9 wins is, was, and will never be good enough at nebraska. Our last conference title was in 1999, all this "9 wins" talk is getting old, every true fan of Nebraska knows that in today's landscape of college football, 9 wins is not going to get us back to where we all want to be. Period.
P.S. pelini, not coaching here anymore.

The thought of Gebbia being in that situation at all this season is frightening

Gebbia isn't anymore of a runner than Lee is and they called his number in the spring game and he had a beautiful sprint out for his first TD in front of our fans. Great to keep the D on their toes .
There were also no blitzes in the spring game against a pretty soft looking defense. These guys are both very average QB's running wise at best. Also with Gebbia's frame the thought if him running around against even a decent defense is frightening.

Fill it, lol

Durability the issue here with his weight, bulk up some he'll be fine. Overall what I think we're seeing here is true depth at the position, remains to be seen but I've got a real good feeling about this group of qb's. Gbr

The spin move I loved.....the launch...not so much.
I will not miss that spin move.
That's the tradeoff and the biggest question for the season. Will having an accurate passer do enough to offset the so-so pass blocking?Just watched the BTN Nebraska vs. Oregon in 60. We keep hearing about how accuracy has vastly improved but man that will not take much. To be fair, if Tommy was any less mobile he would have gotten destroyed. That's worrisome.
That said, Armstrong wasn't good at stepping into the pocket, so it's possible he made the pass blocking look worse than it actually was. He tended to jog backwards which often made it easier for the DL to get close to him. Then he'd do his spin move and launch the ball into the air.
