  1. I think they know their offensive identity and what they want to do, much like huskers of old. So since they are consistent in what they do and what they look for it's easy to target guys who fit the mold regardless of what ranking sites say. We lost our identity 15 years ago and every coach has changed the offense ever since. Whisky has changed coaches but the scheme stays the same. Makes recruiting easy and less down years like we have experienced IMO

we are currently trotting out Bryan Reimers and Connor Young at WR and our current group dropped 2 TD's in the Wisconsin game.

So yeah, we need WR's too.

I understand we need all positions, but line play has been bad most of the year and I don't see much recruiting going on there. Wisconsin didn't need any receivers the last 3 drives and why? Good oline play and depth. We wore out due to no depth, no rotating

  3. When you consider the entire class seems to have coordinated and communicated and decided this was the game they were all coming to is pretty cool when you think about it. Means it could be the start of a strong team building. A strong class for future leadership.

Warrior10 to your point. I totally get what your saying- the entire committed class is here this weekend. BUT him.

  4. If frost stays on upward trajectory that he is now and say he ends up at nebraska as head coach. I would think Parrella would have legit shot because he is nebraska Alum. too. Not to mention Frost is running a 3-4 defense as well so Parrella would fit the mold for coaching that front.

PS. I will admit i was hesitant about Frost. But seeing what he is doing now- if he can finish the year this strong he could draw comparisons to Tom Herman and Urban Meyer.

Can we say that he has even established any "momentum" when it comes to recruiting? Sure, with the new staff the effort put into recruiting is much more visible with their commitment to social media, but from a results standpoint, it has been similar to Pelini.

I will, however, concede that Riley and co has had a great deal of success in getting high profile recruits on campus and they've turned our Friday Night Lights camps into an excellent recruiting tool.

I dont recall Pelini ever getting as many highly rated guys interested, coming for visits and committing to Nebraska. Take this years commits and the last 2 recruiting cycles for Riley. What is his average rating per recruit based on 247 ranking? I bet it is quite a bit higher than Pelini. Pelini always filled out the classes in terms of numbers so the team recruiting rankings were probably similiar to Riley so far- but I bet the quality is better under riley.

  6. I think the game this weekend will tell us how the rest of this season is going to play out. If the defensive improvement we have seen the last few weeks is real and holds up against a real team like wisconsin and we play tough even if we dont win. I will like how the year finishes. Outside of ohio state and penn state I think the rest could be winnable. Now if this weekend is embarassing- the year is going to get ugly im afraid.

  7. Eichorst getting fired is the first domino.

Steve Pederson hired- Pederson fires frank solich then hires bill callahan.

Steve pederson fired- Osborne takes over- osborne fired callahan hires pelini.

Osborne retires/is forced out- Eichorst is hired- Eichorst fires pelini hires riles

Eichorst fired- New AD is hired. then ..................................

    You do the math.
