    Michighan versus Nebrasks 2018.

Nebraska: 39 yards rushing, 93 yards passing. 132 yards total. Didn't score untuil 5:23 left in the 3rd quarter.

    I call that stopped.

I believe weather conditions helped both defenses a lot that game. Was really hard to pass the ball and both defenses were able to take advantage if it. Otherwise there probably would have been a lot more scoring from both teams imo.

Yeah, I was going to mention it's probably more of a B grade by itself. He is fairly high ranked but hasn't had the time to really learn all the little things about playing the position. But I went with A when considering other factors.

I like McCaffrey, but still have QB at a B. He is still raw, but should get the time needed to develop. Others are A's. Offensive skill positions are the best part of the class imo.

I’m talking specifically about the people who say Mills is going to start. Unless they indicate they think Washington will be on the field a lot at the same time, this implies to me that they think Mills will start over Washington.

I think we’ll see Washington and Robinson on the field together a lot more often than Mills and either of them.

I would expect both to "start". I doubt many think that Mills is better than Washington. Washington could be special and will probably be moved around the field. Mills is more of a true RB and I think will play along side Washington. Just depends on the situation which many have already mentioned.

    1. Wandale - freshman
    2. Mills - juco
    3. Daniels - grad transfer

I think there will def be more than that, especially with the 4 game rule. Benhart, Pola-Gates, Henrich, Nance, Johnson, Nelson...

This is what I kinda see as well.  Good chance that Daniels and Mills start with Wandale getting some reps. Could definitely see Johnson, Chase, Nance all contributing depending on whether Williams, Woodyard, McQuitty, Miles Jones step up and stay healthy.

  5. This year's is exceptionally tough. Especially with sleepers. Thompkins and Houston could be great, but left them out because of injuries. If healthy both could be impact players. Mills could be our starting RB next year, but he only has two years left. Nance is fast, but looks raw imo. Fritz and/or Anderson may become better than Benhart, but need more development. McCaffrey may end up starting at some point, but will be behind Martinez for a while. Piper is more athletic than his ranking and really is a sleeper. However, going with Nelson as my sleeper because of his attitude and motor.

Due to Frost's offense going with quite a few skill position players in my top 6 as I think they will be  given opportunities early on.

    1. Wandale

    2. Johnson

    3. Benhart

    4. Chase

Kansas is a populace bursting at the seams with culture, and diversity. Haven't you been listening?!

LOL I'm in a good mood and having fun with the troll. Was going to point out his contradictory basketball statement from earlier but I am going to be up early. Gotta thank Tim Alum for some entertainment. I hope that Miles can pull it together and the team does well. Like Riley, Miles seems to be a good guy. Good news is I'm sure he's made millions and will get a new gig if canned.

Overlandpark maybe. No way you live in Kansas City and say the demographics are the same. That’s just silly talk.

Ever been around Omaha? KC is obviously a lot bigger than Omaha but they aren't that much different. Just depends on where you are at in each metro. Rest of KS is similar to rest of Nebraska. Not many big differences.

I'm comparing the states, and their demographics. Not their basketball programs. You used Nebraska's demographics as a reason they couldn't be a successful basketball program, when they are similar to Kansas'.  Maybe you should take a look at the demographic percentages. They're nearly identical.

I live in Kansas, not much different than Nebraska when it comes to demographics.

These might not be the "worst" calls in terms of blatant bad calls, but these were the costliest to NU in my opinion.

    1)  Penn State's 4th down catch in 1982 in Happy Valley.  He was a yard out of bounds when he caught the ball inside the 5 yard line.  The game-winning TD also came on a trapped pass.  Gave NU it's only loss that season, and Penn State won the National Championship.

    2)  Phantom clip call against Nebraska which wiped out a Corey Dixon punt return TD in the 1994 Orange Bowl against Florida State.

    3)  Refs missing William Floyd's fumble at the goal line in the same game as #2.  I guess it was a close call, but it gave FSU a TD, which they didn't earn.

This and the KSU face mask on Crouch that wasn't called.

This is correct. K state rivals guy told the HOL guys and then they reported it over on RSS. They haven't addressed this yet this morning but I'm sure they are working on getting more information.

Edit: my read on this is some information may have been spread about him that was not entirely true and the staff is doing their own due diligence and continuing to look into the situation. No clue what the red flag was that popped up though.

I was told there was an incident at a high school basketball game possibly involving alcohol and shoving a school employee. My source is really tuned in to these things, but hopefully he was misinformed. Glad to see the Huskers doing there own due diligence. I hope the whole thing is just being overblown.

The top nine are all in the top 12 of all-time wins (with Yale, Harvard and Penn).  The next two D-1 programs on that list are Tennessee and Georgia.  I was going to include Georgia with the other 9 but since Tennessee has more wins and more national titles, I included both of them as well.

Ditto, but then it's questionable whether either should be in there. At best at the bottom of the blue bloods. If you could only do a top ten who would you take out, Tennessee or Georgia? Looking at the top nine we have 4 Big Ten, 2 Big 12, and only 1 SEC, PAC, and independent. 0 ACC. Top 11 brings us to 3 SEC.

  12. Miami nearly lost two games that year, if memory serves me correctly. They were loaded with NFL talent, but that doesn't mean they were the best "team" ever. Best players and NFL talent, possibly. Best team? No, not even close.  Nebraska had no business being in that game, should have probably been Oregon.

Next year we will be better but not great. But the 2020 offense is going to be something special barring any major defections or injuries. I just hope the defense can get to a serviceable level by then.

This would be my expectation too. Only way we do great is if defense and special teams both surprise to the upside. At this point we do not have a proven pass rusher, which is why I haven't drunk too much koolaid yet.

IDK, he just didn't stand out like I would expect the #1 Juco RB to stand out. To be fair, his offensive line seemed to be severely overmatched against East Mississippi, so I can't hold him fully accountable. I probably went into it expecting too much which may be tainting my impression. But, imo, he didn't look big enough and it just struck me as surprising that he was the #1 Juco. And they leaned heavily on the running game because his QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. They mentioned something to the effect, on a pass play in the 3rd quarter, that it was only his 20th attempt (or completion) all year. I guess I got the immediate impression that if they run the ball 98% of time, of course their featured back may have some gawdy numbers. Like I said I probably shouldn't have chimed in because I don't know much about him or that level of play, but I was pretty disappointed.

BTW, I'm glad somebody finds it funny that I wasn't impressed with him in their natl championship game. I hope I don't know what I'm talking about if he's headed our way.

I watched that game too, but couldn't take much away from it. Their QB was horrible and the defense knew it. They loaded the box with 9-10 players. The safeties were playing with the linebacker's. The RB's didn't stand a chance to showcase their talent. Hard to tell how good he is from that game.
