    First game, and he's already declining post-game interviews. Not a good sign. What's worse is that people are already making excuses for him. Next week will be telling. If adjustments haven't been made an Oregon drops 50+ on us, then I'll start to worry.

    Our strength and conditioning program used to be top-notch. Last night these guys looked gassed before halftime, whiffing on blocks on offense, unable to get off blocks on defense. Looked like a bunch of 300-pound marshmallows out there. What happened?

    I expected to see improvement by Year 3. It's not happening -- same penalties, mistakes, sloppy play. Had the same problems during the Callahan and Pelini years, and Riley still hasn't managed to correct them.

    Props to ASU, they deserve to win. Just a pathetic effort all-around.
