Last season we started to see video of weight room accomplishments or players talking about the S&C program after a couple weeks. Any updates on how things are going or when we might hear some progression news?

Whelp, answered my own question... UCLA it is
-
It's 7 (his time)..... where's the announcement
-
As I posted in Njoku's profile, I think Frost was in Texas and Oklahoma to visit 2020 kids and stopping by to visit Houston is just an added bonus just in case things go UCLA's way tomorrow. Still a possibility Frost or Walters gets out to NJ for a final visit but I think UCLA still has a little ground to make up. We'll obviously know tomorrow and if we miss out, Houston's commitment should come this weekend.
If we miss on Njoku, no doubt we push hard to get the Miami transfer Cager. Need a big body WR

Surprised that UCLA has such an average class so far (47th)....would suck if they get Njoku - kid is legit. I feel like he would be UCLA bound, but signs are pointing at Nebraska until we get the Fong BombI know people are worried about Chip potentially having the last visit and last inhome but I think he needs to make up ground here. I have a feeling he's ours.
Frost being in OKC is to visit 2020 Texas and Oklahoma recruits which swinging by to see houston is just an added bonus. I could be wrong but I have a good feeling Njoku is N.
Cincinnati insider CB for N this afternoon. Could be following Fong though

At 6’5 graham would be amazing at some coverage. Even at 270 I don’t want his hand on the ground. I see him as a physical pass rusher and run stopper who can zone cover. Perfect.

I see you both as board room coaches and THANK GOD we have Frost and Co running things and not you 2...

Why not.
Because the only adults that should talk to kids are his family, recruiting reporters and coaches...
Oh and bag men.. did you happen to give him a bag of money after the talk? If so, then we’re in the clear. Don’t want to violate any rules
-
Any chance we take both Houston and Njoku?
My guess is we’re taking 2 WR with these 2 and the Miami transfer as options.
I see us getting OLB (prefrrably Parker), Pola-Mao, 2 WR and Lockhart as a development project. That would fill the class nicely

That sideline reporter really doesn’t like the cold.
Yeah he seemed like a BOB (big ole b itch). You could tell he wanted NPG to go to USC.

Remember he is 18 years old. It takes time for these kids to ramp up and play, especially against some of the talent they saw.
I do think Tiawan looked like one of the most lost ones, but the 1-1 drills are pretty unfair in the sense that the QB has no pressure in face and no safety help. WR should be winning that drill consistently.
I agree development will take time and he has 4-5 years of it. So he can still become an All American and 1st round draft choice if he works at it. And I'm with you on 1-1 drills heavily favor WR's. Maybe it was just a bad day. But to me 1-1 show a CB's instincts and ability to react, recover and overall show of effort.. All of which seemed lacking in that video..
Again, very very small sample size but that was a surprise to see.

Yikes, Tiawan Mullen looks lost out there vs these top wr's... I know it's just 1 on 1's but I'm happy we won't see that in our secondary.

as NU gets more and more speed players the QB is going to be less about talent and more about quickness with the "mind" - I'm sure the staff test the kids before they get on campus, however knowing how HS kids will adapt to the college level of speed is always a large factor.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Mario sends out one of his QB tests to high school players before he even offers a scholarship to someone.

Says who? The guy got buried on the Georgia depth chart after starting the season.
I get its Georgia but still, he wasnt even being dressed at points.
I am not saying he isnt a good player, but he hasnt really shown a whole bunch yet.
I think this year he was supposed to have his chance to be the started but Tyson Campbell came along and ruined that.. And there are about 99% of D1 safety's that would be stuck behind Campbell. Kid is a stud.

Pola Gates and pola mao is my guess
Just throwing out a theory.... Do you think Pola- Gates and Pola-Mao actually signed today but told the media that they weren't signing until February just to keep it a secret as long as possible.. Then they can announce they signed with Nebraska at the Poly Bowl?
-
Frost in his interview said the focus will be an OLB/ pass rusher, WR depth (my guess Njoku or D. Houston), CB (Pola- Gates or Starks as plan B)
He did dasay he would take young talent no matter the position but did specifically say DL (Pola-Mao I’d assume)
Any thoughts on OLB/ pass rush prospects? Chester Graves?
Excited to see the staff get on the 2020 class too!
-
The only way I say we get involved is if Iowa wants him. Just recruit him to spite those c$%keyes

Not signing this week. Will announce at his All-Star game and sign in February
Is it because he wants to keep it a secret until the All-star game and he's worried word will get out if he signs?
To me this isn't great for us.. Last thing I want is Bama hanging around for another 6 weeks

Just curious of peoples thoughts, but is Jordan plan A and Parker plan B here? Anyone have a preference as well?
I like both but I do think Jordan has more of the "freak" athleticism to him but both seem to be solid in that area. I wouldn't be disappointed if Parker is a consolation prize here
