  1. I'm literally sick to my stomach sometimes. Living in central Nebraska all I hear is people claiming they are voting for him because they don't want hillary.

Never do I hear someone talking about how great he is.

If you listen real close, he will tell you how great he is. Everytime he opens his mouth.

  2. I just heard a quick interview w/Riley, and he said he was most touched to have heard from Jim Mora from UCLA. They lost a WR the week prior to playing us (in Lincoln) in 2013 and the family of Nick Pasquale was so touched with all the Husker fans did to honor their son they wanted to reach out to the Foltz's.

I didn't remember this (I live out of state) but found this recap, not surprised but I'm proud to be a Husker.

  3. Reality is, probably 60% of NFLers smoke. Despite the rhetoric, testing is really light and easy to beat. But if you get caught once, you start getting tested on the regular so you pop a lot. I get that he should shape up and not use when he's on the radar, but it's pretty absurd that pot use carries such a heavy penalty.

You can claim he has character flaws or addiction or mental illness because he can't stop, but regardless of his reason, his use of a relatively harmless drug should not be costing him millions. Period, full stop.

CM do we know he's testing positive for pot only?

The irony of this one ... (not to mention the spelling errors)

I wondered aloud earlier if he was trying to appeal to the "He misspells words on social media, JUST LIKE ME!!" vote.

Guess he's got to find a way to get those swing states. Funny part is, the people he "wants" to appeal to don't know these are misspelled.

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow to see what he does.

  5. He's going off the rails. Seriously.

Of course he's done this before. But his campaign seems to always climb out of the ditch and get back on its crooked rails.

Someone needs to bash his campaign over the head and bury it in a cornfield, still breathing, Casino style.

You'd think somebody in the inner sanctum of his campaign would just take his phone and computer access away from him unless he's got someone sitting with him approving the post. He'd at least limit his stupid comments to press conferences and interviews. The Twitter posts come a mile a minute and they're proving he is crazy and unhinged.

  6.

But officials with Freedom Works, the Koch's political arm, indicated that they requested no meeting. "We are not engaging in the presidential," James Davis, spokesman for Freedom Partners, said.

Trump's tweet comes after Politico reported Friday that Trump's finance team requested a meeting but that the request was denied by the Koch organization.

  7. I seriously think he believes the lies he tells - it's a sickness. Why are people ok with this bs?

I can say, at least SNL will be fun when it comes back on. You don't even have to write sketches, simply reenact what he's done through the week. Or just pick a day.

  8. I wonder too if it doesn't put a little bit of appropriate pressure on the kids that have offers already ... maybe it gets them to commit if they're pretty sure they're going to vs. dragging it out.

I agree - we gotta get Calvin back and quick, and get Lewis on board with a visit by himself to get all sorts of love and attention.

  9.

Trump laying groundwork to get out of the debates?

This is from Josh Marshall, editor of talking points memo. First tweet below, but then he goes on for 12 more, so they are all stitched together:

Apropos of this I've long thought there was a decent chance Trump wouldn't show for the debates. What I cldnt figure out was how he'd pull it off. You can see already that he has a need to assert dominance over the process, create conflict and drama. Yet I think there's a decent chance he'll try to skip out on the whole thing. But how without seeming like a coward? I think it will go like this. Next month Trump will start complaining that the process is rigged because Stein and Johnson aren't allowed in. They can be if they get to 15% in the polls. That seems unlikely for Johnson, impossible for Stein. But Trump will say that's not fair and he won't participate in a rigged process. Trump know he's better in a multi person debate. Because aren't really debate like a one on one is. He also knows that Stein wld likely join him tag teaming Clinton. But the debate commission has had these rules for years and won't be inclined bend them. Clinton won't agree because it amounts to being bullied and rule breaking and disadvantages her. So you can easily see a chain of events where the debates simply never happen but Trump has built an argument abt a "rigged" system that will pass the laugh test with many supporters. I think he'd prefer a spectacle or a fight, an assertion of dominance where he debates solely on his terms or ideally not at all. I'm not sure this scenario is more likely than not. But I think he wld prefer not to debate and if he tries to get out of it this will be his strategy.

I think that is indeed the case - he knows he won't be able to hide with name calling one on one, and honestly, Hillary will crush him when any question is asked that requires content and information in a response - so all of them. I can't wait.

  10. Saw that and agree with almost every word.

Yup. I'm anxious to see what the outcome of Harry Reids suggestion that Trump can not be trusted with Intelligence Briefings. That's gonna gain some momentum on both sides I think - there's no way he can keep his mouth shut or stop himself from getting on Twitter to share information.

  11. So I guess aTm has some pretty dumb coaches eh. Good. The more they and UTerus fail the more NU can grab a few quality players from Texas. Uterus has finally hit stride with a solid upgrade in recruiting but I'm far from convinced that Charlie and his ?? remake of a formerly poor staff will do well enough to surpass even Bo, which would get Charlie fired. He's out in 1-5 years IMO...just depends on how many 8 and 9 win years he can get and how long uterus wants to tolerate them.

The jokes were sort of funny, IMO.

I know you are trying to say UT'ers, but I am laughing pretty hard at the fact you keep mentioning uterus.

  12. Trump says he's "taking gloves off" after "being attacked" at convention.

Good luck getting moderates and independents to vote for you that way. This is basically exactly what Clinton said about how easily provoked he is.

Those teeny, tiny, itty, bitty, widdle gloves?

  13. You read those articles right? One is from a conservative blogger, the other is from a white collar criminal who seems to have a sociology degree and has written about NPD, but if you give him credibility, then you must also appreciate his views on Trump: http://beforeitsnews.com/politics/2016/03/donald-trump-narcissistic-personality-disorder-sam-vaknin-interview-expanded-2784621.html

At the bottom of the article there are links to a boat load of articles, many from reputable publications like Psychology Today that I'll not bother to post here but are worthy of a read, more so (imo) than a blogger's view (one who also has written stories called "Sexy Sports" and "Parking Among The Liberals").

I found this definition of a medical condition interesting - it's a very real thing, and one I think we're witnessing on a national level right now.

DSM-5 criteria for narcissistic personality disorder include these features:

    • Having an exaggerated sense of self-importance
    • Expecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
    • Exaggerating your achievements and talents
    • Being preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
    • Believing that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special people
    • Requiring constant admiration
    • Having a sense of entitlement
    • Expecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectations
    • Taking advantage of others to get what you want
    • Having an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
    • Being envious of others and believing others envy you
    • Behaving in an arrogant or haughty manner

Interesting find. In looking at all the bullets, I think it could apply to our current POTUS as well as the 2 major party candidates running right now.

    That's a matter of opinion ...

NM is at it again. Saving the world, one internet post at a time.

The classic "you don't agree with me so it's just an opinion"

You literally said that NPD is a "very real thing" and then someone says that the current president and 2 candidates have some of these characteristics and you're all of a sudden backtracking and calling it subjective.

    :laughpound

Aw, I didn't realize my posts had such an impact on you Coach! Hopefully I cleared things up with my responses, I should have said I disagree with bnl, and there are some additional details on the disorder vs. just being narcissistic.
