  1. Good lord these were almost more embarrassing then the game. Farniok said he loves playing against guys like Chase Young because it’s a challenge. Homeboy Chase Young got more resistance from his ceiling fan before bed every night.

Personally ill I’ll take some empty seats in exchange for not being emabarassed on national TV

Yep. And we had gameday. Bet OSU was full of laughs when they realized gameday was coming out to see them face the equivalent of their scout team.

Both sides of the ball. When OSU wanted to, there were holes a Cadillac could drive thru.

Ask 46-12 Paul Chryst about the  trench, I think he’ll have some more answers then 7-10 Frost. f#&% I hate that we have to constantly watch a Big 10 west team do it right while we scratch our f#&%ing head trying to reinvent the f#&%ing wheel.

This is the type of hilarious pretentious ignorance that will continue to fuel Iowa disdain for us as a fanbase and program, which will continue to fuel more like you to keep thinking of the team who has beaten us 5 years in a row as, "beneath us", which will continue to put a chip on their shoulder, and around and around it goes.

Are you talking about my post?

  6. Iowa-Nebraska has the makings of a Colorado-type rivalry. Will it be Oklahoma, no. But that’s okay, there is a ton of hatred right now and I’m pretty sure Iowa is treating it like a rivalry - and wiping the floor with us. Our fan bases constantly interact and I would venture to guess both fan bases spend more time trash talking each other, than any other team. We’re a top 10 progam, Iowa is probably a top 30 program, we share a border, we play every year at the end of the year, in the coming years this game should have division title implications - Embrace It.

Well, my guess is Pelini is drinking champagne, giving toasts:   "I'll bet they wish they had my 9 wins now."  *clink*   *gulp*  mmm... "No matter how much I cussed and spit."  *clink*  *gulp*  mmm....

I f#&%ing hate Pelini, and halfway through this meltdown, part of me remembered Pelini did beat these powderpuff Colorado teams. Frost making me long for the Pelini days is the worst thing he’s done as a head coach by a wide margin.

  8. I'll say this and then I'm done. Punishment from Nebraska and the revenge porn misdemeanor put aside - I think there is legit arguments on both of those. The Child Porn charge against Mo is a bunch of BS. That law is in place to protect children from adult predators. We're talking adults who pray on children - not teenagers who have consensual sexually explicit material of people within a year of age, on their smart devices.  To put him in jail, put him on the sex offender list and basically ruin his life for this would be absolutely insane and I can't with a good conscious say that should even be on that table, after reading that report.

Other than the fact that he supposedly possessed and sent a video of a minor in a sex act which he was supposed to delete, yeah, not much of a case here...

That’s an over simplification right? Let’s understand these we’re teenagers in a relationship with bad vibes, let’s not act like he is Jared in the subway ads.

  10. Man reading through that report, It’s really hard to for me to see why this is still a case.

Theres zero indication that Maurice knew this was an assault. She starts the convo “what’s up stud” and asked why he blocked her and Maurice (already stated by the girls family he was hurt by the video), says remember this ho and sends it back to her? This is high school drama you see on MTV, not a felony case.

My thought was Mo should be suspended for the first game this year to let him know that what he has done is wrong, and he deserves some type of punishment while the case is on-going.  The University decided on a 1/2 game suspension, so me and the University have similar opinions.

While I am not excusing what Mo did, I think the felony charge is only that strong due to some oddly-worded California laws, along with timing of when Mo became an "adult".

This is exactly where I’m at. Mo could sit out a couple games for all I would have cared, that’s up to Frost. But to throw out the harshest penalty to a person not in the video, didn’t film the video and wasn’t the one who mass distributed the video is pretty weak. Using the timing of the situation to throw a felony at him, because he was being a douche at that moment, doesn’t seem like the proper justice in this situation.

I mean she said he was making sexual advances but I dont see any of that? I see she reached out to him and said what's up stud? Then after a few exchanges he didnt reply it looked like? Hard to tell with all the redactions in parts.

Regardless the fact that this is a felony is asinine

Honestly it seems like this type of thing probably happens at every HS in America. Not to mention we could probably confiscate every HS boy's cell phone the day they turn 18 and hit them with Child Porn for images they have of their current/ex girlfriends. This is an extreme misuse of that law and undermines the real reason that law was put into place.

Mo made a lot of poor decisions here, but sending a video of someone his age, during some teenage romantic drama shouldn't be a felony - it should be a slap on the wrist and windsprints until he learns how to make better decisions.

EDIT: I want to make clear, I assume Mo didn't think the video was an assault, judging from the context provided by the documents above.

Well, I've finally joined the club - i watched the first season of Last Chance U yesterday and i see exactly what you were saying after having watched that.  Dayam, they were making every effort to get these kids to be successful and many still struggled.

If you don't make it at a juco - you're not gonna make it anywhere. They hand hold those kids more than they do in high school in some cases.

  14. 3 minutes ago, Dilly Dilly said:

Alright, this is frustrating.  Forgive my ranting here, but just exactly how hard is it to get through the bare minimum academic requirements at a stinkin' JUCO, for crying out loud.  Were academics the reason he's in a Juco to begin with?  If so, and there is still an issue after a "second chance", then how is he going to get through the academics at a more stringent college/university?

Academics were the reason he was at the JUCO. It's crazy, watching last chance U - you see exactly why those kids are at JUCO. Some figure it out, some think their talent alone will get them to where they need to go. The worst part it isn't aptitude, it's effort. If you are working hard to get good grades - the people at the JUCO will see it that you come through successful.

I just wonder why authorities aka the police etc who viewed the tap decided no charges should be pressed etc. At what point do we rely on the law and not on public perception? I am not standing up for Hunt but more the line we as a society walk.

Honestly it's not up to the Cops to decide if he's guilty or not - charges should of been pressed if that is what she wanted. They leave the rest to the prosecutor’s office. If it turns out she did want to press charges and the PD wouldn't let her, they'll probably be in some hot water. Regardless, I'm not a chiefs fan but they did the right thing. With Hill on the roster they probably preached to everyone to be upfront and straight forward with them moving forward as they can't afford another black eye - sounds like Hunt tried his best to keep all this from the FO. That being said I'm sure we will see Hunt pop up on a roster next season.

The amount of people that are mad about this is astonishing. Dude earned every bit of this. Someone at the Rookie Symposium should do a presentation on opportunity cost.  Hunt, you are so dumb that you cost yourself millions of dollars because you had to square up against a girl 1/3 the size of you -just becasue she was (probably) running her mouth. Do you understand how easy it is to walk back into room, lock the door and call security if she continues to bother you?

24 total minutes and 3 points off the bench.  If Palmer isn't in foul trouble he probably plays 12-ish more minutes which means probably 12 minutes from the bench.  We have absolutely no depth.

We were told by some that we shouldn't read too much into the poor three-point shooting during the early games.  Despite the fact that we've been a poor three-point shooting team since Miles got here.  Oddly enough, we are still a poor three-point shooting team.  Yet Miles is looking for us to take a lot of them.

A 3:7 assist-to-turnover ratio is ... less than ideal.  And I'm pretty sure we had four assists in about the first five minutes of the game.  Two assists in the last 35-ish minutes of the game.  Love that Miles offense.

I say it every year - I will not write this team off this early. But damnit, I can not envision a scenario where a Tim Miles team wins a tournament game. The only time I've ever seen his offense work consistently against good teams is when Petteway played out of his mind for a 20 game stretch. Hopeful yet very skeptical on this season.

Oh I've been the lone liberal on a few conservative Facebook exchanges and yeah, that gets tiring. When a likeminded voice pops in, it is a relief.

Gotta admit I never expected that ratio on a Nebraska Football fansite, but if you look at the actual political affiliations here and the variety of concerns, it's a pretty thoughtful group with well-supported opinions.

I was frightened to click on this board, I figured it would be a forum built on fear of the boogeyman taking everyone's guns. Pleasantly surprised with the discourse. And yes it seems to lean left, but everyone here is well spoken and will hear you out if you have a bone to pick.
