Last season I was a bit shocked at how many bars are not open by 9am on a game day, why as a bar owner you would not do all you can to embrace that atmosphere makes zero sense to me.

 

Basically you will have Bodega's, Sandy's and Barry's, those will be open for sure.

Improved passing game and OL play will make our backs look a lot better than in recent past. It's hard for a RB to shine when the passing threat is practically nonexistent, that is unless you have an OL like Nebraska had in the 90s

I will pray for him and wish him the best.  PanCan is so aggressive.  6 months tops, but typically 3-6 months to live after diagnosis.  At least from what I have always known.  And that time goes quickly and it's no picnic at the same time.  

One of my best friends and my biggest mentor in coaching passed in Oct. 22 from PanCan. He was a rarity and lived for a little over 2 years after diagnosis. They said it is treatable if it is caught early, the problem is that typically once you start having issues that cause Drs to look for it, it is typically too late. It is a terrible way to go, and is extremely hard to watch. He and his family can definitely use all the prayers and support Husker fans can give.

I honestly won't be surprised if the young QBs struggle against the defense in the spring game. Based on last year, the defense is light years ahead of the offense, and returns a lot of production. This offense might as well be in year one again because it won't look anything like it did when HH was QB1. I think the young guys will flash some real potential but overall have an underwhelming performance, which will send the fanbase into a spiral. I expect the offense to look more like a well oiled machine week 1 then it will in the spring game.

I think it would be pretty difficult for Peterson to have fired Frank in 2003 if he had one the NC in 1999.  If we had not fumbled against Texas, I think we beat either VT or FSU in the NC game.  Perhaps that also elevates Frank's image nationally and we get better recruits and we never experience that 7-7 year in 2002.  And maybe we don't get blown out by Colorado in 2001.   Regardless, Peterson was wrong to have fired Frank when he had a 9-3 team.  Maybe Frank doesn't win another NC but he is able to maintain the program for 8-12 more years and sets up Bo to take over the program without the BC stain on it. 

I don't think Bo would have taken over the program if the bolded happened. I think it really turned away quality coaches when the university showed they weren't willing to be patient or reasonable if a coach had a couple of rough seasons. Who the hell wants to coach for a university that fires a coach after a 9 win season?

It'll definitely be an interesting situation to watch. There has to be a legit reason why he struggled to get hired as a HC anywhere in the NFL, and ended up as an one year OC for the commanders. Some of the reason was because everyone believes Reid actually calls the offense, but there has to be more to it than that.

I think you’re spot on. The difference between the BIG and PAC 12 is that every conference team you play has the talent to beat you. It’s a lot harder grind then what they’re used to

With the talent Notre Dame brings in year after year it's crazy that they haven't won a natty in 36 years. They honestly don't have the excuse of "it's hard to recruit to Notre Dame". Honestly Nebraska is the only team on that list that can say it's somewhat difficult to recruit kids to come play there

I have a hard time believing that Saban did not at least tell the AD that he was strongly considering retirement earlier in the year. I'm sure that the AD has a list of people but as we Nebraska fans know, it's not as easy to fill the job after an unbelievable run of success. Nobody wants to be remembered as the guy who killed the dynasty so to speak

I'll do it for two years at 1/10th Saban's salary. If they need that sacrificial lamb so to speak so nobody has to replace the legend, then I'll step up!

It'll be really interesting to see how many guys on the roster next year are on NIL scholarships vs. athletic scholarships. With as many guys that are coming in, you'd have to think several guys are going to get pushed out. 

This staff is freaking killing it!

I'm all for staff continuity I just fear that Satt will be the weakest link in this coaching staff. I don't think this year was all his fault. You can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig. This years offense was going to struggle no matter who was calling the plays. But his offenses at South Carolina were decent and did show some improvement from year 1 to year 2 but they lacked much consistency. He'd call an unbelievable game (like when they beat Clemson or Tennessee) and then an absolute stinker (like against Florida or Mizzou). I hope I'm wrong, but I never really like the hire and idk if he was really the best option then, or is the best guy for the job now. But I am going to trust Rhule because he has forgot more about football then pretty much any of us here know

IF he is brought on as QB coach or Co-OC then the writing is pretty much on the wall for Satt. If the offense doesnt make an obvious large improvement then we will already have the guy on staff who can take over and is proven to be an offensive stud. Also it may have something to do with contract buyouts and other things that we typically arent in the know about. I'd say that Rhule has a plan, and hopefully that plan is to kick Satterfield to the curb. 

How long does someone have to have been out to be eligible? It seems like Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss have been out a long time to just now be getting in
