lmao .. I think you realize you're mistaken.  And also that a much longer list would be former players who are now coaches.

They need you over at somethingawful.com  chuckleshuffle

I'm not mistaken because I realized that you have no idea what you're talking about and you just confirmed it. Anyone that thinks that Suh can just walk in and coach defense kinda speaks for themselves on how much they "know"

I guess I get your stance, but has Trev announced what values are to be aligned with?  There’s plenty to suggest Frost also had some off the field indiscretions.  Plus the NCAA infraction.  And Trev still gave him another chance.
I hadn’t heard of Urban kicking a player.  Did that get confirmed?

I’m not advocating UM either way, but we aren’t in search of a Sunday school teacher.  I wouldn’t discount anyone at this point.

The kicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars alledges he was kicked by U.M. not sure if that was verified by an uninvolved 3rd party though.

So you have list of good coaches who were not "past successful players?"

Define your level of success? Dabo Sweeney and Nick Saban both "played" football but weren't stand out players but are amazing National Championship winning coaches. Just because someone can play football and become hall of fame players don't mean they can coach. Mike Singletary was a terrible head coach but a Hall of Fame player.

Besides his terrible NFL stint the dude has won everywhere he's been and there's no questioning that. I'm willing to bet he'd consider it cause what better way to restablish yourself as one of the best coaches ever in college football but to come in and save a blue blood program like Nebraska? I just don't see him riding off into the sunset as a coach ending it the way it ended in Jacksonville. He's won in the SEC and the B1G so he knows what it takes. Slimeball yes, huge fan no, but we need wins and it's what it is.
