It's Christmas so the team in red should win, right? -
Nebrasketball Game #8: @ Wisconsin- Tuesday, December 22- 6pm FS1

They seem to stick to the game plan with motion and sharing the ball until the other team goes on a bit of a run then there are several players who try to be heroes and forget about the game plan. Hopefully this will improve as the players get to know/trust each other. -

Ouedraogo Set To Return For 2020-21 Season
ECisGod replied to seaofred92's topic in Husker Basketball
I think he's got a lot of promise, but he seems to have lost confidence. He clearly was playing much better at the end of last season. I'm wondering if not starting has hurt his confidence. It's almost like he feels like he has to play perfectly when he does play and as a result he plays tentatively, is half a step slow and makes a lot of mistakes. -
I'd say Kentucky is a bad team. They have five guys on the floor who don't know how to play together. They will probably figure it out before the end of the season, but right now no one has accepted their role and there is no communication on the defensive end of the floor. Basically they are all used to being "the man" and are not adjusting to playing as a team.

Husker F Derrick Walker Suspended 11 Games By NCAA
ECisGod replied to seaofred92's topic in Husker Basketball
How does the Florida A&M game cancellation effect this, or any other cancellations for that matter? It supposed to be half a season. If multiple games get cancelled, does the number of games suspended go down? For example if six more games are cancelled (20 played), does it turn into a 10 game suspension or does he end up sitting 70% of the season? I know some of that depends on the timing of the cancellations. If he sits for 14 games and then a bunch get cancelled he's hosed, but if teams we are supposed to play before the game at Maryland get cancelled does that reduce the number of games he has to sit? I also know that to answer these questions accurately someone would have to read the NCAA's mind, but does anyone have any guesses? -
I think part of the reason we looked bad against Nevada & South Dakota is how tightly the game was called by the referees. Against Nevada there were 51 total fouls called. Against USD there were only 41 (same as the McNeese St game), but most of them were in the first half. Neither team seemed to adjust in the Nevada game, but in the USD game they did and Nebraska built a decent lead until the end when they got sloppy. Hopefully Nebraska learns to adjust to the referees quickly because there will be more games where they call it tight at some point and they can't have multiple starters sitting with foul trouble.
