  1. Ahem just want to put this out here for the sake of conversation... Solich is currently 7-2 about to be 8-2 because he is dominating 8-1 Toledo 38-10 with 9 minutes left in the game. Would be 9-1 with his only loss to Purdue but lost by 3 points to central michigan. Let's hypothetically say that Frost doesn't come to Nebraska, would you guys be mad or content with us rehiring Solich? Not saying it's gonna happen, just hypothetical.

That aint no s#!t. They’ve really screwed Kieron this year

Agree. Kieron and Aaron were my favorite duo of the 2016 season and they completely ripped that away for 2017 for f'ing god knows why

  3. Sean Callahan and Mike Farrell have a nice take on the situation in my point of view. I've been thinking the same things they said on a rivals article. I'm posting as a quote because the website formatting is atrocious don't know if it's just me.

    FIRST TAKE: SEAN CALLAHAN, HUSKERONLINE.COM

“It's really hard to say a lot, because Mike Riley still remains the coach and a change hasn't been made. With that said, I would compare Scott Frost to Jim Harbaugh for Michigan fans or Tom Herman for Texas fans. He's a guy with a local connection that is really doing well, and his success at UCF this season is hard to ignore. He's also from Nebraska and his parents live in Lincoln, as do many of his best friends. If a change was ever made at Nebraska, he's obviously the logical guy fans would want.”

    SECOND TAKE: MIKE FARRELL, RIVALS.COM

“Nebraska would be the best place. He would have the full support of the athletics director. He would have the full support of the alumni and the community and the fan base. He’s an ex-player and Nebraska would be the home run for him.

“Florida, the pressure to win there is intense. The next guy in is going to be under immediate scrutiny. He’ll have longer to work with Nebraska and he’s going into a conference division that is wide open. The West is not a dominant division in the Power Five so Nebraska makes the most sense.

“Add in the comments the new AD made about Frost, the fact that Nebraska lost three-straight at home and might not make a bowl, and that the fan base has pretty much given up on Riley and wants a change. They would have to beat Minnesota and then upset Penn State or Iowa to even get to six wins. I don’t think they’re going to get to a bowl. I think they’re going to lose four straight at home and I think he’s gone.”

What Farrell said pretty much hits exactly the points I have seen in the whole situation.

    Apathy has already set in.

The sellout streak won't last forever anyway. TVs are cheap and great.

People already care less. Kids wear Oregon and GS Warriors gear to school.

Fan support can dwindle but the B1G money won't dry up for a long time...

Fire/Hire/Fire/Hire could potentially go on for the next 30 years and who knows, we finally get lucky again. This isn't our last chance, and there is no way the people in charge think of it like that.

I can confirm. Just graduated high school last year, some people care a lot about the huskers like me and we talked about the team almost every day but most people couldnt care less, even a lot of the football players at my high school (played my freshman year can also confirm this). Most kids will say they are husker fans there but aren't at all passionate about it lol

I will. Smart young adults (recruits) know exactly what that slogan has stood for and spreading that stupid slogan and trying to merge it with our football team and university to try and promote the progression of our team is an asinine. And joking or not, people read this stuff and not too smart for even mentioning it. Dude thinks he has the capability of knowing who the next head coach should be, but wants to make a dumb comment like that.... smh

Oh shut up and get a sense of humor

Here's another video out there about the situation if you are bored and want to watch another persons take on the situation. Pretty much the same stuff though although I think he brought up the 2004 urban meyer with notre dame and florida being similar to the situation right now.

Anyway aside from that I just wanted to give my two cents. People keep saying that Frost will pick Florida solely because it's easier to win championships there and it's easy to get the skill players. Yeah it might be easy to get some skill players and he doesn't like recruiting but come on we have proven we can get skill players via donte williams and coach dub. If Frost has a good staff, they'll be able to get the skill players with him not having nearly as much involvement. Also, Florida, it isn't the 2006's - 2008's anymore. Don't you guys know once a team has their golden years it's not possible to ever rebound from it? You guys are now irrelevant and will be forever! /s. Anyway how in gods green earth would it be easier to win a title playing the normal gauntlet SEC west schedule let alone make the playoffs rather then overcoming an average wisconsin/iowa team and maybe getting an upset over osu/michigan/michigan state/penn state in the big ten title game here and there?

I am 18 years old so I'd consider myself to be a younger fan who didn't experience the glory. I became a Husker fan because I was born in Omaha and my dad and mom are huge fans. I one day got drawn into football while playing it in recess in the 4th grade (while i lived in Florida after moving) and decided to start watching the Huskers. Ever since I've been a huge fan but it's damn frustrating listening to the memories of the glory days that I never got to experience and don't see an ounce of those days left in today's huskers.

Btw while living in Florida I also grew a huge hatred toward Florida Gators and FSU Seminoles and always talked "friendly trash" to fans of those teams at my school/church. Everyone knew I was a big nebraska fan at my church haha. So yeah if scott frost ends up with the Gators I dont know how I'll feel. Probably in so much pain my body will go full numb. I already know if I read "Scott Frost to Florida as new HC" I'll have the biggest adrenaline rush of anger and sadness I've ever experienced.

  9. We need to run a up tempo offense and get rid of the huddle. Don't know why he hasn't figured that out but with tanner's arm it could really torch a defense if ran correctly. College football needs 3 things to compete for championships: quality up tempo offense, dual threat QB and a sound defense. That's it.

Just so I'm clear.  If Moos hires anyone other than Frost, you'll consider that a f'up hire?  Pretty narrow window there if so.   I have Frost so far at the top of my "want" list that he's two pages ahead of anyone else.  But if Moos winds up hiring someone else (heck Frost may not want to come here even if offered), I'm willing to get on board.

I'm on board with any hire that isn't out of left field like Mike Riley. Give me someone with an impressive long term resume that is also young and can build a team and actually gets into the game. That being said, Frost should be our first option and if that means giving him a paycheck of 8M a year to accept it then so be it. If I have to look up a coach again then my blood will reach damn near boiling point. I also find it hard to believe Frost would choose a different school over us reading his 2005 article that basically fits in like a puzzle piece to this years season. Frost is a competitor that wants to win championships, he isn't going to be doing that at a group of 5 school. UCF fans talk about how we are unstable after firing 9 win head coaches and Mike Riley possibly (hopefully) after 3 seasons. Yes Solich was mostly a bad move but Scott Frost is one of us and baring some ugly 0-12, 3-9 etc seasons, most fans would be willing to give Scott Frost 5-7 YEARS before calling for his head like we do with Riley.

  11. Honestly if Moos gets it done and hires Frost it will feel like a National Championship win in itself. For once our administration might not f up a hire and go out of left field. Hiring Frost people will be patient and allow him 5 years MINIMUM before calling for his head in extreme situations and if he doesn't pan out who's gonna be mad at the AD because we all wanted him anyway

  12. Literally all Bill Moos has to do is hire Scott Frost and he will be a hero at Nebraska for the next century. You have 3 easy ass jobs: 1. keep giving money to john cook, 2. hire scott frost 3. find a replacement for miles literally almost anyone you hire will be better and if it isn't then it's not that big of a deal it's husker basketball we always suck

Why the f#*k would we give Riley one more year to keep is 31st ranked recruiting class intact? There's this misconception that Mike Riley and co. are killing it on the recruiting trail. He's doing an adequate job.

Hot take: if anyone deserved another year based on keeping a recruiting class together, it was Callahan.

This ranking is mainly due to the fact we have way less scholarships to offer this year then everyone else. The average quality of recruit is good though

  14. Watched the press conference and post press conference interviews. I really get a genuine good vibe by the way he talks like he isn't a complete phony spitting obvious fake stuff he doesn't really believe in. The only thing I found concerning for what he said was that he has a short list of names if he were to hire a head coach. Doesn't completely count Frost out but it concerns me that our next head coach again won't be a national search for a big name guy but instead another AD quick, uninteresting hire.
