't.

 

Mike Riley is about doing things differently to try and get a different outcome. There's A LOT going against this team right now and it is what it is.

Entitled? WTF! C'mon...championships are earned. Period. Stop with the entitled crap. We haven't played well enough to earn a championship in forever. We aren't entitled, just hungry. Let's hope we can beat the teams we are supposed to beat, steal a few we maybe aren't and get a chance to play for one in Indy. But, we have to earn that right each and every Saturday. Entitled my butt.

This should not have been a huge letdown but that 8-1 run last year got people so excited. You have the entire team back so it looks like they are going to be really good but I think a lot of you guys knew, deep down, that it would be a struggle to hit 20 wins, right?

 

I think that most of you knew it would be difficult to get to .500 in conference games right?

 

I think that it was the non-conference that set the tone.

Sadly, I called it in November. 5 wins in conference. Nailed it.

What did I win? Shoot. I thought we could end the season with a huge win for the Seniors.

40 minutes untill we see how my prediction came out. Maryland is playing at a very high level lately, that does not bode well for our Huskers.

The ucniforms aren't the problem. Nothing wrong with the new ones, other than the "hype" surrounding unis that are so very subtly different. I am speaking for all of the adidas unis here. None are radically different. Personally, I think its great that the kids get new ones for the post-season. But, not buzz-worthy in my opinion. Moving on.

The real question is whether the Huskers post season unis are red/white/black or blue/black or white/gold?

Bump. Sadly, my early prediction is looking pretty good. Sigh.

I am happy when any conference team wins their bowl game. Especially against the SEC!!! Congrats Wisconsin. Also, great finish by Sparty!

If you travel anywhere, you will find that the self-proclaimed title is not looked upon as anything more that unfounded bragging. plus, great fans live up to it. win or lose. we fail in that regard.

We really need to change this. It no longer represents how our fans react to losing. I was in Madison the first time and Indy for the Championship and saw no such display of sportsmanship. Read the posts here...it's all negative.

USC could have hung 100 on us if they eliminated their dumb penalties. Hard to agree that this game was truly close despite the score.

I stand by my opinion. We suck as a fanbase. We are all talk, but when things get tough...we bail...I am talking to all the hyper-critical, know-it-all "best fans". You know who you are. You are the ones who will be butthurt by this post.

No support, just criticism. We were never out of this game. yet, reading this forum, you would think we lost 200-17. Jesus. Grow up.

And QUIT talking about class and the crap about cheering for the victors...that only happens in your dreams.

Don't agree with this at all. A fan never cheers against their team.

Read the past 20 pages...plenty of "fans" did. I didnt and mever will.

You know what, it was a good game, yeah we could have won but the effort was there all throughout. Good game USC, you deserved the W today

Did the Husker bandwagon crash and I missed it? We are only down one score!

We will be relevant when other fans feel we are, not when Nebraska fan feels we are.

 

Most fans think we did the right thing by firing the past coach, but thought we did it three years too late.

 

Relevant and embarrassment do not mean the same thing.

 

Being less of one may make us more of the other.
