Burrow took one of the greatest leaps in CFB histroy. I don't think AM is capable of that but to think that AM isn't worthy of starting is funny. AM had equal or better stats as a true freshman than Burrow did as a 4th year JR

    Burrow's rsJR stats:

    2,894 passing yards 16 TD 5 INT (57.8%)

    399 rushing yards 7 TD (3.1 ypc)

    Martinez FR stats

    2,617 passing yards 17 TD 8 INT (64.6%)

    629 rushing yards 8 TD (4.5 ypc)

I agree completely that people are too quick to jump down AM's throat already calling for someone else to be our QB of the future.

I do think a jump similar to Burrow's is certainly possible. Maybe not historic NCAA numbers but top 10 in the country numbers. Burrow stayed healthy and had 3 insanely good WR's along with an NFL caliber RB. With added talent on the outside, depth at RB and a healthy AM I truly think the sky is the limit for him next year.

This is my guess for what we're still after with who we're looking at for those spots:

    WR - 1 - Marcus FlemingAlante Brown
    NT - 1 - JUCO Jordon Riley
DE - 1 - Tuli TuipulotuNusi MalaniJUCO Julius Coates
    OLB - 1 - Kaden JohnsonJimari Butler

    CB - 1 - Darion Green-WarrenMyles Slusher*Kendall Dennis
    S - 0-1 - Jaiden Francois

What about the DE Payne? Think we're on the outside looking in?

And if Jimari and Johnson are both N we better take them both!

I really hope he signs Wednesday. Lot of time for even the FSU staff to keep in his ear

Technically the only way any coaches can talk with him is if Greene reaches out to the coaches directly. Sure there are ways around this but the fact he's committed after mom visited and how Frost insists that players dont commit until they are ready to shut down their recruitment makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about this kid.

So we have Betts and Manning committed and trending with Fleming...if we get those three, would we take Brown?

We also have Nixon. With 3 in the fold and possibly Fleming, Brown is the back up plan

In about a 48 hour span, Frost will go from Kansas (Corcoran & Conn) to Lincoln (Brown) to Oklahoma (Morrison & Slusher) to Lincoln (walk-on recruiting event) to Miami (Gray & Delancy and probably Fleming & Francios)

I know Green-Warren was expecting us tomorrow as well. Think the Michigan momentum keeps us from making the trip? Or we doing that on Friday?

Betts is one of the highest rated receivers we have ever recruiting and he's 6'3" 190 lbs.  He can probably put on more weight, but why would you say you don't think he's going to contribute much as a freshman?

First off, there's tons of highly rated players that don't contribute much as a FR.. I'll just compare playing time to WanDale. He got a lot of playing time because he enrolled early, hit the weight room and had all winter, spring and summer to learn the playbook. Even then it took a couple weeks before they really rolled out WanDale and let him get to work..

Betts will get here in the summer with limited weight room and playbook exposure. He will need to prove he can block (I know he's been working on that) as well. I'm not saying he won't play at all but I can definitely see the staff using Betts in 4 games and redshirting him. I don't think he will have the impact you and others expect of a highly touted 4*..

Having said that, all of that could apply to Robinson but I would rather have 2 or 3 guys that size than just the 1.

Sounds like the guys on Huskermax (I'm assuming we can reference them now) think this is going to be a very difficult pull. Would be a really nice add, but I get the feeling this is going to be a hard one.

Florida kid once committed to a FL school, decommitted while visiting another FL school.. yeah I'd say we have our work cut out for us. I would love to see him take a visit but even then the pull to play close to home is going to be tough for us overcome.

Hope he at least visits! Then he can pick up our hat on signing day just to throw it down and put on a Miami one. That'll really get us going!

Okay.. trending up might be a stretch at the moment BUT we didn’t just fire our HC! Oh oh oh and we went from 4 wins to 5 wins AND we’re at least in a winnable division......

Sh!t I’m grasping at straws here..
