  1. Husker_08.. No I actually bought mine through stubhub.
  2. Do we know of the University put this out. I didn't mind it and thought that it might look like a slam to Bo. But then again, it didn't say anything that wasn't fact and sometimes the truth hurts. I like Riley, I like the new attitude he brings. He seems like a class act that is well respected. I really hope he can win games because I would like to see him around for awhile. He's 62yrs old so I also am curious how long he would coach for. I still wish they would have brought Scott Frost in and made him the highest paid OC and let he and Riley know that Frost was there to be groomed as the next HC.. However I know Frost will probably get HC offers sooner rather than later, and probably wouldn't want to wait the 5-6 years under Riley..
  3. Thanks for everyones input. I was looking as well and wondering if south of I-80 (hwy 6 and 34) wouldn't be bad of a drive either. I love the idea of the small town and miles of cornfields. For you the drive these a lot I'm sure you think I'm crazy for wanting to even do this. But for my sake, can you tell me what would be more of a, small town, feeling of being in the middle of fields experience would be.. HWY 30, or 6 and 34? Maybe both? We will be taking I80 into N. Platte and staying there a night, then taking the "scenic" drive the next day into Lincoln. Thanks again for indulging me here.
  4. I was shocked a bit by Bo's firing at first, but it did make sense. He couldn't recruit to save his life, and he couldn't win those big games. And as a Nebraska fan, sure 10 wins a season is nice as it's better than losing, but I've been a fan long enough to not just accept 10 wins. I want a championship, I want a top 5 ranked team competing for a possible championship. I want to win the BIG game. The jury will be out all year on Riley and from what I can tell, I think he has done a great job at recruiting already. The next couple seasons I think we will start to see what he's really capable of in the talent that he's bringing into the team. BYU isn't the toughest team out there, but I think it's a great test and a good win against them will put to ease some of the anxiety I have with what Riley does with this team. I like his openness, I like his style. We are going from a hard nose, to a guy that knows you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I would love to know the opinion of the players and what they think of him. Anyone have any player insight on how they feel towards Riley and the new coaching staff?
  5. The intrigue of taking 30 was to be able to hit the small towns along the way. I realize it doesn't go all the way into Lincoln. but I figured if I were on 80 the whole time, I would never really get off of it to stop and enjoy that part of the country. I know it's an odd desire to make this drive.
  6. Thank you for the link.. Good info
  7. Ha.. thank you.. I should have mentioned I'm not a drinker..
  8. All, I'm traveling from Utah to Nebraska via a road trip along I-80 and taking Lincoln Highway 30 (because I wanted to see more of the country side). I was hoping to get any advice on going to my first game to see Nebraska. I've been a fan my entire life and was able to convince my wife to do a road trip with me to see the home opener vs. BYU. What to see, what to avoid, how early to get to the game (would like to experience the tail gating and everything involved with it) Also any thing to see during the road trip that would be fun. (Don't know why, but I have a love for the open space and idea of seeing miles and miles of just field).. Stopping in North Platte and then taking highway 30 into Lincoln. Thanks in advance
