  1. The guy sitting next to me at the Fresno game got kicked out. I was standing for the opening drive (as most people around me were also), he yelled at me to sit down, I told him no, he shoved me hard, we got into an argument, someone called the police, he went bye bye. I couldn't believe it.

  2. The Greeley County Sheriff confirmed someone broke into the home of Jordan Foltz, punter Sam Foltz' brother, while Jordan and his family were at the Husker game Saturday. Sam Foltz died in a car accident a few months ago, and the game was dedicated to his memory.

The sheriff says the thieves stole a TV and tools out of Jordan's jeep, with a total loss of at least $1,400. It happened sometime after the Foltz family left for Lincoln around noon Saturday, and when they got back home after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Penn State plans to honor late head coach Joe Paterno prior to a game against Temple University in two weeks. According to the team’s promotional schedule, it will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Paterno’s first game coaching the Nittany Lions. Paterno has never been officially honored at the university’s Beaver Stadium since he was fired in 2011 amid the sexual-abuse scandal involving assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

“As a unit, we’re not confident enough yet because there are still areas [to work on],” defensive back Ugo Amadi said. “Some positions are not on the same page at times. At this critical time everyone has to be on the same page.”

“I think as a whole we weren’t very good,” he said about the scrimmage.

“We’ve got a long way to go to be a defense that’s going to be effective in this league,” he said about his defense’s chances in the Pac-12.

Hoke explained that there were breakdowns in every level of the defense, breakdowns he thought the coaching staff had fixed going into that day. He was wrong.

If the Oregon defense doesn’t get it together during these first two games as it preps for the rest of its grinding schedule, the Ducks could be dealt a result that's -- to use Helfrich’s terminology -- irreparable for its playoff hopes.

  5. Safe pick by Sam. Talent alone doesn't mean much, if you can't run the new system.

Safe pick. I "think" we can win the west this year.

Still think 2018 is Riley's big year, as coach of the Huskers.

    GBR!!!

I hope 2018 is our year but not the greatest schedule...

"The goal of this project was to create one space where we could utilize the most state-of-the-art technology to improve student-athlete wellness and emphasize our commitment to the health and safety of our student-athletes," said Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens. "Thanks to the incredible generosity of Phil and Penny Knight, we now have a world-class facility that is going to take the student-athlete experience at the University of Oregon to a level not previously seen anywhere on the collegiate level."
