Before concerning yourself with the size of Frost's chaw I'd probably wait and see what Rhule does.

Nebraska is not an easy gig.

    Now party on Wayne.

Rhule is more professional than Frost. Period. That much is already clear.

And frankly anything Rhule does or doesn't do has absolutely zero bearing on Frosts lack of professionalism.

Short answer is because he went to Nebraska.

Long answer is that he has been a coach/analyst at some impressive places for a 38 year old - Raiders, Redskins, Panthers, Rams in the NFL.  Alabama and LSU in CFB.

While this is true his results as an actual coach haven't been great imo. His lone year as OC for LSU they were bad on offense. Derek Carr is the best QB he has coached as an actual QB coach and the year he coached him was a bad year for Carr. Not super enthused about Peetz myself but he has been around some good coaches and he is young. Time will tell I suppose.

I actually have a similar concern.  It's not that Mickey is pushing for locker room division or being unprofessional.  It's more of the kids not fully buying into who the head man in charge is.

This is big time overblown imo. If Mickey stays he will be bought in to the new HC and if the players want to be a part of this team they will be too.

Why do people always go for the negative towards things?? It goes from grinding to automatically sleeping or towards that!!! Sounds to be like slander. Some of you guys are flat out wrong. Slander- Make false and damaging statements about someone.

You were the one who mentioned pulling tail first man. YOU made that assumption first and that is the reason this whole conversation started in the first place.

Serious question, what does him grinding on co eds /being dishonest in your marriage have in correlation of football games.

Just don't think the comment 'if he can get tail at 58 grind away' is appropriate considering he is married. But thats just me. Frankly him physically assualting his players is more concerning to me as a football coach.

They have excellent NIL support, though. They payed $30 million for their last recruiting class, which was the number one class. You would think he would be able to win something with that.

So that #1 class are all freshman then. You need at least a few of those types of classes back to back

Hard working 3-4 star level guys.  The 5 star guys can be fine but seem often to be a little flaky and full of themselves.

    GBR!

Is that why they get AA status, go to the NFL and stay in the NFL at a higher clip than 3 and 4 star guys? Obviously they can't hold a candle to the 2 star and under crowd but pretty sure 5 stars actually have a pretty high success rate when you actually look at the numbers

the university threw away 7 million to fire frost 3 weeks early....

they have the money to get anyone. the fans should not accept a mid tier coach...

i don't think leipold, arnada, or campbell are guys we should be looking at if we are serious about being a contender...

most would agree nebraska is still the best job available right now, and we've had more time than anyone to interview coaches... we should get the best coach available.

auburn and a&m seem to be the only other 2 jobs that might come available that might be considered better than nebraska.

and with a 3 month head start we should be able to beat out those schools for a coach. the expectations  are also much lower at nebraska than at auburn or a&m right now.

Who is your suggestion? Urban Meyer?

    BREAKING NEWS

Just heard.... per local Dallas sport radio, former Cowboy Deion Sanders has accepted the Nebraska Head Coaching job.  Taking over end of season.

Don't hate the messenger.  News reported by insider.  No further details at the moment.

I am skeptical as everyone, but....

Must have really just heard because there is zilch about this on the internet and something tells me news like that would be everywhere pretty quickly

I just feel like it will end up like last year.  We are the better team but won't show up to play and their coach strikes me as someone who really likes handing it to Nebraska.

I mean I don't trust our team enough to say we won't get beaten badly but I don't think they will whip Minny and Michigan too.

PU's 1 and 2 RB's are most likely out and their best defensive back is out.  I've heard they aren't healthy along their O-line.  I know the Huskers aren't great but damn everyone is acting like Purdue is Ohio St west.  Are they going to score some points? yes.  Are they unbeatable? No.  I hate Purdue and I refuse to believe we are going there to lose.   I think we beat PU, Wisc and Iowa.  Illinois will probably beat the brakes off us as well as Minn and Mich

Illinois lost to Indiana. I know they have looked good but I don't think they are so good we can say with confidence they are gonna beat the breaks off of Minn, Mich or even us for that matter.

  13. @Red Silk Smoking Jacket I do understand your point to a degree but you have to remember since firing Pelini we have gone 6-7, 9-4, 4-8, 4-8, 5-7, 3-5, 3-9 and were staring down the barrel of a 2 win season in 2022. That is really really bad.

Maybe just about anybody could win 9 a year in Lincoln and we really did just make 2 all time bad hires but I think at this point winning 4 of the next 7 would be pretty impressive given the state of the program.

Again, I could be wrong and it might be way easier than I think but it seems like a tall task for the rest of this season. Anyone who can accomplish it should be on our radar.

So, just trying to keep up here...our new bar is a coach that can get a team to a bowl game? So, like 80 coaches will be acceptable?

Getting this current Nebraska squad to a bowl game isn't the same as getting any ole team to a bowl game though. You really think over half the coaches in FBS could take over the program after GS and still take us bowling? Really? Because if you do you may be...well lets just leave it at that.
