  1. Lunardi has the Huskers up to a 9 seed playing Clemson in Brooklyn in today's ESPN bracketology update. NCAA Bracketology - 2024 March Madness men's field predictions (espn.com) Bracket Matrix has them as a 10 seed & on all 88 brackets. Highest seed is 8, lowest is 12. The Bracket Project's Bracket Matrix - 2024
  2. Huskers are in "Work to do" on ESPN's bubble watch.
  3. CBS Sports' most recent bracket has the Huskers as a 10 seed playing BYU in Salt Lake. Palm also has Gonzaga out despite their gaudy NET ranking. This is in reply to the comparison of Gonzaga vs Nebraska above.
  4. Huskers sitting at 52 in the NET, 46 at Ken Pom, 50 at Bart Torvik, 53 in ESPN's BPI & 30 in BPI SOR. ESPN will update their bracketology tomorrow morning, I think CBS should update this afternoon. Bracket Matrix should update sometime today, but I have no idea when.
  5. Mast getting fouled at the end was not the only time Illinois "stripped" the ball and no foul was called. Virtually every time they drove and the ball was stripped there was a lot of arm & a little ball (especially in the first half), but on the other end it was always called. The other thing that annoys me is that every time Keisei comes off a screen the defender is grabbing his jersey and it gets called maybe once per game. If they truly want to have freedom of movement, then that needs to be called every time. Tominaga would shoot 20 free throws a game and the other team would be in foul trouble five minutes into the game.
  6. One of the main complaints with the NET is that it over emphasizes margin of victor/loss & Nebraska has been blown out on the road a lot.
  7. Underwood says "We did every thing we could to lose". The refs said " We want Illinois to win"
  8. Huskers got lucky on that missed free throw.
  9. They need to contain the dribble drive.
  10. Both Lawrence who's having a horrible game & Williams have 2 fouls.
  11. Lloyd has been bouncing back & forth between available & not. Always a toss up with him. Coleman no big deal since he's not in the rotation. Rice won't play much now that Gary is back.
  12. Huskers are 9.5 point underdogs with an over/under of 153.5. ESPN BPI gives them an 11.6% chance to win. Keita is available for emergency use only, I Ulis is suspended. GBR!
  13. The Wisconsin win didn't move the needle much for Jerry Palm either. He still has NU as a 9 seed at CBS Sports. 2024 NCAA Tournament Bracket Predictions - Bracketology - College Basketball - CBSSports.com
  14. I agree to some extent. There are some GREAT home environments in the B1G (PBA, Mackey Arena, The RAC - no I won't call it by its corporate booster name), but there are some pretty crappy ones too (Bryce Jordan, Schottenstein Center, Crisler Arena).
  15. Last I heard, the B1G is the hardest conference to win on the road. Not sure if that is a product of really great home environments or just really mediocre teams (or some combination).
  16. Last night's win didn't move the needle very much for Joe Lunardi. Nebraska still listed as "Last 4 in", but when looking at the actual bracket they should be "Last 4 byes" & a 10 seed. NCAA Bracketology - 2024 March Madness men's field predictions (espn.com)
  17. Up to 55 in the NET, 51 at T-Rank, 50 at Ken Pom, 60 in ESPN's BPI & 34 in BPI SOR. I don't think BPI has been updated. They have their current record at 16-6 but show their most recent movement is down 3. I don't think they fell 3 places after beating the team at 16 in the BPI.
  18. Road wins would be great, but at least stop getting blown out. I think they are on the right side of the bubble after last night's win, but if they keep getting blown out on the road the committee will say they don't deserve to be in because the games won't be at home.
  19. Wisconsin had been 120-0 when leading by 15+ at halftime until last night.
  20. And now it's back to NU being a 1.5 point dog. Must be a lot of money going on this game for it to move 3 points and then back.
  21. Money must be all going on Nebraska, the line is now Nebraska by 1.5.
  22. The spread is based on gamblers, the 33.5% is based on a computer algorithm, but I agree that it is a weird combination.
  23. Huskers are a 1.5 point underdog with an over/under of 144.5. ESPN BPI gives the Huskers a 33.5% chance to win. Gary will be a game time decision, Keita is available for emergencies & Ulis is suspended. GBR!
