This game is huge for making a bowl this season. The math just gets so hard going forward if we drop this. Love that the coaches are coaching aggressive for it.

Expected a closer game today but it is what it is and I’m not worried about it.
On the road against Illinois looms large. In the preseason, I figured 2-4 at the bye week would have been absolute worst case scenario. But all things considered, 3-3 would be a very reasonable place to be and would give us more margin for error to make a bowl game. Illinois looks awful this year, can’t drop this one.

Refs have hooked it up this week which means we are in for a terrible time next week.

I think he has his mouth piece in that hand.

Fair points, but I do think Kaelin, Nelson, Flynt, etc are all fully locked in. Lacy sees immediate playing time here. Just have to continue to show him what this offense can be with an RB like him in it.

Recruiting is always fluid and things can change quickly but it feels like this ‘24 class is really close to each other and all locked in. McGahee is the only one I feel a bit shaky about in terms of a possible decommitment/flip.

Forgot about this.

Wiltfong CB to Texas. Always figured we were a bit of a long shot here but a little surprised at Texas over Oklahoma.

Georgia Southern is losing 14-28 despite their QB throwing 5 interceptions and fumbling once.

Sounds like Purdy is also pretty banged up at this point.

Damn, saw a tweet that he had to come out of the game but was hoping it wasn’t too serious.

Rhule noted that NIU’s DLine is their strength and might be the best we’ve faced so far. OLine is going to need to come to play.

Lenhardt comes in and makes more plays in one game than Robinson has his entire career.
I know there’s a general appreciation for being bulky in all fanbases but I think it was pretty clear that Lenhardt moved so much better and more fluid at 6’3” 250lbs than Ty at 6’6” 310lbs.

10 feels so low that it scares me to bet it.

Two Power 5 road games to start the year is tough. Colorado last November was not a Power 5 team, they are now.
I felt we were tough until we got tired.
The mistakes just add up to be too much. The margins are thin already.

Feels like every week the West division teams are hilariously stupid and we never take advantage. Nice to dominate a team like this finally.
