Are you really concerned because he worked for the Browns? Tennessee has done a very good job recruiting since 2013 and this guy has had a hand in it. I'm pretty sure he isn't even close to a reason why Tennessee couldn't find a HC for 2 months.
Plus, he definitely isn't the reason the Browns were terrible and completely dysfunctional at drafting, developing, coaching and managing players.. In fact I bet he had excellent scouting reports and when he handed those reports to the GM, he said "they're already in order of highest to lowest graded prospects". *Browns GM flips the stack of reports over* "This guy! Brandon Weeden! That's our QB for the next 17 years!"
Let's give this guy a chance. We have all of our coaching staff in place right now and if things don't work out we can always let him go.. It's not like we hired Mike Riley to be our next head coach........

Go Huskies
Go Red Big
Well I doubt he's coming here.. I know some one has the statistics on how many recruits that have put "Huskies" or messed up our school name and actually end up coming to Nebraska...

1. Adrian Martinez
2a. Maurice Washington
2b. Miles Jones
4a. Tate Wildeman
4b. Will Honas
6. Cam Jones
HM: Jurgens and CJ Smith
Sleepers: CASEY ROGERS and Mike Williams

Wait, who CB’ed him!?
They're off topic.. Someone said we need a Corner Back (CB) in this class then someone else said Cam Taylor is a CB.
STAY ON TOPIC PEOPLE!!! IMPORTANT DAY!!!

Ah. I see, said the blind man. (Kinda late, isn't it?)
This is a 2019 kid so we have a year and a day to get this kid on board

Educate me. What is the point of a "re-offer"? What is the strategy/thinking behind re-offers?
he was offered by the previous staff so the new staff re-offered to let this kid know we are still interested

Is there a thread to request removing the poll choices from each recruit?
If I had to guess... If you want a choice removed, I would suggest not voting for the choices that you want removed.... just a thought
Thanks RedDenver, can't believe I missed that thread. Much appreciated!

Perhaps it just the way Im reading your verbiage, but are you stating that Frost only accepts Tannor if JJB decides against NU?
Not at all.. Frost would take both if they want N. I'm saying if JJB decides to go be N then Tannor will pick Florida. If JJB goes OSU then Tannor will be N. Not that he's worried about competition but us saying he will play early kind of goes out the window when we sign a player similar to him. If he wants to take a season to develop he will go to Florida

I think if we get:
Washington
JJB and/or Tannor
Canty or Bell or Robinson
Montgomery or Palmer
I would consider this class a great success and much better than most of us could have hoped for. If we only end up adding 4-5 when we could go up to 7 with known attrition, that just means we have openings for grad transfers, regular transfers, late signing JUCO's, or added schollies for next year's class.
This class is a massive success right now let alone adding one or more players. I am honestly impressed with this staff's ability to recruit in just 2 months. 2019 will be super exciting!
I really hope we have some big names at the Spring game too. This will be a complete sell out and Memorial Stadium will be electric! HUSKER! POWER!

In no order but on NSD here's who we grab...
Washington
JJB or Tannor (I am leaning Tannor right now)
Hunt
Canty
Taylor
Wild Cards:
Montgomery - I think his visit, the potential to play early and this defense will win him over
Otito

Sounds like Tannor is N if JJB isn't. Fingers crossed this is true and we land one of these studs

Brian Dohn is an analyst in the NE who has been very tied to this recruitment and even he has been all over the board with reports. If a kid is feeling/giving mixed signals, you're going to get mixed/changing reports.
Yeah, I agree. I just think it's funny that we all (fans and other recruiting analysts) see a Wilt CB change and immediately change CB picks based upon him. I get he's doing his job and trying to accurately guess where these kids are going to play college ball but in the cases of Nikko, JJB and some others, these recruiting experts have no better clue than you or I. I really think that this kid doesn't know and I think whoever gets the last in home with him or gets into his ear last will end up closing the deal.. Sure hope Frost shows up on NSD at his school (if that's even allowed)
-
Ummm... Can't these recruiting experts just admit that with some recruits, case in point JJB, they have absolutely no clue what is going to happen...
Kind of like Nikko Hall, Colo St!?
If Wilt is flip flopping all over the place the past month then I'm pretty sure he's just making an educated guess that we're out only because he hasn't committed to N yet.

Yep, those are the most likely, and add in Andre Hunt.
And let’s add in Cam Taylor...

Sounds like Auburn may be close to offering.
This has been my biggest fear with Taylor.. From what I have heard he had always been waiting for the Auburn offer but over the past couple weeks he has dismissed them as a team he would end up at. However, I'm not sure if he dismissed Auburn because he had not received an offer yet or if it was because he felt insulted by Auburn and even if they offer now he won't be considering them because he was always a back up plan. Fingers crossed he felt disrespected and our staff has shown nothing but love.
-
He reminds me a LOT of this one kid I watched this season.. He was a beast of a running back from someplace in Texas. I think it was Trinity Catholic or something.. Their line wasn't anything special but he made kids miss in the backfield and has gazelle-like breakaway speed.. The guy I'm thinking of also played really well in the Under Armour All American game too.
Maurice Washington! That was the guy. Hope we can get him to silent commit this weekend

Kinda getting the feeling right now based on what I'm reading for this staff it's less plan A plan B and more: we got a pool guys we think are good enough and whoever commits gets the spot available.
Perhaps we take this kid and Palmer both depending on how things shake out elsewhere and both wanna be here.
Can never have enough Corners imo, at least that's philosophy with my team on NCAA 14.
Yeah obviously wqe'd take both him and Palmer but I have a feeling Palmer isn't coming.
McKewon said there's 2 corners dealing with injuries and one is a knee injury (Lee I think). So we need as many true corners as we can get!

Visiting this weekend. He likes but has not been blown away by Maryland. Another 4* DB Noah Boykin decommitted from the Terps a week ago as well.
If he has a great visit, as most recruits do when they visit UNL, he would be a very solid plan B for Palmer. Shoot, if he wants N this weekend we may make him plan A.

NC State is close to home, he has friends that go there and that are committed there, and he seems to have a good bond with the staff since they've been recruiting him for a while. With this kid deciding and signing on NSD and us having slim chances here, I think this staff is going to push hard for Cam Taylor (Praying Auburn doesn't offer him though)
-
He's committing right after Frost and the entire defensive staff walk in the door

McKewon was on TBL yesterday talking about how many times we have recruited OL from California over the past 8-10 years and only 1-2 have actually come out here. He goes on to say he has an article written up about this with some "very interesting statistics" but he is waiting to post it until we get this kid to commit. (or if he commits elsewhere)
He also mentioned that we told Bell the OL spot is his if he wants N. However, we put a clock on it. If he decides to take that last visit we will pursue other options to ensure we get a OL in this class. Based on the in-home visits we saw last night, the pressure is on to make Bell decide if he truly wants to go to Nebraska.

I think we should all get on twitter and bash any school we want and tag recruits with it! Idk if this guy tagged specific articles or what, but let's all tag recruits and just say, "According to Forbes and Harvard Business Review, Notre Dame has the highest rate of unemployment after graduation of any US college or University. You'd be better off at Devry." or how about "The New York Times said that ND is soon to be under investigation for severe NCAA violations and will start by imposing a self ban effective in 2018."
THAT'S when it's okay to tweet recruits.. When we can back it up with big name reliable sources and such

It just started in the last week or two but certain CB’s are now VIP. Idk how they decide which ones are and which aren’t but it’s another way to get subscribers..
on another note.. if you click the recruit you want to know about it will say what % CB’s for each school and that will include the VIP CB’s. It just won’t tell you who that specific person picked

Dang, we must REALLY want this guy if we've offered him 3 times! Must be one heck of a punter!
