Frost cares about this team, this program and this state.  Maybe too much.  Its hard to please people when reality is were not living in the 90's anymore, and we are not football royality anymore.

This was a good post for a pelini team, not a team that's gonna struggle to win 3 games

    Hello Jessicafanwini

I was going to say it might be easier to reconstitute the Big8 of the 80s.  And since in this hypothetical it is unfortunately a Big Seven without Oklahoma; add 3 programs from areas in which you want to recruit.  Such as Big7 + Cincy/TCU/Houston.

Lol I was actually iowanfornebraska lmao

Flugar's known as an Infotainer on the CR chats.  There are three of them that tweet out just about anything that will draw attention.

I have never understood the logic behind these articles.  Clemson has never had as much fiscal revenue as Alabama nor the northern blue bloods that the Cacti beat resoundingly.  Also Disney owns the ACC (+much of ND's) media rights for a generation and no major conference moves happen without the Mouse's approval.  So a major CR move from the ACC teams is neither necessary nor feasible.

Yeah you were there back on the old Landthieves cr threads with me right? (I had a different username there) I thought I remembered Flugar being the "journalist" that just liked to throw out random cr theories because eventually one would stick and he could claim to be in the know

I must have missed a joke somewhere.  I still don't get what Mike Riley has to do with a Big XII team on our schedule next year.

Mike Riley told Bookie he'd want him to go to OU if he was his son

Dammit, these kids are weak because they aren't considering how us entitled fans are disappointed by them not doing what we want to be able to dictate to them to do.

Obviously them jumping through all kinds of hoops for nine months while not being able to see family, hang out with friends and having their entire lives turned upside down means nothing compare to making a decision to take a break like dozens of other teams are doing.

This is one of those posts I wish I could give multiple +1's to

Ya ... That is our point.  91 plays is a lot of plays ... led to 501 yards with 30 first downs.  There errors caused them to only score 23 points and to lose.  Basically, they did with us what we gave to NW.  If you are thinking we should have won that game ... Then perhaps one could conclude that Penn State could have [if not should have] won that game.

Much improvement needed.  Better to win and "correct" ... But D has much to improve if this is "improvement".  They seemed to have their way in the second half ... That is all that is being implied.

There is no moral victory in comparing the points verses OSU for me.

I'm not anointing the defense as back, but the offense had just as much to do with them getting back into the game as the young guys making young guys mistakes. 4 of 5 drives in the 2nd half were either 3 or 4 offensive plays then a punt. Thats awful when the opponent is trying to play power football

Agree.   100%.  PSU moved the ball at will in the second half.  Other than the late red zone stands, there wasn’t much to like after halftime.

You guys realize psu ran 91 plays right? And we still managed to hold them to less points than Ohio State did

I certainly can’t speak for every play, but I’m positive I saw Luke scan a couple times.

I swear AM knows where he wants to go before the snap unless he scrambles

There were a few times look would be in the pocket forever and then just dump it off to Mills, so he was definitely scanning on a few plays. Other plays, like his int at the goal line, it felt like that was the only receiver in the play that was designed for him to look at. While that throw was terrible, a single crossing route passing play 3 yards from the end zone where there was lot of traffic is more on the coaches. Outside passing plays and edge rushing was working. The coaches needed to put the team in a better position to succeed than with "simple read" plays like that

Mods-If we start a thread about a specific player, can you make it so it has to read NOT INJURED Ronald Thompkins.  That was I don't see the title and sh!t myself prior to opening.  Thanks in advance.

Or say something like "positive vibes Ronald Thompkins". Though he put himself in the transfer portal

Listening to 1620, reading this board as well as FB and Twitter, I have an unpopular opinion.

just everyone shut it.  Why do we think we would be allowed to play outside of the conference? We knew it was conference only since July and sure the rug was pulled out after, but geez get mad over things that you can control.

    try to stay sane.

We are fans. We literally cannot control any aspect of they games we fanaticize over. This is what we do.

    So...

If they've been above 20% for two weeks and 15% for a month, and they're at 27% now...

Why did they play Illinois? Shouldn't they have shut down for that game, too?

By the sounds of things, Wisconsin is gonna come out of this looking reeaaally bad.

  12. Remember when Eichorst thought the children of the corn Big ten hype video (players running through a cornfield and making a seance circle) was too dark and made them change it something else? My how things change lmaoooo

So switching from 3-4 to 4-3 while losing 10 guys on your guys on defense (6 to draft) is easy to overcome?  Also having no practice time.

This excuse has already been refuted successfully

Lsu switched from the 34 to the 43.  They've barely had any time to practice a new SCHEME.  They lost 6 great defensive players to the draft last year.  Think of it this way, their defense from one year has had more players drafted in the NFL than Nebraska has had in the past four years

They also recruit wayyyy better than we do too

Reading Sooner football message boards.  Haven't seen anything this entertaining since the Callahan days on Husker Board.

I was on their boards as soon as the cyclones returned the kick back to the 15. Got a head start checking out that train wreck lol
