NM11046 , where is the thread about Holmes ? Can't find it anywhere

I just searched UCLA's student directory and no student there by that name.... who knows , but damnit give me my moment... at least for a few minutes Negative Nancy haha

I got information that as of today Darnay Holmes is now listed on the UNL student directory. I checked it out myself and he is. Any thoughts ?!!!!!!

I think Nebraska needs to start recruiting and taking a harder look in state. It is a slap in the face to our kids who grew up in this state watching the big red and then just because they live here they more than likely only have the opportunity to walk on. Foltz was just one example of the many who had to walk on and prove themselves first before getting a scholarship. They start the program running up hill from day one. Plenty of talent in this state would chose playing at Memorial Stadium over anywhere else. Their hometown Husker fans, their family Husker fans, these kids wouldn't rather play anywhere else. A kid from my hometown, Kyle Emanuel, goes to North Dakota State, wins four rings, and starts for the SAN Diego Chargers now. But he grew up in a town of 5,000 people and never had the opportunity to get noticed on the D1 level. I think multiple "free" camps should be had where talented kids in this state get invited to show what they got. Too much talent in this state is considered lower quality just because our coaches tend to think it is too good to be true to have such talent so close and have a kid so willing to be a Husker. They want what they can't have , so if there is someone With equal talent who has tons of notoriety and has multiple offers, our staff jumps on board the ship thinking they must be a gift from god because they have multiple offers.

I think everyone has their jollies from 150 pound gebbia committing, that they are overlooking POB and the smarts and arm he brings to the table.

I really really don't want another freshman starting QB.

 

Then if he isn't fantastic, for the next three years you have people saying, yeah....but he's the starter because of experience.

 

We need to get to a point where we have 3-4 good QBs in the system learning and developing knowing they have a real shot at starting their junior and senior years.

The bold needs to be true at 80% of the positions - however that doesn't happen overnight

But let's be honest here. If Lee starts POB will jump ship. He already wasn't happy when he found out Lee was joining the team. Kids went from being the studs in high school to expecting the same in college. They want to come in and start, with possibly accepting a redshirt freshman year. They don't want to play their Jr and Sr years only. I'm afraid if we try to squeeze a couple years out of Lee whom statistically is similar to Tommy, then the others leave the program and we are back to square one. Scary thought....

247 sports said DE Robert Beal is to visit along with Darrian Felix and Deommodore Lenoir in January . Any thoughts on if this is true and thoughts on these guys?

Any thoughts on 247 sports saying deommondore lenoir is coming for an official visit now January 20th?

Penn State also has a 2017 class currently consisting of 10 four star recruits. With an impressive class on its way to the program I would definitely say they have much greater odds than us next year.
