    Hopefully it means something.

Just like I assume there are a pretty good amount of red and Nebraska fans attending UCF games, I'd like to see Nebraska fans sporting UCF gear this year vs Iowa in the last home game of the season.

I read this and went on Amazon and bought a UCF hoodie! Can't wait to sport this.

This is a husker message board , not Fox News. Your political correctness comment which made zero sense at all. Please explain why political correctness has effected our program and why it is the downfall of the Riley era. Please , I would love to hear this....

I meant this to go to the original guy who posted , not you St. Paul husker

    Lose.  Not loose

It took Tom Osborne exactly 1 year to create his winning program

Pelini had 7 years to win a conference championship and not be an a hole.  He failed at both

Political correctness is not the problem.

Watching sports center this morning and they were talking about Miami returning to the top.  They talked a lot about the past culture of Miami.  The swag, the hard physical style of play and the championships.....They talked about Miami being down for years and finally appear to have rounded the corner with Richts.  They talked about him being a former Cane and understanding the culture.  Understood what they needed to do to become on top again.

They interviewed Jimmy Johnson and asked if Miami was back.  He simply replied, they're not back until they're winning championships.  That's a winners mentality.  That's the Miami culture.  It used to be ours until Cally IMHO.

Their path seems similar to ours.  A once dominant program that has met hard times.  Multiple coaches with the same results....

Richt comes in and in year 2, they're top 10, undefeated and should win their division and play Clemson for the ACC.....

Miami went out and went back to what they know and what they were.  A Miami kid who was part of the culture, good, bad and ugly.

Seems  like NU has the opportunity to do the same in Frost.....

mods, feel free to merge if needed.  Just thought ESPN game day could've been talking about NU (hopefully they will be in year 2)

Just like in year two when Riley got us in the top ten ? Haha ;)

  5. I learned that I would rather paint my wife's sewing room than watch husker football. My wife has been begging me to paint her sewing room for a solid six months. After the sh!t show of a first half, I voluntarily went and painted the room, and enjoyed it so much more than watching husker football. And I hate painting.....

Alright.  Who is the one selling "Frost 18 Make Nebraska Great Again" t shirts on the Facebook marketplace?

Exactly why we have troubles getting recruits to come to this University and state. Please don't live up to the "Hicks and Cornfields is all Nebraska has to offer" stereotype.

    DING!DING!DING!

    We have a winner.

Nebraska, demographically, is 86% white. Pale skin washes out the black gear.  Even if we got the university involved and handed out free shirts, we'd still have a half washed-out stadium.  No matter what we do, we'll never have the look we're interested in.

That b.s.  Iowa Hawkeyes do a b******* amazingly and you are telling me there is way more black peoples in Iowa than in Nebraska? Umm... no.

  8. Is it just me or does it piss others off that Riley's wife is around during the press conferences post game, etc. When we hired him he was for real when he said this was one last adventure for him and his wife. I wonder if she stays with him in his hotel room during away games. I mean, the dude could benefit from being football focused only. I don't like how our program and team have been treated like an adventure. It really shows the soft mindset and gee golly attitude he consistently shows in practice, during games on the sidelines, the press conferences, etc. and it has been passed onto our players. You're a professional, you don't need your wife holding your hand prior to and after a job obligation press conference.

Im pretty sure we have.  TO is the "secret" in the secret sauce that will get Frost here.  If Frost wants to come....

I'd like to think that Frost wants to be here as much as people want him here.

People talk about NU firing coaches too often or with 9 win seasons....McElwain is let go in year 3....After winning the East the previous 2 years and going 10-4 and 9-4.....This year he is 3-4 with some blowout losses.  Talk about un realistic expectations....I think NU would give Frost more time and a longer lead than that.  Riley was 5-7, 9-4, and now 4-4 with no division wins....and consistent blowouts last year and this.....

"Im pretty sure we have.  TO is the "secret" in the secret sauce that will get Frost here.  If Frost wants to come...."

what?!! Haha ... if Frost "wants to come", then TO shouldn't be needed. And if TO is needed and is the secret sauce to luckily landing him, then that would mean Frost isn't as interested as everyone on here would like to think he is. This FROST BEING NEBRASKA's SAVING GRACE is causing people to say some crazy ridiculous stuff that doesn't make sense what so ever.

  10. I'm not a Riley fan and have felt embarrassed this year as well by our fundamentals and lack of coaching and a game plan etc. But this crap is so dumb. I mean really, we have a toxic culture? I could come up with so many worse things to happen to a program and you say we have currently have a toxic culture? That whole post was way over dramatic. "My beloved huskers", "toxic culture", "hanging on by the skin of its teeth",  You say Riley starts players without putting in any work, but yet if he were to have a stud five star recruit who he didn't play you would be complaining he isn't playing them. I think the coaches see the effort in practice on the daily, more so than you. "EVERY time this team fails, Mike lets it be known it is the players fault and lack of talent." Really, go listen to some press conferences and tell me he hasn't taken ownership for some things. This thread is stupid and you sound like a lying whining baby who is over dramatic. Worry more about the legacy and culture of our fan base.

UCF has a great passing game......but they ran today against Navy.....was this a bid by Frost for the hearts and minds of the Nebraska fans?

Haha ... you really think this is why he ran the ball? Wow some fans are just delusional at this point to try and find any reason to justify why they believe Frost's dream job is Nebraska. Get real.

I found 11 kids from 2016 in that list, 6 from 2015, 6 from 2014. If we keep those kids, we are much better. But I also think there are some very good kids that haven't completely developed enough to be highly recruited. That is where a network can help identify kids with potential. Give those kids 3 years in the NU weight room, and some of them will be contributors.

Kyle Emanuel from Schuyler, Ne who graduated in 2008 and won four championships with North Dakota State as a DE and now plays NFL for the Chargers. NDSU career record holder with 69 tackles for loss and tied the career mark of 41 sacks...Finished his career sixth in FCS history and fourth in Missouri Valley Football Conference history with 35.5 career sacks…Played in all 61 career games including 49 starts...The Bison went 58-3 in his career with four conference championships and four NCAA national titles.

There is plenty of kids like this that are from small towns and get overlooked and don't go to DI colleges.
