I can one better you - circa 1998 - crouch quits the team and drives back to omaha to pout after Bobby Newcombe was named the starter - solich had to drive to Omaha and meet with crouch and his high school coach to get him back on the team - QUITTING is in his blood - My Dad knew crouch's Dad when they were younger and his Dad was little bitch too. My Dad and his friends have a joke that if they were told that crouch's dad would have a son that would be the starting QB for NEBRASKA and win the Heisman Trophy - They would have bet a million against it.

For some reason this doesn't surprise me thanks for the info though just learned something new about Crouch today!!!

I think this system will help the NCAA greatly.....now people can complain about this on top of the terrible calls!!!!

We'll find out in about 3 years hopfully how good his class really was. He does have alot of blue chippers in there!!! I just hope they suck next year!!!

Benard, it's a sea of enlightenment every time you grace us with your knowledge of collegiate football. I suggest that you write a book entitled "Callahan sucks, Solich rocks!". i think it would be about a page long...if that.

I do think that no one in the north should stand in our way IMO. We should be alot better next year considering we have another year under our belt with the WCO so I think Taylor will even have a better handle on things and hopefully put some points on the board so our young backup can get some snaps in so he's ready when he takes over.

I hope if he does decide to do it then he takes it seriously and sticks with it this time. He has to prove to someone why he was given that heisman trophy!!!

Like a few people said the Alamo Bowl definately helped us out in the end with some recruits. I figured we would get a few guys with the way we finished at the end of the year!!!

NU has played teams like this in the past. I don't see the reason to get bent out of shape with it now. Hell, we play USC and Texas next year and I think we will all be glad to have some teams like this on the schedule. Like other have said, other teams schedule patsies as well.

Agreed. Although, I am a Green Bay fan, and I only wish I could blame this last season on the refs.

It's nice to get some respect from someone because everyone that finds out that I am a Nebraska fan immediately gives me a dirty look. Unless they are a fellow Nebraska fan and I'm starting to come into contact with more and more of them here in Iowa.

Well if you are told that you have to do it then you really have no choice because it's either do it or it's your job.

I really don't even see the big deal in scalping the tickets! If someone wants to sell their tickets and let someone else enjoy the game so be it. I'm a cop and don't see the big deal in it at all.

I looked on there today and seen we were ranked 28th!!! It makes no sense it just seems like sometimes everyone is against us!!!

Welcome FatTire I've been a member of this board since November and have had very good discussions and haven't run into anyone (as of yet) that was a "jerk" the mods definately stay on top of things and I have learned alot from joining this board. Enjoy your time here!!!

Yes I will say that ISU did play a good game in Lincoln and if the QB would have put his pass where he intended it to go we would have lost that game. Having said that I still believe that NU will go into Ames and win. ISU tends to choke in big situations and that has been proven for the last few years. IMO they will feel that once again next year against NU but I still won't take away from them that they are a up and coming team.

I'll watch the games no matter who they are playing! Wheather it's Ball State or USC! You gotta show your support still because that is what this program is all about.
