If he loses to Rutgers this Saturday, I would think that would be the final nail on the coffin because Rutgers since joining the B1G have been atrocious
They have lost 14 straight conference games.

The firing of the AD suggests to me that the decision with Riley has already been made, just a question of when.

I'm so tired of seeing this question all the time.
Same here, my expectations are the same they've always been, unfortunately this program has fallen so far and gotten so mismanaged by the university that it makes it real hard for real fans of this team to stay positive.............Frustated.

Still goes back to the coaches. Coaches motivate, inspire and build in a belief system that creates the swag.
not seeing much swag coming from Riley on the sideline, just a bunch of ho hum gum chewing.

Even if this team were to somehow end up 8-4, I would still want Riley gone.

Running from the competitiveness of the Big Ten would be nothing more than an act of cowardice...not the message NU is looking to project.
Thank you

Ummmmm.......no. Start a new conference because you can't compete in the one your in ?. How about start competing with the big boys in this conference instead of jumping ship so Nebraska can look good again. Jeesh.

If we lose, I think every can agree that Riley would actual be on the hot seat. Not the fan reaction, but the bonafide WTH do we do now realization that this guy was the wrong hire. I thought the close game against ASU would light a fire, but it didn't. I truly think Oregon did. This includes the team and staff. Riley seemed pissed. (As pissed as he can be in the presser) I think NI gets pounded.
He did say the word "bad" a lot during the presser.

This is asinine. He led us back from down 28 to down 7 and driving with 2 minutes left. You can question his decisions on his INTs and he did not have a great game by any stretch but to say that game Saturday showed no leadership and that he couldn't motivate them is ignorant.
Agreed, he has played two games.......two

In all fairness, Diaco brought more pressure in the 2nd half, causing Herbert to rush throws. Plus the coverage was much tighter.
Yes, they did go into clock management a bit early, but the defense still stopped the run game. It's not like Oregon went out, knelt three times, and punted.
There's a bit of truth in both statements.
Disco Diaco should have been bringing pressure from the opening whistle.
